Chapter 34
"A little more of lies and acting, and then he'd be eating from my hands!" Simran said with a wicked smile.
She waited till she heard the knock and went to open the door flaunting her attributes at him.
"Sam, you cant imagine how happy I am to see you here," Simran said in a very seductive voice, and giggled a little, "oh sorry, I completely forgot, please do come inside." And she made way for him to enter her room. Once he was in, she closed and locked the door and followed him inside.
Rathore looked around for anything suspicious, without making Simran notice it. He found a sofa and sat down on it. However his eyes were checking and analysing everywhere.
"Sam kya dhoond rahe ho?" Simran said when she saw that instead of looking at her, he was looking everywhere else.
"Kuch bhi to nahin! I was just checking this room. It's very luxurious," Rathore said the first thing which came to his mind. He couldn't raise Simran's attention more, so he turned to look towards her, trying his best to hide his disgust, and said lovingly and a bit confusedly, "Simran, I wanna know what happened between us? I don't remember anything! I cant live this way anymore, I feel so blank and empty inside. You claim to know and love me nah, then please tell me everything! Noone in my family are telling me the truth!"
Simran couldn't believe her luck at all, so Rathore was willing to trust her and needed her help. It was the perfect chance she could have to make Rathore fall for her again. She sat down on her bed and said, "Are you sure? I don't want you to hurt you and make you fall sick again like last time!"
"Don't worry about me, I just need the truth about those missing years of mine!" Rathore said. He could see that this was actually working, because Simran had a huge smile on her face, and seemed lost in her thoughts. Probably she was working on her fake story to tell him, he thought.
After sometime, Simran started to tell him how both had met some years ago, and how despite everything she had asked for forgiveness, and through her deeds had proven him that she was worth his love, and she had also loved him a lot. But still Rathore had refused her due to anger, but then one day when her life had been in danger, and she had almost been killed, he had finally realised his love for her, and since then they had been a couple. But she had been on a modelling assignment when he was hurt, that's why she hadnt known about it and when she had returned, she came straight to meet him at his office, but he no longer remembered her. She stood up and came to kneel down next to him, and put her head on his lap and said, "We were really much in love." She smiled after her story, she was confident that now Rathore was gone, and would believe her.
Rathore wanted to vomit when Simran came towards him and laid her head on his lap, but he couldn't do anything now, his hands were tied due to circumstances. He forced himself to put his hands on her shoulders and said with a gentle smile, "Simran, thank you for everything! But it's still not clear! I need some time. Can I have a glass of water?"
"Sure why not," she said and went to take her bottle of water which was next to her bed. All the while, Rathore was checking around when he saw her mobile lying on a table, and next to it a camera. He remembered the pictures he saw of Shaina and that Yashveer, and thought maybe there was something in it. When Simran came to give him a glass of water, he purposely got up and was clumsy that he fell on her and the whole water was thrown on her.
"Shit, I'm so sorry," Rathore said.
Simran was very angry that she was wet, but she could hardly show it to Rathore. "It's ok, I'll just go and change my clothes," and went in the bathroom.
Taking this opportunity, Rathore took the camera and try to switch it on, but the battery was down completely. So he quickly removed the memory card in it, and kept the camera back in place. He went to sit down and waited for Simran to come back. After a few minutes Simran was back in another revealing dress, she didn't lose one moment to entice him. Rathore stayed there for another half an hour asking various things about their past so that she doesn't get alert at all, and finally he said that he had to go.
Both were happy after this turn of event, Rathore because maybe he had got some clues, while Simran because she thought that she was succeeding in fooling Rathore. As soon as Rathore got out of the room, he received a call from Arjun.
"Hein Arjun, kya hein? Kuch mila?" Rathore asked.
"Yes, finally that person, who said he saw Shaina in the room, has confessed. He admitted that he saw Shaina was tied on the bed, and that a lady and that dead man had given him money to shut his mouth up. And that lady had also paid him to send that woman to clean that room at the other time when the body was found! He has positively identified Simran as the lady who paid him," Arjun said.
"Ok, I have also came across a memory card, maybe we can find more clues against Simran, at least enough to arrest her," Rathore said, "let's meet in the office in half an hour."
"So Shree is there anything in it?" Rathore said and was very tensed.
Shree didn't believe it, Rathore was so scared for Shaina. "Give me a few more seconds, you barely gave me that card some ten seconds ago!"
After some minutes, Shree called everyone in the conference room and showed them what was in the card.
They couldn't believe that there were still some pictures of Shaina and Yashveer in it, but what shocked them afterwards was that there was a small video clip also at the end. All were shocked when Shree played the video.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yashveer knew that he couldn't trust Simran, and since he didn't wanna go behind the bars again, he had decided to at least record something in his favor. Thus that night, after releasing Shaina, he had put the camera in the video mode on a table and recorded all what transpired. Little did he know that he was going to record his own murder.
Yashveer had started to talk about their plans to remove Shaina out of the way and then fool Rathore, and finally they could have their revenge on these two. Even Simran was responding and saying that this is only the start, and she had better things planned ahead. She had promised that she'd destroy Shaina completely. After some time, Yashveer started to feel dizzy, and then he couldn't stand on his own feet.
Simran then took a knife and stabbed him, and the poor thing was so much under the feel of the drug that he couldn't even defend himself. Simran wiped the knife, she could see Yashveer losing a lot of blood, and knew that he didn't have much time left. She disappeared somewhere, and water running could be heard. After a few minutes she came back to check the body and could see that Yashveer was still breathing. She put a hand on his head and said, "Sorry had to do this. You are no longer useful to me alive!"

That's all the camera had recorded. Everyone in the team were shocked at this.
"How can she be so cruel?" Riya asked shocked from the way Yashveer died.
"She had been playing with lives of many girls, and what's for her to kill a man!" Rathore spit out angrily.
"But how come she didn't check the camera? Isnt it suspicious?" Chotu asked.
"Maybe the battery just went down, and she never realised that Yashveer had been recording their conversations! Anyway it's good for us, since now we can easily arrest her!" Arjun said.
"Let's go team," Rathore said.
"Sir, I'd like to stay with Shaina and give her the good news!" Riya broke in the conversation.
Rathore and Arjun agreed to it, because they didn't see anything wrong with this. So everyone went away to arrest Simran, while Riya went to give the good news to Shaina.
"Thanks for everything. Thanks for believing in me," Shaina sobbed in Riya's arms.
"Shhsssh, don't cry. Everything will be ok now," Riya said and after sometime, released herself from Shaina's hug and said, "Sorry have to go back home, I'll tell the whole family about this! But you wait here, there are some formalities to be completed."
Riya gave Shaina another tight hug, and then went out.

She took out a letter which she had written some hours ago, and went to put one in the Chief's office. She was very hurt, but now only wanted to hide a bit, away from everyone, so she had decided to take one month's leave from her job, and leave the Rawte's house.

She looked around one last time at her office and Arjun's chair, but her self-esteem had been very much hurt by Arjun's words. It was better this way, maybe time will help her and Arjun in realising what was the most important to them. She left the office, and went to tell everyone at home the good news about Shaina. Everyone was so happy, that they decided to go to the temple to thank god, making things even easier for Riya to pack her things and leave the house.

A few hours later
Simran had finally been arrested, and Shaina was now a free lady. Everyone was celebrating in the office. Shaina was crying tears of joy, and gave each a big hug for helping her. She had already given everyone a hug, and the last person remaining was Rathore. When she approached him, she felt a bit shy to give him a hug, so she only extended her hand and said thanks.
Rathore had been observing Shaina give Chotu, Shree and even Arjun a big hug. But he was shocked when finally she came to him, instead of giving him a hug, she was blushing and only forwarded her hand to him.
"This is not enough! This is called discrimination!" he teased her, and without giving her any time, he dragged her in his arms for his hug.
After some time, Arjun excused himself to go in his cabin to complete the case's report. He had been looking for Riya since they arrived back, but she wasn't to be seen anywhere. Finally Shaina had taken pity on him and told him that Riya had gone to the house to inform everyone about the good news. He sat on his chair, and decided to finally talk with her. He had really missed her and her voice today. Just as he was dialing her number, he saw a letter addressed to him. He put his phone aside and opened the letter.

Arjun rushed home, but it was too late. Riya was gone, none of her things were still in her room. He tried calling her, but her number was unreachable.
