Viraat looked at Mannat as she entered his room, looking all upset.

Viraat: (worried) Mannat, kya hua Baby? Aap udaas kyun ho?

Mannat looked up at her Dad and her eyes filled with tears yet again. Viren entered Viraat's room and saw Viraat sitting in front of Mannat.

Viren: (smiles) Kya chal raha hai yahan?

Mannat and Viraat turned towards Viren. Viren frowns as he saw tears in Mannat's eyes, he hurriedly walked towards her and knelt down, in front of her.

Viren: (worriedly) Mannat, kya hua Princess? Aap ro kyun rahi ho? (looking at Viraat) Viraat tune kuch kiya kya?
Viraat: (looking at Viren) Bhai maine kuch nahi kiya, pata nahi (turned to face Mannat) isse achanak kya ho gaya. (hands on her cheeks) Mannat, baccha kya hua, Papa ko batao.
Mannat: (tears rolling down her cheeks) Maa...

Viraat eyes filled with tears, the past, which he was trying to forget, was once again in front of him as a question, that to asked by his own daughter.

Mannat: Bagwaanji ne mujhe Mama kyun nahi diya? (Why didn't God gave me a Mom?)

Viren looked at Viraat, who's tears were rolling down his cheeks, his eyes were still glued on Mannat. He placed his hand on his shoulder, and looked at Mannat with a fake smile.

Viren: (holds her hand) Mannat Beta, aisa kuch nahi hai, aap jao khelo.)

The way they both got worried... uff VV Bros r awesome... Both virika n maanat r missing their one parent😭😭... Felt bad 4 both.. Virman's child is with Virat.. n Virika's child is with Jeevika... Y they all got seperated.. its almost a shock n interesting plot.. just amazing... Hope that it clears soon...😊😊 Yup dey r separated wid only 1 kid...n willl clear da confusion soon..😊

Jeevika sits on the floor while crying her heart out, as Virika left. Maanvi sat beside her sister in order to console her.

Jeevika: (looking at Maanvi) Mannu...Mannu main ek achi Maa baane mein na kamiyaab rahi. Maine itni koshish ki Virika ko woh pyaar dene ki jo har Maa apne bacchon ko dete hai, par main nakamiyab rahi. (crying) Nahi bann payi main ek achi Maa. Maine kitni koshish ki apne aatit ko bhulane ki, par...par aaj fir mere saamne mera aatit aa gaya.
Maanvi: (teary eyes) Di...yeh aap kaisi baat kar rahi ho? Aapki isme kya galti hai? Aapne Virika ko Maa aur Baap ka pyaar, dono diya hai. Usse kisi bhi chiz ki kami nahi hone di, aapke jaisi Maa is duniya mein shayad hi koi hogi.
Jeevika: Nahi Mannu, meri Bacchi abhi sirf paanch saal ki hai aur usne mujhse yeh sawal kiya. Kal ko woh badi hogi toh...aaj toh humne usse jaise bhi karke samjha diya, par jab woh badi ho jaye gi, samjhne layak ho jaiye gi, toh hum kya jawab deinge usse?

Viraat: Kaise samjhegi Bhai? Aaj usne yeh sawal kiya hai, kal ko jab woh school jaiye gi, tab uske dost usse yeh sawal pucheinge, aur fir woh humare samne yahi sawal puchegi. Tab kya jawab deinge hum usse Bhai?
Viren: (hand on his shoulder) Viraat, Mannat bahut samjhdaar bacchi hai..
Viraat: (teary eyes) Bhai, woh samjhdaar hai isiliye toh mujhe aur fikar ho rahi hai. Aaj usne pucha hai ki uske paas Maa kyun nahi hai. Kal ko woh puche gi ki uski Maa usse chodh kar kyun chali gayi, toh kya jawab deinge hum usse.
Viren: Agar tujhe aisa lagta hai toh...tu shadi kar le, Mannat ke liye.

Viraat looked at Viren, shocked, confused, and disbelievingly.

Viraat: Shadi karlun? Kyun? Kis liye?
Viren: Mannat ko ek Maa dene ke liye.
Viraat: Bhai, agar aap meri jhaga hote toh kar lete dusri shadi?

Viren just looked away from Viraat.

Viraat: Kehna aasan hai Bhai, karna utna hi mushkil. Aur agar main shadi kar bhi leta hun toh kya garantee hai ki woh ladki meri Mannat ko ek Maa ki tarah paalegi, na ki ek step-mom ki tarah?
Viren: Tu sahi keh raha hai Viraat. Par Mannat ka kya? Kal jab woh fir sawal karegi toh kya jawab deinge hum usse.

Viraat turned around and started walking, towards his bed, where he's phone was ringing.

Viraat: Woh hum baad mein dekh leinge Bhai...

With that he answered his phone as he picked it up from his bed.

Viraat: Hello?...(after a pause) Haan thik hai...(after a pause) main abhi nikalta hun.

He hanged up his phone and looked up at Viren.

Viraat: Bhai mujhe zaruri kaam se bahar jaana hai, shaam tak aa jaunga. Aap please Mannat ka khayal rakhna.
Viren: (smiles) Haan thik hai. Par raat hone se pehle aa jaana..tu janta hai na Mannat..
Viraat: (smiles) Haan Bhai, main aaj tak late hua hun jo aaj ho jaunga.
Viren: Haan thik hai, chal.

Viraat walked out of the room, along with Viren, who went towards his room.

Maanvi: I'm sorry Di.

Jeevika looked at Maanvi, who's eyes were filled with tears, with pain, and with guilt.

Jeevika: (wipes her tears/looking at Maanvi) Mannu, tu sorry kyun keh rahi hai.
Maanvi: (crying) Aapke saath jo bhi ho raha hai, sab meri wajha se ho raha hai. Meri hi wajha se aaj aap Jiju se dur ho, Virika apne Papa se dur hai, apne pure parivaar se dur hai. Usse toh yeh bhi nahi pata ki uska humare ilava bhi koi hai iss duniya mein.
Jeevika: (tears rolling down her eyes for her Sister) Mannu..
Maanvi: (trying hard to control her emotions) Nahi Di, kehne do mujhe. Teen saal...Teen saal se chup hun main. Aapne mujhe yeh mehsus hi nahi hone diya ki yeh jo sab hua hai sirf meri wajha se hua hai.
Jeevika: Nahi Mannu..(crying/nodding negatively)
Maanvi: Yahi sach hai Di, aap chahe jitna bhi iss sach se inkaar kareingi, yeh sach badalne nahi wala. Meri hi naadaniyon ki wajah se aaj hum apne pure parivaar se dur hai. Hum apne Pati se dur hai. Shadi shuda hote huye bhi, apne Pati apne Parivaar se dur hai hum. (eyes closed/tears streaming down her cheeks) Aur yeh sab sirf meri wajah se.
Jeevika: (wipes Maanvi's tears/cups her face) Aisa kuch nahi hai Mannu. Khud ko dosh dena band kar, teen saal pehle jo bhi hua usme teri koi galti nahi thi samjhi tu.
Maanvi: (opens her eyes) Sab meri galti thi Di...sab meri galti hai, warna aaj main,,warna aaj main apne pyaar se dur nahi rehti...warna aaj mera baccha mujhse dur nahi rehta. (crying her heart out) Warna aaj, mera aur Viraat ka Baccha iss duniya mein zinda hota, humare paas hota, humare saath hota. Woh apne Mama Papa ko kabhi alag nahi hone deta. (looking at Jeevika) I killed my Baby Di, maine apne Bacche ko maar diya.
Jeevika: (crying/nodding negatively) Nahi Mannu, nahi. Tune apne Bacche ko nahi maara hai.
Maanvi: Yahi sach hai Di. Yeh sach chaha kar bhi jhutlaya nahi jaa sakhta. Maine khud apne haathon se apne Bacche ko maara hai, usse khud se, Viraat se, pure parivaar se dur kiya hai.
Jeevika: Mannu...
Maanvi: (sobbing) Kash...Kash main usse bacha paati Di. Kash...Kash main uss din khud ko sambhal paati toh aaj, aaj mera Baccha meri godh mein khel raha hota. Woh bhi mujhse baat karta, mujhe pyaar karta...Kash Di...(hugs Jeevika)

Jeevika hugged her Sister back tightly, as she was crying uncontrollably.

Jeevika: (in her mind/crying) Mujhe maaf kar de Mannu...main tujhe nahi baata sakhti...nahi bata sakhti...ki tera Baccha..Tera Baccha Zinda Hai.

Mannat walked towards the Mandir and sat down in front of the idol of Goddess Durga.

Mannat: (smiles) Dadi kehti hai aap Maa ho. Chab ki Maa, unki bhi Maa. (pouts) Pal agal aap chab ki Maa ho, toh aapne chab ko do do Maa kyun diya? Aul agal diya bhi, toh mujhe duchli Maa kyun nahi diya? (Vanshika Dadi says that you are a Mother, everyone's Mother. But, if you are everyone's Mother, then why did you gave everyone a second Mom? Even if you did, then why didn't you gave me another Mom as well?)

She hurriedly looked around and then at the idol.

Mannat: (whisperes) Aap kichi ko batana mat, Papa ne mana kiya hai ki main kichi che bhi aiche chawal puchu. (pouts cutely) Main Papa ko chad(sad) nahi kal sakhti na, pal main kya kalun, mujhe bhi Mama chahiye na. Aap toh ho Mama, pal aap toh kuch bolti hi nahi, na mujhe pyaal kalti ho, na mele chaat kehlti ho, na mujhe khaana khilati ho. Duchli Mama toh chahiye hoga na mujhe. Pal Papa gucha kalte hai agal main unche puchti hun ki meli Mama kahan hai. (Please don't tell anyone, Dad has forbidden me from asking such question to anyone. I can't see Dad sad, but what can I do about that, I also want a Mom. You are my Mom, but you don't talk to me, you don't love me, you don't play with me, you don't even feed me. Therefore, I need a second Mom, right? But Dad gets mad at me if I ask him anything about my Mom.)
Vanshika Maa: (smiles) Mannat, aap yahan kya kar rahe ho Beta.

Mannat turned around and looked at Vanshika Maa, worriedly.

Mannat: Dadi, aapne kuch chhuna? (Dadi did you heard anything?)
Vanshika Maa: Nahi, maine kuch nahi sunna, kya baatein ho rahi thi?
Mannat: (wide smile) Kuch nahi Dadi, main toh bach pooja kal lahi thi. (Nothing much Dadi, I was just worshiping.)
Vanshika Maa: Acha, toh humari Mannat ko pooja karna aa gaya?
Mannat: (hits her palm on her forehead) Of ho Dadi, kaichi chawal kalti ho aap bhi. Aap toh looj mujhse kehte ho ki Mannat pooja kalo, Mannat pooja kalo, aaj jab kal lahi hun toh aap chawal puch lahe ho. (Oh God Dadi, what kind of question is this? You always ask me to pray and now when I am praying, you are asking this weird questions.)
Vanshika Maa: (looking up) Hey Bhagwaan kitna bolti hai yeh ladki. (looking at Mannat) Thakti nahi hai bilkul bhi.
Mannat: (hands on her hips) Dadi, Bagwaan ji ko palechan mat kalo, woh gucha ho gaye toh? (smiles) Chalo mujhe khaana do, bhuk lagi hai. Bacchi hun na main abhi. (Dadi, don't irritated God, if he gets angry on us then what will happen? Now com'on lets go and give me some food, I'm hungry. After all I'm just a kid no.)
Vanshika Maa: (laughs at her) Aap bacchi nahi, hum sabki Dadi Maa ho. Chalo ab.
Mannat: (confused) Dadi toh aap ho na Dadi, main kache Dadi Maa bann gayi? (You are my Grandmom, how can I be your Grandma?)
Vanshika Maa: Beta yeh sawal apne Papa ya Bade Papa se puchna ha, woh jawab de deinge.
Mannat: (smiles) Ok.

Virika: (worriedly) Maasi, aapke aankhein inni led led kyun hai? (Maasi, why are your eyes so red?)

Jeevika looked at Maanvi, who was looking very pale, her eyes were blood shot red. Maanvi looked at Virika and gave her a small, fake smile. Jeevika turned her face towards Virika and smiled while answering her question.

Jeevika: Beta, Maasi ko ache se neend nahi aayi na issiliye unki aankhe laal hai.
Virika: Oh, Maasi, aaj aap meli paas so jaana, (smiles) main aapko loli suna kar sula dungi. (Oh, Maasi, today you sleep with me, I will sing lullabies for you so you can sleep peacefully).

Maanvi's eyes filled with tears and she hugged Virika tightly.

Maanvi: I Love You Angel. (smiles/after wiping her tears) Par isski koi zarurat nahi hai.
Virika: (stroking her hair lovingly/smiles) I Love You Too Maasi Maa.

They broke apart as they heard Jeevika's voice.

Jeevika: (smiles) Viri, Beta aapne khana kha liya hai na, com'on apne room mein jaa kar change karlo, Mama abhi aapko sulane aa jayegi ok.
Virika: Ok Mama. Good night Maasi Maa. (kisses her cheek)
Maanvi: (smiles) Good Night Angel.

Virika left, leaving JeeMan alone on the dinning area. Jeevika sat beside Maanvi and stroked her hair lovingly and softly.

Jeevika: Mannu, bas kar, woh saari baatein beet chuki hai. We don't need that in our life anymore.
Maanvi: I know Di we don't, par main kya karun. (her eyes filled with tears yet again) Maine koshish ki woh bhulane ki, bahut koshish ki, par mujhse nahi hua. Maine woh raat bhulane ki koshish ki, maine apna baccha,,(tears rolled down from her eyes) apna baccha bhulane ki koshish ki, par mujhse nahi hua. Main kahin na kahin Virika mein usse dekhne lagi, usse mehsus karne lagi. Aur woh mere dimaag se, mere mann se jaa hi nahi paayi. Maine Viraat ko bhulane ki koshish ki, uske pyaar ko bhulane ki koshish ki yeh soch kar ki ab woh mujhse sirf aur sirf nafrat karta hai. Par nahi hua mujhse Di. Main aaj bhi usse utna hi pyaar karti hun jitna ki pehle karti thi, ya shayad usse bhi kayi zyada. Main apni iss choti si duniya mein khush rehne lagi, aapke saath, Virika ke saath. Par Di, mere dil mein aaj bhi woh dard hai. Maine aapko Jiju se dur kar diya, jab ki isme na hi aapki galti thi, na Jiju ki.
Jeevika: Bas Mannu...hum yahan jab pehli baar aaye the toh humne ek vada kiya tha ki hum apne adeet ko apne aaj mein aane nahi deinge, chahiye kuch bhi ho jaye. Aaj hum yeh vada nahi tod sakhte Mannu. Tu kamzor nahi padh sakhti, tujhe strong banna hoga Mannu, Virika ke liye, woh sirf meri nahi teri bhi Beti hai. Aur uske liye tujhe apni yeh aansun chupane honge. (teary eyes) Mere liye tujhe strong banna hoga, tu janti hai ki mujhe himmat tujhse milti hai, agar tu hi tut jaye gi toh mera kya hoga yeh socha hai tune?
Maanvi: (looking at Jeevika) I'm sorry Di, main fir kabhi aisa nahi karungi.

Jeevika smiled at Maanvi and hugged her tightly.

Vanshika Maa: Arey so jaa meri Dadi Maa.
Mannat: (sounding annoyed)Dadi neendi nahi aalahi.(Dadi, I'm not feeling sleepy)

Vanshika Maa was trying to put Mannat to sleep, but sleep was way to far away from her mind.

Vanshika Maa: Kyun?
Mannat: (saddly) Papa.
Vanshika Maa: Arey Papa aa jaiye ge Mannu..
Mannat: (angrily) Dadi Mannat.
Vanshika Maa: Haan haan Mannat. Chal ab so jaa.
Mannat: (pouts) Mujhe neendi nahi aaye gi jab tak Papa mujhe loli nahi suna dete. (I won't be able to sleep, until Dad sings a lullaby for me.)
Vanshika Maa: (hits her head with her palm) Hey Bhagwaan, kya karun main iss ladki ka. (looking at Mannat) Main abhi aayi, kahin jaana mat.

Mannat smiled as Vanshika Maa left the room. She walked towards Viren's room and knocked on it several times. Finally he opened the door, while rubbing his eyes.

Viren: Kya hua Maa, sab thik hai?
Vanshika Maa: Jab tum dono ki ladli hai kya thik ho sakhta hai.
Viren: (smiles) Kyun? Kya kiya Mannat ne?
Vanshika Maa: So hi nahi rahi hai. Kehti hai jab tak Viraat usse lori nahi sunna deta usse neend hi nahi aati.
Viren: (shocked) Kya? Viraat abhi tak ghar nahi pahocha?
Vanshika Maa: Nahi, lagta hai aaj kuch zyada busy hai.
Viren: Ek mintue Maa, main abhi usse call karta hun.

Viren walked towards his bed, picked up his phone and dial Viraat's number, while walking back towards the door.

Viraat: Hello..Haan Bhai bolo.
Viren: Kahan hai tu?
Viraat: Bhai, main kisi kaam mein phas gaya hun. Kya hua sab thik hai?
Viren: Kahan yaar, yahan Princess ne (looking at Vanshika Maa) sabke naak mein dam kar rakha hai, so hi nahi rahi hai.
Viraat: I know Bhai, woh aise nahi soye gi. Bhai aap please kaise bhi kar ke usse sula dijiye, mujhe ek do ghante aur lag jayein ge.
Viren: Koi nahi tu kaam karle, main kuch karta hun.
Viraat: Thanks Bhai. Bye.
Viren: Bye.

He hanged up the phone and looked up at Vanshika Maa.

Vanshika Maa: Kya hua?
Viren: Usne kaha ki usse aate aate aur der ho jaye gi toh mujhe hi kuch karna hoga Mannat ko sulane ke liye.
Vanshika Maa: Tu kaise sulayega usse, lori aati hai tujhe?
Viren: Main kuch kar lunga Maa, aap jaa kar so jaiye.
Vanshika Maa: Nahi main bhi chalti hun...
Viren: Nahi Maa, aap so jaiye, main janta hun Mannat ne aaj pura din aapko thaka diya hoga, aur kal bhi yahi karegi, aap jaa kar so jaiye.
Vanshika Maa: (smiles) Thik hai, tu sambhal lena.

Viren smiled and Vanshika Maa left towards her room. Viren also left towards Mannat's room and saw her wide awake, looking at him with wide open eyes and smile.

Viren: (smiles/walking towards her) Kya hua Princess abhi tak soyi kyun nahi?
Mannat: Bale Papa, mujhe koi loli chunane wala nahi hai. Aul Papa bhi nahi hai, toh kaiche neendi aayegi? (Bade Papa, theres no one here that could sing lullabies for me. And Papa is also not here, then how will I be able to fall asleep?)
Viren: (smiles/sits beside her) Acha, toh meri Princess ko lori sunna hai. Chalo koi baat nahi., when Viren is here, why to fear?
Mannat: Bale Papa, mele Papa ki line mat chulao. (Bade Papa, don't steal my Dad's dialogue.)
Viren: (holding ears) Oh sorry sorry Mannat ji, galti ho gayi. Hm, aab so jaye?
Mannat: (cutely) Loli? (Lullaby?)
Viren: Haan lori..(smiles nervously) main sunata hun na. Chalo aajao.

Viren laid beside Mannat, and started stroking her hair lovingly. Mannat looked up at Viren, expecting him to sing, but he was just stroking her hair, with his eyes closed.

Mannat: Bale Papa, loli kaun sunaye ga? (Bade Papa, who will sing me the Lullaby?)
Viren: (opens his eyes) OH haan, lori..main..main sunata hun na.,(clearing his throat) Ehmm,,,So jaa..neendiya aaja, meri Princess ko sulaa jaa...(thinking) aagey kya tha..
Mannat: Bale Papa, aicha koi gaana bhi hota hai kya? (Bade Papa, does that kind of song exist in this world?)
Viren: (smiles) Haan haan, hota hai na.
Mannat: Maine toh kabhi nahi chuna. (I haven't heard of it.)
Viren: Haan, toh..(laughs a little) isiliye toh main gaa raha hun. Chalo apni aakhein band karo aur so jao.

Mannat turned her face away from Viren and looked at the clock. Viren continued his singing and patting on her head slowly.

Viraat was driving, worriedly, looking at his watch every mintue.

Viraat: God, ek baj gaye. I hope Bhai ne Mannat ko sula diya hoga. Pata nahi aaj itna late kaise ho gaya.

Finally he reached home. He hurriedly opened the car door, got all his stuff and ran towards the main door of the house. He opened the door and ran inside towards his room, placed all his stuff, freshened up as quick as he can and ran towards Mannat's room. As he entered, Mannat turned her face towards the door and smiled as she saw her Father standing at the door. Viraat looked at Mannat and then at Viren, who was sleeping peacefully on the left side of the bed. He walked towards Mannat and sat beside her, after closing the door.

Viraat: (stocking her hair) Mannat, aap soyi nahi abhi tak?
Mannat: (cutely) Papa, aapko pata hai mujhe loli chunne bina neendi nahi aati. (Papa, you know, I can't sleep with listening to lullabies.)
Viraat: (hugs her) Pata hai mera Baccha. Aur Papa bahut sorry hai, maine aapko bahut wait karwaya na. (looking at her) Par aap jaag kyun rahi ho, Bade Papa ne aapko lori nahi sunai?
Mannat: Chunai thi, pal woh khud cho gaye. (He did, but he fell asleep himself.)
Viraat: (pulling her cheek) Fir aap kyun nahi soyi?
Mannat: (pouts cutely, while nodding negatively) Bale Papa aapki talah nahi loli gaate, woh pata nahi kauncha loli gaa lahe the. Maine kabhi nahi chuna. (Bade Papa cannot sing like you Dad, he was singing some weird lullabies, that I'm unawear of.)
Viraat: I'm so sorry Baby, Papa aaj ke baad aisa kabhi nahi kareinge. (smiles) Ab hum so jaiye?
Mannat: (looking at him with her cute yet big eyes) Loli? (Lullaby?)

Viraat smiled at his cute little daughter and laid beside her, while caressing her hair lovingly.

Viraat: Main aa gaya hun na, toh main hi aapko lori sunaunga. Chalo aankhein band karo.

Mannat closed her eyes with a smile and hugged her Dad tightly.

Viraat: Chaanda ki doli mein...Pariyon ki jholli mein...Shezadi aayi meri (kisses her forehead)...Chaanda ki doli mein, pariyon ki jholi mein, (smiles, looking at Mannat) khushiyan woh layi meri...Palkon ke dar se woh aankhon ke ghar mein rahe, khwaabo ko sach hone de...(thinking about Maanvi) Palkon ke dar se woh aankhon ke ghar mein rahe, khwaabo ko sach hone de...(eyes filled with tears) har ek dua mein usko hi maanga sada, woh bhi mujhe maang le...(wipes his tears with his other hand) Chaanda ki doli mein, pariyon ki jholi mein, shehzadi aayi meri Ho Ho Ho..

Viraat looked down and saw Mannat was smiling in her sleep. She fell asleep within no time. Viraat kissed on her forehead, covered themself and Viren with a duvet, and fell asleep.
