Good one.
But you'll find very few takers here.
Everything is condoned in the name of:

how handsome the male lead is
this is the way things are
oh, this is usual, no big deal
so what, he loves her somewhere deep inside
all women go through this, just suck it up
this is our religion/culture/society
this is the way India/our families truly is/are

...and I am sure there are lots more reasons that will be cooked up.
We are culprits, too.

I cannot question anyone else.
While not in the TRP audience range, I, too watch
the show (not for a month, though) and let the show-makers and the Ekta Kapoors of the world know that this is fare that is acceptable to me.

The change needs to start with me (and you, the individual).

If majority of the members on IF and on this forum are non-TRP audience, and we stop watching and/or posting on this forum, perhaps the PH might get an idea about this?
This forum gives them a lot of feedback.

Where the voice is to be raised is in contacting your channel heads, sponsors of the shows (companies/product owners), representative/MLA/MP, etc.

Nice post.
And a very pertinent point:
She was mocked at, called names, her blood and lineage was questioned, her appearance was being laughed at. She does not deserve it,
I agree completely. Actually, the humiliation speaks volumes about the character and upbringing of the people colluding in the abuse - that it is they who are the bullies and the lowlife. Beneath contempt! Like you say, it matters not a whit whether Tanveer was immoral or evil, or if any of the insults were true in any degree, there is no excuse for such inhumanity.
On another note: the scene was very unconvincing and heavy-handed. Why would Tanveer follow Razia into Imran's house? Tanveer is shown to be smart, and she agrees to meet Imran in park, why not wait for Razia outside Imran's house? Also why would Tanveer just stand there taking all the insults being heaped on her in such a heavy-handed manner? Why not just turn around and leave? Or give back as good as she got? Obviously it was a crucial scene in that because of the humiliation Tanveer decided to marry Asad. The production team should have given it the attention it deserved.
