Chapter#16

When their 30 second kiss broke, Khushi was still at shockand her cheeks were turning from pink to deep red. She couldn't take all of this in at a time. Her eyes were wide and incredulous as she stared at Arnav.

"You what?" She managed to say. He laughed softly.

"I love you." Arnav whispered.

"Huh?" Khushi was still in deep shock. She had wanted to hear these words since a long time and all of this was so unexpected that she couldn't digest it.

"I love you. How many times do you want me to repeat?" Arnav said with a smirk.

Khushi was silent and just kept staring at him. She had no words to say, what would she say in reality? She had always imagined if Arnav really did confess what her reaction would be but at this moment she had forgotten everything. The one thing in her mind was Arnav, the kiss and I love you.

"Khushi I know how I've been, how I have been ignoring you since the very first day I got to know but really at that time I ignored you because others would annoy you and I could see the look on your face every single time, I was just scared. I don't know how to tackle situations like that and I'm also bad at words like this, sweet words." Arnav said sweetly.

He was expecting her to say something but she didn't.

"Khushi? Say something." Arnav shook her shoulder.

"I... I... I just do...n't know what to say. I...Um..." Khushi stammered.

"Do you love me too?" Arnav asked. He knew the answer, he was sure about her feeling but he wanted to hear it from her.

*Knock knock*

"Khushi are you still up? I need to tell you something important." they heard Payal say from the other side of the door.

Khushi got up in panic but Arnav pushed her back on the bed.

"Shhh...she'll come inside and I'll get caught." Arnav whispered.

"Khushii?" Payal called once again. Payal came inside the room from the poolside door to see Khushi because she had a feeling that Arnav was there. Good thing that they were under the blanket and Arnav was on top of her, well not fully but on top of her.

"Khushi?" Payal said standing right next to Khushi's bed. Khushi was about to say something but Arnav covered her mouth. Khushi eyes had widened and Arnav was just enjoying.

When Payal didn't get any response she sighed and left. Khushi was looking through a small gap of the blanket. Arnav was falling for her minute by minute. When they were sure that Payal left Khushi sat up with a jerk.

"What is with your hand and my mouth? You can always tell me to stay quiet." Khushi said irritably.

"I just love how your eyes go round." Arnav said smiling cheekily.

"You should go now. Payal will get to know. If your brainy then she is brainier, she'll figure it out. GO!" Khushi said pushing Arnav off the bed.

"Ha? No. Not until you say the three words." Arnav said folding his arms.

Khushi had forgotten, just for a minute that he had kissed her not once but twice. One does not simply do that but it wasn't just a person it was Arnav. She was going red, again.

"I can see your blush as well as your red nose, Sunshine." Arnav said flicking her nose. "Say it and I'll go. I know you have feelings for me too." Arnav said smirking.

"Yes I do. I love you, okay?" Khushi finally gave up. Arnav wasn't expecting such a straight I-love-you but he heard what he had to.

"I knew it." He smiled and kissed her on her cheek. In a minute he was down the pipe through which he had climbed the second time and in his car just as he had promised her.
