PART 1

The knock in the door jerked me out of my thoughts. I stared at the door wondering if i should open. May be i should let it go whoever it is may think i m asleep and i don't have to show my crying face to anyone. God my eyes go fiery red when i cry and even a baby could guess it .

" its me princess " i heard my father say from the other end of the door

I immediately wiped my face with the tail of my shirt and went to open the door. My father was about to tell something but seeing my face his face reflected guilt.

" have you been crying ? " he asked i could have said a no but then come on he is my father he could guess

" i was just ... " my father moved in and i stopped talking

" i m really sorry princess its all my fault " he said. His eyes filled with regret that he didn't meet mine

"Please don't say that dad i know you love me " i said

" well... " he sat on huge beam bag at the middle of my room that occupied half the space. My room could not be considered one of the luxurious one a teenager would have with Dvds and band posters and what not.

" My mom wants me to talk to you about this " he said moving uncomfortably

Talk to me what? That you both are getting divorced? Let me tell you i m aware of this for past 10 years and i was waiting for you guys to finally start thinking about getting divorce. I mean its better then what i have been undergoing these years.

" we want to live separate " he said

Aren't you already? Since my 8th birthday when this all started and my father moved to another small flat near Park gate. I was like their trophy that will live a week here and the other there. I really didn't understand why they were fighting at young age. Later i realized their marriage had everything but love. Individually they both love me more than any parent could love their kid but that isn't enough. Attending parents-teachers meeting with only one parent and taking turns to celebrate festival with one is not what a kid will want. I love them both but i will love them more if they are together and never fight which makes me spend most of the nights crying why my parents aren't normal.

" princess ? " my father called to get my attention . oh was he telling me something?

" yes daddy ? " i asked in my innocent voice.

" i was telling you that me and your mom may need to take care of many legal things and we both can't keep you with us during that course " he paused to see my expression

What does he mean by not keeping me with them . Why would i interfere this total divorce crap.
" according to court order i m afraid you have to shift with your aunt " he said looking sorry

Who aunt? Why the hell should i live with them ?

" but dad ..."

"I know it's difficult for you princess but you have to agree for our own good. They will take good care of you. It's needed "he told holding my hands and his eyes told me how sorry he is feeling that he had to do this to me. I hate seeing helplessness in my father's eyes.

" where ? when ? and who ? " i asked blankly not wanting my father to dwell more in guilt.

" radha khuranna your mother's cousin " he said

Yeah some cousin who was very close to my mother until she eloped with her love and was abandoned by the family. Mom has mentioned about her a couple of times but I haven't even seen her till now nor talked to her. Practically i have zero knowledge about the Khurannas.

My father literally gave me only 5 hours to pack the essentials as my so called aunt is going to be here at 6 in the morning so that we could catch flight to her place at 10. I wasn't much worried as i have very less things to pack including my clothes , blue bunny , toiletries , some books and well that is all . Taking a quick shower i went down stairs with my two cases and back bag that had essentials like i-pod , scarf , my specs and well chocolate biscuits . i saw my parents both at each end of the room good thing they weren't arguing .

" done princess ? " my father asked with smile and came forward to take my luggage

" yes dad just some clothes " i said shrugging

I grabbed some crisps and sat on my suitcase after making sure that it can handle my weight .

" is she here ? " i asked not in particular to anyone

" will be very soon " my mom said ruffling my hair . i smiled

After about 10 minutes the door bell rang and my mom went to check. ' ohhh ' i heard the typical lady screaming and i just rolled my eyes. I threw the crisps packet and wiped my face and hands with well tip of my shirt.

" oh god she has grown up into beautiful girl " the lady oops my aunty exclaimed . i just faked a smile.

She was in her mid forties and had short hair that reached her shoulders. She was wearing a lose fitting shirt that ended just below her knees and a blue jeans contrary to my mom's typical salwars wow typical modern mother . i like it!.

" hello " i said nodding at her.

" oh preet i think i could have her as my daughter or get her married to my Ranveer " she said pulling my cheeks . just forget i have said she is modern she is like those typical aunties who talk those typical things like marriage , food , beauty etc.

" oh yeah ranveer long time since i saw him how old is he ? " my mom asked

" ah just a couple of years elder to geet " Radha aunty said looking at me . She has a son? Oh none told me and wait a minute why is she looking at me as if she is imagining my wedding with her son.

Next half an hour went with them talking and me watching their faces. My father has already gone as he got a call from his office. If it wasn't for anut's reminder in phone about the flight they would have continued talking.

" bye baby " my mom said . Tears threatenig to fall from her eyes . I could see more of guilt than love.

" i ll be fine mom " i said putting my best brave expression.

" take care " my mom told aunt and she nodded.

The flight journey wasn't as bad as i dreaded . She initiated talks and i was glad to participate. She showed me their family photo. Oww she had three sons i thought only one who she wanted me to get married to lol.

" this is eldest Ranveer Khuranna " she said pointing to a guy who seemed six feet tall he had well built body and i was told he was two years elder to me so probably 20 but he looked a bit older to his age. His eyes shouted arrogance and i m sure he will resemble the hero from TV show.

"This is my second son Maan Khuranna " she said pointing to a guy who was smiling broadly and i bet my lips curved to a smile seeing his face. He had natural charm. His eyebrows were like arc and god how I could miss that dimples. He seemed as same height as Ranveer but looked much younger. He was wearing blue vest that definitely did justice to his body. Damn these khurannas are bliss to girl's eyes.i hope the third isn't like his brother more hotness can't be handled.

" And this is youngest and the naughtiest yash " she said pointing towards a small boy who probably has just entered his teens. He wasn't as well built as his brothers Duh!! He was dressed like ranveer and trying to copy the expression of maan typical younger brother.

" well this is my hubby dearest Mohan khuranna " she said. He must be in early fifties but looked much younger. I could say Ranveer has taken after him while maan resembles mostly his mom. He was staring into aunt's eyes and the love was oozing out. I never get to see a couple like this . In fact i don't remeber any photo where my parents are together. The first thing i may get to see in this strip is may be love a couple.

" are you excited ? " she asked

" umm nervous hope they don't mind me staying with you " i said . Till my stay there i have to rely on My aunt in that male dominated house so its better that i get friendly with her.

"' oh don't worry we always wanted a daughter but never had one so my husband is going to shower all love on you and ranveer can be your guide and yash partner in crime " she said the last one excited may be yash is going to be my first friend. But what about maan . is he gonna hate me then?

" mohan has talked to his friend and you can go to the same college as maan and ranveer . Well ranveer is in final year but maan is of your same age " she said. Oh god new college and new atmosphere how did i forget that?

We heard an announcement saying the flight is gonna land in 5 and i felt really strange not because of the landing thing but meeting the Khurannas .

Khuranna mansion was what you call palace in typical knowledge. Well may be i m exaggerating but damn it was huge . Something i haven't seen in this 18 years of my life.The drive from main gate to the garden was show the sight of huge garden . i have never seen so many flowers together. This place is just rocking. If not anything i m going to fall in love with this place.

" so ready ? " aunt asked rubbing her palms. Definitely not can i meet everyone after a nap? Well i didn't voice out though.

" we are here " aunt shouted as soon as we entered . My jaws dropped down seeing the interior of the house. There was huge stairs in the left that lead to another floor along with elevator beside. To the right there was a huge door that was closed but i could say it was extension of the garden and i bet i saw blue waves god damn they have a pool. I have been in pool only once.The living room was filled with paintings and other antique pieces i bet they are original. I was brought back from drooling the room session by someone clearing their throat.

" like our house already " i heard Mr.Khuranna or should i say my uncle say

" no... i ... i mean " god thats embarrassing

" you don't have to answer anyways " he said laughing . silly me!

" so now the official meeting Geet this is Mohan Khuranna my husband " aunt said and i smiled at them warmly .

" finally i can have a daughter to pamper " he said ruffling my hair . That was so sweet of him to say .

" and this is ranveer " what ? is he already here? Why didn't i notice? He must have witnessed my silly act. I turned to see him but tadda his face was expressionless .

" hey " i said trying to sound cheerful but he just nodded. Oh the badass guy huh.

" last but not least caption naughty Yash " aunt said. Yash was looking at me from top to bottom as if i m some alien.

" yash " aunt said with gritted teeth faking a smile

" do u like movies ? " he asked

" yes " i said looking at aunt who was busy staring at yash

" chess ? "

" yeah "

" cycling? "

" yeah "

" then we can be friends " he forwarded his hands . wow that was easy as i guessed.

" where is maan ? " aunt asked question directed to ranveer but he just shrugged .

" practice mom " yash answered

" this boy never stay in house i should cut down on his pocket money " she mumbled loud enough for us to hear.

" you can meet him later dear anyways ranveer will help you..."

" i can go back to my project then " ranveer said pretending not to hear his mom.

" yash could help you " aunt said glaring at ranveer who seemed least affected.

Fine very first day in this house and One khuranna doesn't want to even acknowledge my presence and the other is missing Great start.i now really wish they had a daughter that must have made things easier for me.

When i turned to yash he was smiling at me ah at least one good thing. I followed him to my room . i didn't get much time to unpack or look around the room but i just crashed on the bed.
