Episode 229 Discussion: 26th March 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.
Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.

Episode 229 Discussion - EOD Summary

Betrayal and Trust is the theme of the day, becomes the common ground for Madhu and Sultan

Events of the episode

Sultan lits up the musical lighter. Music starts and Sultan has Voice flashback of a woman who is talking about their child and what he has to be named. The woman wants him to named Aryan where as Sultan wants to have a hybrid name Jahaan which is the mix of his and her name. The woman asserts name should be Aryan and that the son should be a xerox copy of his father. Sultan thinks of himself as the most dangerous man, but woman, says on the contrary, he is a very soft person.
Sultan walks out dragging himself out...not sure why, his left shoulder is hurt, but he is dragging his whole left-side of the body as if he is paralytic. Aryan follows him out and provides a stick to his father as a walking support. Sultan throws it away and tells Aryan that he is strong. As Aryan starts walking away, Sultan catches hold of him and hugs him. Sweet scene.
Madhu tries to feed Aryan, but Sultan does not trust her, explains that enemies could have contaminated the food items. Sultan tells he that he cannot trust even his shadow. Sultan comes to drink water in the kitchen, Madhu helps him, offers him food. She asks him to freely express feelings by coming out of his selfishness as expressing feelings is being human. Sultan gets angry and defends himself that he is not selfish and that there is a reason why he is so tough on his son. That he does not want his son to get attached with anyone because it hurts when someone you have trusted betrays that trust. Madhu explains that she understands that pain and knows how one cannot let someone so close that their betrayal costs us our life and happiness. Then Madhu recovers and asks Sultan, that this cannot be understood by Aryan who is just a child and that he needs affection to be expressed. Madhu asks Sultan about his wife. Sultan does not answer and leaves the place.

Episode Review

Nothing so great to discuss the episode and write reviews on the same, but episode was good to watch. It was Sultan's episode today...a little bit of him exposed on where he comes from (emotionally).

Seriously wish someone locks him up in a dungeon never to resurface. Imagine what will happen. He will be like RumpelStiltskin of Once Upon a Time. He will need a Regina to cast a curse and a Snow-white's daughter to break the curse and then find his son whom he lost in his greed for Magic. Like RK's drama...is it not ? Losing Madhu to revenge drama and now he will have designs across TimeWarp to weave Curse dramas to get back his Madhu.

One my favorite songs.

Sultan remembers his wife.. So the lighter has some connection with her. And as per her wishes, he is attempting to make Aryan just like him. But he takes it too far with his weight lifting exercises and using Aryan as bait. But I loved that hug.

Kaka tells Madhu that Sultan is Aryan's father.. I think Madhu needed to hear it.. She seems to have forgotten that. And her reaction when Sultan explains his reasons for throwing the milk, she looked shocked that someone would dare to think different to her. And then she feels, a bit guilty. But honestly she does seem to be jumping down his throat lately.

And then Madhu still makes snide comments on there being poison in the food.. I've said it before and I'll say it again. She is too judgmental at times. Madhu is right about Aryan still being a child. An then she goes and asks about Sultan's wife, Aryan's mother.. A bit more sensitivity would have helped get a proper answer from Sultan. But there seems to be a bit of connection there now, some sympathy and empathy for the betrayals Sultan and Madhu have suffered..

RK 🥳 RK I could say it a thousand times!! Welcome back! 🤗 So what if it was less than a minute, even that much is enough. Padmini would have answered Bitooji's questions if only he hadn't said "Chief". And RK keeping tabs on Madhu is just so totally RK.. I had hoped he would improve in his time overseas .. guess not. But then it has been just a day in MB land since he left so ...

Bittooji and Radhaji will soon find out about Sultan, and I'm sure the way things are right now, they'll make comments along the same line that RK made earlier.. Question is, will RK support them this time?

P.S. I think Sultan's shirt didn't have hole for the bullet..

missed the first 5 mins...I read it in the update that Sultan hugged Aryan..that was coming of course...it was a good moment..Sultan may come across as a tough father but he loves Aryan the most and he's his biggest weakness..now he's trying to make Aryan strong but what about him?😵

anyhow doodh wala scene and all Madhu scenes were OTT...Why does she have to lecture again , without trying to know the reason? and why can't she let him speak? if ever they are together, i can imagine Sultan ka kya haal hoga..😔 felt bad for him..isn't it natural to "ask" the person first as to why he threw away the glass? instead of throwing a tantrum "main kya zehar de rahi rahi, lo main pee ke dikhati hoon" 😆 Today i guess the episode belonged to Avinesh alone...he excelled in most of the scenes 👏

they didn't need that RK scene, his image was superimposed...i'm getting this nagging feeling that all hell will break lose once he's back...😆

precap will have Sultan's wife sob story and Madhu taking Sultan to her chwal for HIS safety 🤣 Sultan ka heart 24 carat gold ka hi kyun na ho, Madhu is now an offender for giving shelter to Sultan???😕

i'm too much depressed right now to write a full review, Sultan Madhu paani and khana kha lo scene...just a small mention of "trust" wala scene..I liked Madhu's stand wrt to RK, i never denied it..if HE broke her trust, then SHE is not the one who's wrong so why should SHE lose her trust on others??

i'll be skipping tomorrow's episode..I wish and hope RK is back by thursday...

ETA i feel a disconnect to MB these days, i never admitted it...i'm trying hard but fail to strike a chord with ANY of the characters (including RK but he's my only hope..kuch bhi karke he will bring on something different, original & entertainment) . the screenplay is rushed , most of the time directly lifted from bollywood & clunky 🤢 and WHY do they evade logic? woh bhi in MB land? its disheartening 😭 the same story can be presented in a much better way with good pacing...agree with Shri that they decided to take Madhu to the paatal lok 🤣 if RK was in a ditch..

Stalker not having an iota of sense within him. God !!! Now I will have to see his non-sense now that VD is back. Those three days without fights between the two, no glares and stares was heaven to me. Loha Loha ko kaataa hai...craziness cuts craziness. Just that it needs to be fun and entertainment. Hope, he brings home entertainment to the show that went missing since 6th March.

RK is still worrying about Madhu and he sent Bittuji to enquire on this. Is this an indication of RK going crazy again?😆 .

may be he has a fair idea of what Madhu is doing but wants Radha and Bittuji to know..😕

my guess is that Sultan will be the only level headed person out there...RK land and Malik land mein earthquake aane wala hai ..indications are bad

I get the feeling that Sultan - RK - Bhujang are going to confront each other at the same time ... And I want Malik to enter the scene at the same time 😆 We'll have a proper WW3
