hmm. Today's episode seems to have disappointed nearly all campers on this forum... mainly 'cause of Madhu's interference it seems.
but I don't understand what's so incomprehensible about it. you have to take into perspective what she knows about Aaryan , and sultan ,and then the uncertainty that sultan's disappearance brought about.
She likes the brave little boy who looks up to his father and craves for his attention. and she met him under very strenuous circumstances to say the least. life threatening ones! One of Sultan, his father's own making!
So when kaka comes up to her for help, she would naturally assume its one of those situations which can be debilitating to the little boy's psyche. Besides, she sees how much Aaryan loves his Sultan, can't do without him, despite Sultan's attempts at making him detached and indifferent.
Madhu knows the boy more than Padmini. She has seen him as a helpless kid who needs protection and affection. So ,the concern Madhu has for Aaryan will be more than what Padmini has for him. Besides, mom's are almost always practical when it comes to choosing the safety of their own child. Those are snap decisions , as with padmini, who wants Madhu to keep distance from Aaryan. She may empathize with Aryan, but she does not want her daughter to get involved.
On the other hand, Madhu is young, and conscientious and warm, and affectionate. She cannot let go of the child who has come so close to her. She knows the literal dangers that the kid might have to face. How do you expect her to sleep comfortably while aaryan leaves towards an uncertain destination with potential danger lurking in the shadows.
she also knows that neither kaka, nor Sultan were in control of the situation. In such case, the boy will need her all the more!
There's no way she can sit and cogitate about all the pros and cons of helping a don! there's no time for it!
As for the 'lecture', ... really? I mean, Really!! You don't think the man needs to be told of the impact his escapades with death have on the boy! or that bringing him up like a cold blooded soldier will kill the human in him! will douse his childhood in heart breaking grief and hopelessness!
And the way she said those things were far from sermonizing too! I mean, damn I applaud the line where she tells him to go ahead make Aaryan shoot her so he can do away with his innocence all at once!
fantastic!
Its strange , how people enjoy RK's vicious monologues , his scathing unfounded allegations, and insults for Madhu, on and on , and applaud CV's for their 'creativity' .. But anything more than a coupe of lines from Madhu becomes a lecture.
Strange really, that Rk can keep being a douche.. to Madhu and get appreciation for being 'in character', while she has to deal with ire for being who she really is. She needs to 'draw a line', while Rk can hop, skip and leap on lines all across the board.
PS: oh , and did I forget to mention that shows need 'dramas' and 'extremes' to function? People here cannot watch Radha , or Padmini, when they are making sense, .. I mean , many cannot even take Madhu for long for heaven's sake, and yet, they now wish the CV's had concentrated on Mallik family instead of introducing Sultan. really?! seriously!
Granted this show is not merely about Madhu, but it isn't only about RK too:) ..
