Chapter 33
After some checking out, finally they came to know where Simran was staying. Now it was Rathore's turn to do his part. But before going to meet her, he couldn't stop himself from going to meet Shaina in the interrogation room. When he entered inside, he saw Shaina wiping her tears and desperately trying not to cry. But as soon as Shaina saw Rathore, she hid her tears from him and turned so that Rathore wouldn't see her tears. She immediately wiped her face and when she felt she could face Rathore, she turned and looked at her with a gentle smile.
"You don't need to do this! You can cry as much as you can, though I'd prefer if you didn't cry at all, since we are going to prove your innocence soon!" Rathore said gently.
Shaina looked at him, and the tears were back in her eyes. She tried to be strong, but she was very scared thinking what if they couldn't prove her innocent. She behaved as if she didn't care, but now hearing Rathore's words, she couldn't stopped herself and the tears which she had been trying to hold for so long, were streaming down her eyes again. Rathore automatically went to take her in his arms, trying to reassure her everything would be ok. He patted her back for a long time, till Shaina had no tears and was silent. He finally released her and looked at her swollen eyes and worried face. He couldn't stop himself from thinking that she looked so beautiful even like this. He bent slightly, gave her a peck on her forehead and left her.
Shaina didn't believe that Rathore had treated her so gently after such a long time. She touched her forehead and was happy after a very long time despite everything.
Rathore, however, didn't understand what had happened. Having her in his arms was sounding so natural, and he felt a certain happiness and peace inside of himself. He suddenly knew that Shaina was hiding something from him, he knew that they were more than just related through Riya. He'd wait till after the case for the truth. For now he must concentrate on that Simran. He shivered thinking how he'd be able to act and touch her, when he only felt like beating her and arresting her.
"Here I come Simran!" Rathore said and left the office.
Arjun on his side, had just finished interrogating that cleaning lady, and was now starting on the person who had claimed to see Shaina in Yashveer's room. From Shaina's words, she had been tied up from the start till the end on that bed, then how come that person didn't see that or testify that part.
"So Mr Prem you testified that you saw Shaina in Yashveer's room, right? Can you please elaborate more?" Arjun asked that man, and he noticed a strange anxiety on that man's face and the way he was constantly twisting his fingers in his hands. Arjun right then knew that this Prem was lying or hiding something.
"Well on a monthly basis, during the day, when the rooms are free, I'm supposed to go and check each room to check if all equipment were working and that the rooms were cleaned to the best. That day, I entered Mr Yashveer's room, I had seen him going out, and thus I thought that the room was empty. And even then before entering I had knocked a few times, but when I got no answer I went in for my monthly check. That's when I realized and saw that lady sleeping on the bed. I politely excused myself and went away, though I think she didn't really hear me!" Prem answered back.
"How can you say that the lady sleeping on that bed was Miss Shaina?" Arjun queried further.
"Well I managed to see her face, and who would forget such a lovely face Sir," Prem replied back.
"And you didn't see anything suspicious at all?" Arjun asked since he knew there was something wrong in this story.
"No Sir, apart that I didn't see anything!" Prem replied.
"Ok, you can go, but till this case isn't solved, you cant leave this city!" Arjun said. After Prem had gone, Arjun called Riya to ask her to check about this Mr Prem a bit, his past, his call records and even his bank account. He waited for some time, but Riya didn't answer his calls. He cut the call thinking Riya was busy elsewhere. He called Shree this time, and when Shree answered, he asked Shree to find everything out about this Mr. Prem.
Riya and Shree had been busy checking Yashveer's past, when suddenly her mobile started to ring. Riya looked at the caller's name and decided not to answer. She put her mobile in her bag and let it ring for some more time, till it stopped. Shree looked at Riya with questioning eyes, but Riya ignored Shree and continued her work. He was just going to ask her who it was, when his phone started to ring. He immediately answered back since it was Arjun's sir's call. After listening to Arjun's orders, he cut the call and looked towards Riya sharing with her what Arjun had asked them. Shree wondered if something was wrong between Riya and Arjun, but unfortunately right now wasn't the time to ask such questions. He decided to let it be for the time being, and both started to dig in that Prem's past and present.
After one hour, they had enough information to prove that Prem was lying to them. Shree asked Riya to call Arjun and give him that information, but Riya again said she had something to do and went away. So Shree had to call Arjun and told him, "Sir, just two days ago, Prem received a huge amount of money in his back account! I checked his past, but he didn't receive any heritage or lottery or any bonus!"
"Thanks, at least now we know where to start!" Arjun said and cut the call.
He asked the hotel manager to call Prem back for some further questions…
Meanwhile, Rathore was finally at Simran's hotel. He knocked on the door and waited. After a few minutes, the door was being opened by a Simran clad only in a transparent and sexy nightgown.
A few minutes earlier
Rathore had just reached the hotel, and he had to ask the receptionist if Simran was here, and to announce his visit. He had waited for a few minutes when the receptionist told him that he was being expected in room no102.
Simran couldn't believe that Rathore had come to see her. She was too happy and overconfident, that she never realized that maybe Shaina may have told them the truth. Actually Simran had been waiting out when she saw Shaina being taken into custody by the police. She had followed the police car till they reached the police station. After being sure that Shaina was arrested, she had returned back to sleep a bit. She had cleared everything that could lead the policemen to her. Besides after the pictures she left behind of Yashveer and Shaina's near the dead body, she didn't think anyone would believe Shaina now. So she took out her most sexy nightgown and prepared to welcome Rathore.
"A little more of lies and acting, and then he'd be eating from my hands!" Simran said with a wicked smile.
She waited till she heard the knock and went to open the door flaunting her attributes at him.
