I know the story is going on a tortoise's speed, its 21st part and there had not even been a proper start between our protagonists.
But guys, the story has so much to show, I will like to take it a slow manner, as running it up would destroy the whole feel.

PART 21
Geet was anxious whole day, as suhana was arriving the next day. It had been 3 days snce she told suhana about everything that happened and it second day in her new house or should she say home, a house is just a structure of 4 walls whereas a home is where you feel warmth and protection, and precisely that house is giving her a homely feeling.
Maan was also scared for what will happen tomorrow. He knew suhana, geet's sister would be angry and would like to take geet away from him forever, but he just couldn't let go of her, atleast not now. He knew she will leave a day or another and he was preparing himself for that day but he never thought it will come so soon. He had gotten used to getting up and seeing her face, the first thing in his morning, though today she wasn't there when he woke up.
He remembered how annoyed he was in the morning, when he woke up alone on his bed with not even a sign of geet. She was in her own room now, with her whole bed, whole cupboard, and whole everything precisely, and she was elated to have her own privacy.
He knew this way it will get difficult for him, if he continued to be so possessive for everything, but he couldn't help it with her under the same roof as him. And he could guess, what it will be like if he didn't let go of her now, else later the pain will be unbearable, but on the other side, he just couldn't let go of her in one shot, he needs time for freeing her from him. And he will prepare for that too, he knew what he has to do for that.
Suhana sat beside ishaan, hiding herself in his arms, as geet's words replayed in her ears. She is so scared for her sister; she hadn't seen maan nor knew him, and she just couldn't trust a man with her sister like that. When the people whom she trusted so much could betray her, than trusting someone blindly wasn't possible now.
She hugged him tightly, as she waited for time to pass, so that they could board their midnight train for Mumbai. Ishaan patted her back, as his fingers soothed her long brown hairs.
She will be alright no??? suhana asked ishaan looking in his eyes, as if his single yes was just that mattered at the moment. Ha, our geet is brave, nothing would have even dared to touch her, he said though he himself was scared what had gone through her in the meantime. Though geet had told suhana that she is fine and maan, her husband is taking care of her, but he just couldn't trust her till they see on their own.
Geet, though by relation is his sister in law, yet she is the sister for him he never had. He cared for geet like a brother and wouldn't be able to bear if someone tried to harm her. On the other hand, he is concerned for maan too, he himself being a man knew what it feel like to be getting married and just couldn't imagine how he would have felt after knowing all this.
And that's the matter that scared him most, a man can lose his rationality in situation like this, and he just hope maan had controlled himself and hadn't harmed geet. He was too shocked when suhana told him about geet's marriage and they had immediately planned everything to leave for Mumbai as soon as they can.
They still hadn't talked with ishaan's parents as telling them everything and making them understand would take a lot of time, so they had planned it as a vacation in their eyes so that they could solve the main issue in hand first.
He just hoped that suhana would take everything with calm mind when they reach on geet's new place which she messaged him yesterday; otherwise it would complicate the matter. With a sigh, he pecked suhana's forehead as they stood up for leaving for the station.
Geet served maan his dinner and sat beside him lost in her thought. Maan saw that she hadn't even filled her plate and her eyes were fixed on table, thinking something which he was sure is related to suahna.
Geet he called, after a minute, but she didn't even react. He nudged her shoulder breaking her reverie, she looked at him with forlorn look and said, ek aur chapatti du, and then her eyes fell on his still fill plate. Why you aren't eating, she asked. Everything will be aright geet, he said, his eyes confident to not let anything go wrong.
She looked down and nodded, then said, dii will be angry, and you don't know her anger, she just stop responding to me and would not talk to me for weeks if she is in hurt, she said as she worried about tomorrow. But am sure her anger won't be more than yours, she would sensible not like an idiot like you, he said as he made a morsel of chapatti and brought to her lips.
Geet just refused, knowing suhana would just be a bomb ready to blast tomorrow. Geet, ab bas khao, I don't want any more discussion on this, he said with his stern voice, which sent a shiver down her spine as she opened her mouth to him as he fed her. He just hated to be strict to his wife, but well she is more of a kid for him than a wife in reality.
He then started eating without paying attention to her, while she stood still not doing anything. Ab kya mai tumhe pura khana khilau, he said after a moment, and pointed to her empty plate. She refused quickly and filled her plate and started eating. Kash you would have said yes, his heart wished sadly.
Geet and maan stood on railway station as they waited for suhana's train to arrive. Soon they saw suhana and ishaan coming down from their compartment, as suhana noticed geet, she just hugged her tightly, her eyes filled with tears, as she took her baby sister in her arms.
Ishaan stood beside her and shook hands with maan as they greeted themselves hello. But then the rush made them to break apart and they formally introduced themselves to each other.
As they entered in flat, the first thing suhana asked was to talk in private with geet. Both entered in geet's room closing the door behind them as men proceeded to sit in hall.
As they sat on bed, geet just broke down, all the bottled up feeling, suffocation helplessness came out of her in the form of tears, while suhana took her in her arms, crying herself. All that tension past month and her sister being missing had entered a fear in her heart which came out as she saw her sister all fit and fine.
For may be next fifteen, they just cried assuring themselves that they are ok and together. Suhana cocooned geet in her embrace like a mother as she kept patting her back to stop her sobs though her own tears were flowing uncontrollably.
After few teary moments, they turned little sober to talk as suhana asked in detail each and everything that happened in detail. Geet told her everything from the very day suhana married till now while her tears let loose. She told her about her first week with khuranas, how she tried to tell maan everything, even about the touches on their wedding night and that how maan backed away after she refused. She told her how he used to shout on her and how she was at fault to hurt him every time with one or the other deed. She told how maan decided for this Mumbai shifting and how he helped her in everything from school to shopping to preparation for interview, every small to big thing was told to suhana while geet just prayed suhana won't erupt in anger.
Suhana while on the other side was shocked, she was angry initially on maan for the SR issue as for her geet is just 16, but then she remembered her first night. How she was scared and wanted to run away from ishaan on the very first kiss of his on her skin, she though knew everything about physical relation yet experiencing it is totally different. But ishaan didn't stopped and they consummated the marriage, it wasn't he forced her but he was too charged to back away then and had ensured to relax her too. but then the main thing was they did consummated and she appreciated and felt highly for him that he did backed out, let whatever be the reason, be his anger or ego or anything. But he did not force her or if he would have, geet would have been on his mercy only.
Suhana was a mature and sensible girl, and she could relate to reality and felt sorry for maan. She knew about manly ego and a man's basic needs and his expectations from a marriage, but the way maan helped geet just made him an angel in her eyes. She knew she had to talk with him so that they could sort out the issue and she could ask forgiveness on her family's behalf.
It was may be more than two hours when suhana came out and saw maan and ishaan sitting in hall. The men were silent whole the time not knowing what to say. Ishaan wanted to wait for suhana to say anything to maan while maan was tensed to discuss anything. They just shared normal pleasantries and then became quiet lost in their thoughts.
As they saw suhana, both stood up as suhana said they she wanted to talk to maan now and that too privately and asked ishaan to come too. they moved to his room while maan just thought what she will say.
As they sat in his room, suhana took a long breadth and said, maan ji I know sorry is a very small word for what had happed with you but still I hope you would be able to forgive my family for the pain they caused you and your family. I didn't had a single clue that all this is happening behind my back or we would have stopped it in the right time, please forgive me for that, she said with her head bowed in guilt and shame.
Suhana I won't say its ok, but well what had to happened has happen and we can't reverse the time, so its better we should accept the reality, though his heart still couldn't accept the reality, his voice was firm yet pain could be felt from his words, as his eyes closed tightly for a moment.
Maan ji I am really grateful for what you have done for my sister, I know no other man could have did that what you had done. You are an angel in disguise who had rescued my sister when she was alone and helpless.
Suhana, I am sorry but what I have done isn't for your sister, but its for a girl whom I have married religiously by taking vows and what I am doing is just fulfilling my vows.
But you did that even after knowing that the girl didn't even consider this marriage.
Ha she doesn't consider but I do believe in this marriage and everything is for my own belief.
You know maan ji, when I came here I was angry on you, even knowing that you were unaware about her but still that sisterly heart didn't think of anything then but now after knowing the truth, I respect you. No man would have handled the rejection of his wife on SR, but you did and not only did you give her own space to live. She waited for maan to say something but he just kept quite as if reliving the past.
She again said, but had you thought of future. What will be the future of you two, how will you be able to live like this. She wanted to say directly that she is going to take her sister away, but then it would be too wrong to say that directly.
I assure you that she will have a safe future. I will make sure she gets best education, she pursues the career she wishes and live a life she deserves, he said with a confidence and a promise in his voice which even made suhana wonder is that a real man. How can a man be so selfless, so pure to let go of even his own happiness.
And what about you, your happiness, your life, your dreams, didn't that matter??? Suhana asked.
My happiness is in her happiness, if her dreams got fulfilled, I had attained the goal of my life.
Maan ji, please try to understand, this relationship is not compatible. You both have a ten year difference. Nothing matches in both of you, your thinking your sensibility your likes dislikes, sab alag hai. And most importantly she is a teenager now, wo bachi hai abhi, she doesn't understands the responsibilities of a married woman, wo kabhi bhi apke soch or apki maturity ke barabar nhi aa paegi. She doesn't see you as a partner, but she looks a guardian a protector in you, said suhana in an understanding tone.
Suhana you don't have to worry, I won't bind her with me. Neither I had did that before nor I will in future. Whenever she will want to walk out of this relation in future, I will free her. Her all expectations will be fulfilled and that is my promise.
But what about you, you expectations, don't you wish to have a loving wife, a woman who stands beside you in your happiness and cocoons you in your pains.
No I don't, I don't expect anything from her or from this relation.
Maan ji, do you know not expecting from the other partner is the biggest expectation in this relation. Aap chahe kitna kehlo ki her indifference didn't matters, but one day you yourself will realize that you were expecting her to change that indifference behavior and that realization will be more painful that the pain of letting go, she said with a serious face and this time she wasn't thinking f her sister's happiness but was worried for the man who is ready to let go off everything he owns for a person who doesn't deserve that much love.
Well that will be my problem suahna then, your sister won't be responsible for it nor will I blame her for it. And most importantly if you want me to let go of her, then it won't be now suhana, she had a long life and I want her to be independent. One or the other way every near and dear ones of hers had left her helpless on whom she dependent like a clutch. I don't want her fate to be repeated again and for that I will ensure that she stands on her feet and before that I won't let you guys to take her. She had got admission in the biggest school in country that too on her own and it was a stepping stone for her independency. I won't let her go away from such an opportunity so if yoy guys likes or not but she is nt going anywhere for now, his eyes stern as if threatening them to even try and free her from him and he will fight till his last drop of blood to keep her with him.
But how can that be possible, suhana tried to argue while maan just simply shook his head no.
Suhana if you are worried for her safety, you can take my words. No harm could touch her till I am alive but she isn't going away that's for sure.
Maan ji that much I believe on you that you won't hurt her, but now am worried for you. I am sure that you feel deep for her and if you keep going this way, it will be unbearable for you as the time goes. I am already in the guilt of ruining your present but I can't afford to loose your future too maan ji, said suhana with a tinge of helplessness.
Maan didn't said anything while suhana again said, one last question maan ji, do you love her??
Maan didn't reply again but this time his eyes said eyes. His eyes that glowed with the word itself was a confirmation for her.
She knew he won't let go and she was way too scared for him now. This love would have no reciprocal and she won't be able to bare to see him broken in future.
She took a deep sigh and said, you know maan ji, I always wanted a brother who will take care of us sisters like all brothers do, but I didn't have and thus I have t turn a brother for my sister. But now I just really hoped that god had given me a brother like you, a person so compassionate and selfless is just too pure to see in this present world. I hope you will allow me to see you consider you an elder brother, don't worry it won't change your relation with geet. Its just a feeling I wanted to say and said, don't feel me wrong. i will pray to god to give you the love you deserve, she said as she stood up to go to geet's room leaving men alone.
