Shaadi, Bollywood ishtyle!

One may find the subject of Sooraj Barjatya's new film Vivah quite outdated but Bollywood's tryst with weddings has been quite successful. Quite a few movies have been made of elaborate Indian weddings, and most of them have done very well at the box office.

Even as Vivah becomes a hit, rediff.com takes a look at hit Hindi films that revolved around weddings.

I don't know about you all but I am extremely happy with this news, I loved this movie a lot and was hoping it would be a hit and it is 🤗 and surprisingly rediff.com had given vivah a really bad review they gave it no stars and said it had no script and now here they are announcing the movie is a hit😛 they should have listened to the other reviews from all the other websites and newspapers who declared this movie would be a hit..

wow a movie gets declared a hit in the very first 3 days. It took 3 weeks for box office to decalre Don a hit and JEM a flop. That just goes to show that a good flick is a good flick and the moment it is out, the verdict is clear whether it is a hit or a flop. That is what we were all saying about don and JEM. Neither really impressed and teh former actually trotted towards being a hit because of extraordinary hype.

I completely agree with you Rajan, Don had too much hype around it due to the fact that it was a slick remake (I didn't think so) and plus Shahrukh was in it, that is why more people rushed to the theaters to see it, only to be disappointed. JM was ok I thought it was better than Don I watched them back to back and enjoyed JM way more than Don

with Vivah it was different I took an instant liking to the film heck my older brother who is never a fan of this lovey dovey stuff loved the movie and it's music, he even said he is waiting to see Vivah again, I guess that means another trip to the theater for vivah since the DVD won't be out in another month or so he he 😉
