I think he's overreacting. The scene wasn't really mocking or making fun of the real Manoj Kumar, it was a part of the narrative and there is a context behind it. Had they been seriously disrespectful towards him, for eg - showed him getting thrown out of the theater without any context and just because of his habit of keeping his hand on his face - that would have been disrespectful.

i have no idea.. which film it is.. but yes raj kumar does cover his face with hands when doing emotional scene maine ek movie dekhi bhi thi..

but manoj kumar ka sirf sunnah hi hai.. bollywood shows mein.. warna dekha nahin..

or shayad karta ho..
