Is the show based completely off the book?

even i have read gujrati novel it has tragic end...

but i think they (SLB) said jo daanstan reh gayi thi adhuri wo ab hogi puri..

Ive read halfway through the book, and the story has been adapted from it. The main essence of the story will remain the same, however stuff like Kusum marrying Saras- is all based on TRPs and what the audience wants at the end. You have to remember the novel was written in the 1800's when widow remarriage wasn't common..hence they had Saras marry Kusum. But now, widow remarriage is common. So they will try to fit the novel into the generation today :) The main purpose of this love story is about the trials and tribulations this couple has to go through...which makes their love even more stronger for one another :)

I just hope Kumud marries Saras n we can see romance after there marriage 😳
