KHUSHI is sad but does not let Di tell Nani and all the real reason behind it.La wants to look after lakshmi and fell into goo books of Nani but fell to Mami's trap ASR maybe feels bit upset looking at Khushi's tears she does not let him say anything but herself misunderstands his intentions and pours hot tea on him scalding him and feels very bad. This is between both of them and ASR keeps her secret ( hey DM Is this pyaar gussa itna haseen hai to pyaar kaisa hoga if anger is so sweet then how will their love be😃)

episode 72

a young woman came back home alone, late at night. i remember a bengali movie that centred around this very issue, how a girl's life in a conservative society is affected by something as seemingly trivial as this. a very serious movie it was. here, however things got curioser and curioser. a touch of falling through the rabbit whole entered the scene.

payal was angry. why must her sister go to that awful raizada mansion, and what about that condition of not meeting the miserable mr raizada. but what to do, jiji, replied her mud spattered sister, have to work, and if one's work is in the water, one will meet the crocodile (croc, alligator, which one magar machh?), isn't it.

right in the middle of a tense scene, a new monicker for the one i call asr. huh! so what about that tense music. where is all this going?

payal stalked off in anger. khushi pulled up a table and stood on it. asr looked frantic and gorgeous, sitting in his suv, driving around, looking for the one he'd last seen standing in a dark alley, keechad all over her, refusing to get back into the car, unless he said sorry. Though afraid of dark stood her ground

"soocide, soocide... gaon walo..."

and so it began, the journey into ajeeb.

it started with a fall into icky slush and we came to the main entrance with a fling of hot tea.

but to get here one had to pass through the hazards of "khushi's-believe-it-or-not game arcade" and the shenanigans of "la la land," plus a little bit of "thief of lucknow" trials set by shyam. the terrain was tricky, laughter could have you rolling on the floor and off your course very easily. you wondered where it would all lead, but you clung on for dear life, sensing something big was on its way.

and in episode 75, it came. ah, that moment. but sorry, i am in a frivolous sanka mood too, and shall only divulge all when we reach 75. Sanka Devi effecting you Indi😉

today it's soocide time. and to sweeten death, a pinch of mishri.
i hope dharmendra saw this scene. when sholay was released in the mid seventies, who'd have thought that in the second decade of 2000, more than 35 years later, it would have such resonance with the audience. veeru's "soocide soocide," and "buddi going jail, chakki peesing peesing," empty bottle in hand, atop a tank, drunk, slurring and so very cute became part of our language and shared memory. in it a lightness and froth the years never took away.

writers of ipk, clearly movie buffs, decided to resort to a classic cult scene to start off this super wacky week of ipk. great choice. and really, sanaya was a fabulous veeru. i just wish we had one of those ridiculous asides from the gaonwalo (jiji, buaji, shyam) that went "yeh soocide kya hota hai?" er, what's this soocide? sorry, if you've never seen sholay, the reference wouldn't make sense, but do see this video, might clarify what i mean.

in the mean time, a man who tends to lose his head, but very often realises soon after that what he did was not right and sets out to correct his mistake, is out on the road, getting more and more worried. where is this girl? fikar not, asr. she is right on top of that table, planning your "jail jaaing." imprisonment. what she doesn't know, of course, is that the deed is already done, and your dil is settling only for life term, it's only your dimaag that struggles for freedom, it knows not why.

"jiji nahin muskuraai... toh soocide!"

if jiji doesn't smile, she's going to "soocide" and for her "soocide" only one person will be to blame. you, sir. as she threatened calamity, and her dhanno (the ox, or was it cow?) bua and thakur snake walked into scene, but off camera, a car pulled up smoothly outside in the dark, to come and halt quietly by the gupta's little home. in complete counterpoint to the noise and jollity indoors, a silence, an intensity in this frame. a darkened glass rolled down, a still face turned in the direction of the light, saw the girl framed by the parallel window grills, a bit prison like they, and his eyes said things that no scriptwriter could have written down.


an ocean of yearning in just a second. flowed out and enveloped all. surprising perhaps even the owner of those brown orbs. little did he realise how extremely worried he was. or perhaps even ashamed at his behaviour.

"yeh jo asr hai na, woh bhagwaan mein vishwas nahin karte..." this aspect of asr, his not believing in god really troubles khushi. she genuinely does not get it. for her this is sacrosanct, how can anyone not be part of this idea? yet, interestingly, love will some day make her understand that too, just as it will make him accept that she is just perfect as she is, however different from him that may be.

"gussa toh aise karte hain jaise saans le rahe ho." his anger is really an issue. repeatedly, in the early months this was hinted at. the whole thing is possibly related to his dad in some way too. however, at one point, the writers let this theme go without explanation. pity. right now, we see the return of his nostril flaring gussa. after the initial flooding of relief, again the temper, possibly a weapon to save him from all hurt.

on that pretend hiccup rose the gust of wind. a turmoil, a return yearning filled her insides, her eyes looked around. is he here? is he here? two hearts had a conversation. the owners of the hearts never listened. maybe because the time was not yet right. maybe all love stories go this way, who knows. first an emotion finds itself under cover, outside the five senses, in some meeting of instincts, of hearts, then along the way we pick up the signals. this may sound a bit khushi ott, but if there were no mystery to the rise and claim of this feeling why would we waste centuries pondering it, writing and thinking and cogitating about it, and still remain pretty much mystified?

the curtain flutters, an unguarded innocence in his eyes, the same wanting, camera closes in, i felt he wanted to come close and just inhale her air.

she sees jiji smiling. back to normal... "arree hasi toh fassi." you smile, you're trapped. how that came back to me in 75.

he watches, returns home to anger... the glass rolls up, his eyes still on her. he drives off, she turns almost catching sight of his car. feelings assail her.

khushi had resorted to her favourite tactic to restore calm and peace to her loved ones. clowning around. but when she sat outside, under the stars where her parents watched over her, the hurt of the day couldn't be denied. somehow growing up was taking a toll on this clear eyed 18 year old. she'd met a man who'd made her aware that money has an authority, power in this world. her days of thinking that her little piggy bank could buy her the whole wide world are over. all of us at some point go through this realisation, and just like the many hard realities of this life, it's never easy. her teacher had not even been too kind in his methods, constantly throwing her lack of wealth on her face, calling her a gold digger and worse. but she was a tough cookie, firm in her vishwaas, she would teach that laad governor a lesson herself.

no wilting lily our lissome lovely maid. fiesty, nutty, and full of tricks. and in these matters, quite slippery before conscience too, having quick conversations with dm where she makes it a point to let the eternal know, it's not her fault at all, if someone treats her badly, gotta do something about it.

i kind of like this spirit. no crying and cringing and giving in to fate for madam kkg, she in her own way is willing to take responsibility of her own fate. just that she needs to know dm is with her. again a maker of her life, like the angry young man, sorry magar machh.

next morning, a happy consultation with happyji (a character i rather like, a most interesting and sweet actor we have in him), and she mounts the mishri attack. so sugar in the petrol tank stalls the engine. i learn new things every day. khushi keeps doing not quite above board things this point on and makes excuses for herself as i said earlier. interesting, shyam uses a similar tactic, he is doing terrible things to everyone but he doesn't really mean to. why is it that i am willing to overlook khushi's games but not shyam's?


"hume gaadi se utara tha," you threw me out of the car, with a little moue and a sashay, she gets set to take revenge on asr. and this brings me to the other thing related to her doing wrong things. it's only when it comes to asr that khushi is willing to cross a line and play nasty. is this too a sign of love? ajeeb.

she has another agenda today, teach la the importance of marriage. can't say i agree with the bulldozing of others opinions and thoughts, but well this is kkg in a certain mood and the games are on, no point resisting, just give in and rofl. see you soon with 73 to 77.

EPISODE 75

Love and hate are two sides of the same picture as these both emotions are associated with the deep inner desires for someone who is way too close to your heart.Arnav and Khushi are going through the same phase right now at this stage they both are burning in love with each other immensely and the intensity of this burn is creating havoc desires which looks like hate but that is another shape of acuteness, deepness, ferociousness , strength ,keenness , and agitation of this impulse known as LOVE.

Khushi's respect towards Arnav shows how unintentionally she gives him prominence . She will never complain about Arnav to anyone .She always treasure him for that and especially now when she knows how does he feel and care about her regardless of his rage and animosity.She diverts Naniji 's concern for her as she knows She will not spare him.

Pause here:She never say a word against Arnav no matter how much he hurt her.From Forced marriage to every fight in between them.Poolside fight where Shyam and Anjali comes after their severe fight is one example Love the way you posted

Poolside the place where they met first time when he held her after she saved him from falling and they both marked it as theirs.Today Queen is in King's den ,in her place as fate has written it as their Eternal Heaven."Mehsoos" feeling of each others' presence and pain is getting intense as she knows he is here right behind him and he knows her pain as he is the cause of it.He is apologetic and wants to alleviate her pain "Khushi whoh tum nain..."[Khushi you...] No anger just disconcertion is all over as his voice modulation with discomfiture is speaking volume and with his attritional eyes

Queen is in no mood,"Bas humain aapni aukat keh bare main aur khuch nahin sunna"...[I don't want to hear anything about my status anymore] and turned her face with anger and ire and here she feels a tug in her Dupatta."humara dupatta choriye"[leave my Dupatta] as she assumes he got her Duppata.She is breathing heavily with mixed feelings which changes into rage and as his mind does not work in anger so is hers .While throwing hot tea on Arnav,"aapki himatt kaise huai"[How dare you?]

Pause here: He is not angry.Arnav Singh Raizada is not angry with his Khushi as he 's been through with the same pain as she is .She went through hell because of him,as he threw her out of her home and then her car.He threw her respect in muddy water by throwing money at her first,then throwing her in the list of gold digger,and when all this did not throw a moment of peace at him he literally threw her in muddy slush.When in return she threw some slush at him in the form of juice of embarrassment in her melodious way ,he threw the daggers of his peace of mind by calling her low cheap liar full of deceits .He knows the meaning of those tears which she had shed in these couple of hours which splashed on his heart as hot burning oil with which this hot tea can't even compare.He knows the meaning of each word of her and the reason behind it as she is asking him in these private moments how dare you and how could you play with my dignity and respect like that as her Dupatta is her respect ,her protection which becomes happy when he is around and reminds him of her when she is not around in the form of wavy curtains right here in this sanctuary " the poolside" their "Eternal Heaven"

She gets flustered by knowing her mistake and he asks her in his silence "ab theek hai"[now you ok] after throwing your anger at me.She runs away from there and sees him in deep pain by throwing last hidden look at him which brings her in pain and distress more than ever. I like the way how the other party maintains calm when the other is angry

Pause here: She always gets double pain while playing pranks on him like Swami Track she wakes up all night for taking care of him ,the same way he goes in pain while throwing daggers of his rage on her like he takes care of her during Nanital trip.Always "Hamesha "at numerous occasions.

Anjali's distress put Khushi in deep anguish.Khushi,"buri tarah se jal gaye"[burn badly] .The soreness and affliction of pain could clearly be heard in Khushi's voice after knowing her LaadGovernor's agony which caused by her and left that mark on her heart on her Soul deeply.

A sister's pain vs his soul mate's pain is compared here very well as Anjali is worried about his physical pain but Khushi is getting the heat from his inner turmoil along with that burn mark as this time he diverts Anjali's intention when Khushi was ready to tell herself who is responsible for it."kuch nahin hai Di,choti si chot hai mein handle kar loonga"[Its a small wound I will handle it]...Like he was saying to her if you can handle my given pains I can yours.He relieves his Di as he can't see her in distress because of him at any cost because at this point his Di is everything for him because of his denial state with Khushi.

Pause here:Just like Khushi ,Arnav dignifies Khushi's respect infront of ppl as he did the same when she breaks his fav vase and above all he defended Khushi when ppl were questioning about their marriage.Their fights and sorrows remain in between them.They both can rattle about anything in between each other but putting each others dignity at stake is not their trade.

Khushi comes back to apologize as she can't go against her nature if she is at fault she rectifies it immediately.She can't remain angry with anyone for a long time and here is her LaadGovernor "Humain Bolne tou dijiye"[let me talk]but King is not in a mood.He closed the door on her the same way as she did "humesha keh liye" without listening him .Got the taste of her own medicine.Ouch...

Khushi,"iss dafa ghalati humari hai" [this time I am at fault] They both can feel [mehsoos] each others' pain with this closed door.

Pause here:Anjali'"tumhari bachpan ki aadat hai itni chot lagi hai and muun se uff bhi nahin nikal rahi"[ since childhood you don't say a word no matter how big your wounds are ]Di surely gave a lot of food for Khushi's thoughts to explore more about his Arnavji.

CONNECTION:The door is closed but they both are on either side feeling each other s' distress and condition unlike last time when he was standing outside the closed door as she was not the other side to see or feel his distress as she is the KEY and this time KEY is outside and Arnav is inside and she has the access to open this door and at the top this door does not have a LOCK.The only thing she needs a push of LOVE.👏

Khushi," babuji bhi humain bewaqoof kehte hain ,par hum itne bare bewaqoof hain pata nahin tha"

She knows the pain of "burn" as she got it during Navratari and she were not able to rest over small and He is not saying a word even though he burned badly."Kitna jalah hoga na"[how badly he is feeling that burn without uttering a word]

La does not want Khushi's help as she is thinking this way she will win Naniji's heart and Khushi will be out because this is her international samaseya "KHUSHI" as she is discussing her with pim and pam...

She loses Lakhmiji because of her extra care and Mamiji wants her "Switch off" as she has to think something to save herself because "why fear when Mami is there" .She found the solution by switching the goat and color it white

Khushi,"yeh tou Lakshami nahin hai"[this is not Lakshami] Lavanyaji aagar aapse koi ghalati ho gye hai tou humain bataiyeh"[If something went wrong just tell me]She is selfless soul ready to help no matter what.Mamiji is shallow here.

Khushi wants to rectify La's wrong actions by her good deed as she is determined to find Lakhmiji.She loves and cares with her pure heart.

Symbolism of white and lakshami

White is a mixture of all colors so it takes all the emotions.It also associated with light, purity,and truth,simplicity,innocence ,marriage in western culture, cold in eastern culture .

Lakshami A Mother of Goddess: The female energy of the Supreme Being. She is the goddess of prosperity, wealth, purity, generosity, and the embodiment of beauty, grace and charm.

Connection:Khushi will find Lakhmiji as she emotionally attached to it and loves it unconditionally as she is a pure heart.Her lie comes from the her pure heart to alleviate the tension but Naniji knows her and she will regard her more in her heart.She helps La unconditionally which in return changes her towards Khushi because of her purity and simplicity.

AND khushi is Lakshami all along.

Pause here:Naniji sees her in Khushi as Nani herself is same as her very forgiving and chulbuli as "khushi,"aap tou nachiti ho" during Holi and Nani forgives Garima [even though her daughter died] so easily and hugged Khushi in remarriage

Naniji's concerns for her Lakhmiji are so natural as she is mother and it symbolizes how someone who is close to heart becomes a part of you thenits hard to let go of the someone and that person is no other than Khushi.

Khushi comes to rectify her actions which has caused for her Arnavji her protector her Rakshus her laadGovernor a deep pain which is so excruciating for her that she can't breath without see him in relief.He looks at her,"Tum yahan kia karne ayei ho"[ why did you come here] words are not with khushi who has answer for everything and was not gone unnoticed by him .Before she could speak her tears tore him apart as his anger washed away with these tears.Khushi,"Who hum aapko jalana nahin chahte thai humnain aaj tak kissi ko bhi nahin jalaea"[I did not want to burn you as I never burned anyone before.It seems like she is saying"I never meant to hurt you that much" as she saw his pain just couple of hours ago when he was delivering his complaints in rage holding her hand and she also witnessed that he never wanted to degrade her in front of others as he did not let her disclose the reason of his burns.

Pause here:It seems she is saying she never want to make him go through with this burning sensation by leaving him to lukhnow or by not listening him during resignation or during Teej and all that.

Khushi while crying bitterly,"woh humain laga tha apnain humara Dupatta pakra tha"[I thought you caught my Duppata]Like she is telling him I thought you are deliberately disrespecting me as her Duppata is her respect meaning Her.

Arnav asks with bafflement and innocently,"tou kia pakrna chahiye tha"[Should I have to catch your Dupatta,]like he is asking and seeking her permission to move forward for her to make her his.

Bitter batter is on...

Khushi,"Hum nain hi apki ghari mein Mishari ki goli dali thi aur apke shoes mein juiceee"

Khushi innocently and cutely,"woh sangtare ka nahin mila na iss liyeh"[because i did not get orange juice thats why]

Arnav just literally smiled at her innocent answer.Yummilicious smile!Seriously people this haircut and this beauty never came back the same way.Loved him in this haircut. 👏👏

She bitterly cried for her every action and he smiled at her chastity and purity.ASR completely dived in this river of innocent adorableness and artistry of her today as she soothed his pain out for everything she did and for every pain she caused by saying "Sorry"

He offered her tissues and our Sanka Devi just used her multipurpose Dupatta which he wants to hold.How can he hold it like that parmeshwari. He felt icky with this strange act.He is right UNBELIEVABLE!!!Khushi Kumari Gupta...
