While I do agree that Armaan has been a careless chairman who has made some wrong decisions and needs to get his priorities straight, I by no means think Aryan would make a good chairman. It's easy to criticize the chairman and what he's doing (as Aryan loves to do) but once you actually are in the chairman's seat, the job is not so easy. Aryan would lead to disaster in his own way b/c he obviously doesn't like the Suris, so he would always scheme on how to keep Gulmohar away from them. I wouldn't be surprised if Gulmohar would get split into 2 if he was chairman (the Suri's part and the Sate's part).
Purushotam started the company and it only fits that his son should run it, be it as it may that he is careless and inexperienced. However, we have seen examples of Armaan's hard work--i.e. when the computers were down and he helped Jassi with the manual calculations. He just needs time--I mean, I'm sure Purushotam made mistakes when he first started too--it's all about gaining knowledge and experience as you go through life
