Chapter Two

It was Swayam was sitting in the living room of his home, desperately waiting for his dear sister's arrival. "Kitni der ho gayi, ab tak kaise nahi pohochi Taani? Phone karke dekhta hoon... Lekin abhi panch minute pahele toh phone kiya that. Swayam, Taani aati hi hogi."

The doorbell rang. Swayam ran to the door. He opened the door, only to find his friends. "Oh! It's you, guys." He said, disheartened.

"Kyun? Kisi aur ko expect kar raha tha kya?" Rey asked him. "Ya, who Taani aane waali thi, na." Swayam replied. "Abhi panch minute pehle maine use phone kiya tha, tab woh station pet hi Ab tak nahi aayi!'

Rey rolled his eyes. "Swayam, Tujhe pata hai ki station se yaha aane ke liye atleast 20 minutes lagte hai. Aur teri yeh Taani koi choti bachchi to hai nahi ki kahi gum ho jayegi." This calmed Swayam down. "Ya! You are right. Chal."

They went and sat down on the sofa with everybody. They had gathered round for discussing the Holi plans but just started talking about random things. Five minutes later, Swayam said, "He Krishnaji! Taani abtak nahi aayi. Pata nahi kaha hogi meri behen. Phone karke dekhta hoon."

Swayam was about to call Taani but Vicky stopped him. "Swayam tu pagal ho gaya hai kya? Abhi 10 minutes pehle tune phone kiya tha tab woh station pe thi. Aa jaegi, tu kyun tense ho raha hai."

"Vicky is right." said Sharon. "Itna tense hone ki jaroorat nahi hai. Aur waise bhi agar woh 10 minutes pehle station pet hi toh abhi 10-15 minutes mein aa jaegi."

"Hume Swayam ko distract karna padega, warna woh puri der Taani ke wajah se tense hota rahega." Simmi whispered to Nilesh. "Ya, you are right." Nilesh whispered back. Then he said aloud, "Ok, ab hum apne Holi ke plans ke baare mein bhi kuch discuss karne wale hai ya nahi?"

"Ofcourse, karne wale hai na. Isi ke liye toh mile hai." Rey said. The doorbell rang again. Swayam looked at the door with surprise. He once again ran to the door and pulled it open. A young girl of about their age was standing in the door, smiling widely at Swayam.

"Taani!" he exclaimed. "Bhai! Kitni dino baad mil rahi hoon aapse!" Taani cried out, running towards Swayam and hugging him tightly.

Sharon saw Rey staring at Taani with a surprised expression, but said nothing as she herself was a bit amazed at how different Taani and Swayam were, and yet they seemed to be the perfect brother and sister.

"Main kabse wait kar raha tha. Kaha thi tum?" Swayam asked him. "Kahan thi? Bhai, abhi abhi Jodhpur se aayi hoon. Itni Jaldi kahan jaungi? Pehle mere Bhai se milungi aur phir baki Mumbai ka turn." Taani replied, excited.

Neha giggled at this dialogue of Taani. This diverted Taani's attention towards the gang sitting in the living room. "Bhai, yeh aapke college ke friends hai na?" she asked her Bhai. He nodded. Taani continued, "To yaha par khade-khade mera muh kya dekh rahe ho? Chalo!" Saying so, she literally dragged Swayam towards the gang. "Whoa! Taani, jara aaram se!"

"Bhai…" Taani said, "…yeh sab aapke college ke friends hai na? Main aap sab se milne ke liye kitni excited thi! Waise toh aap logoko abtak pata chal hi gaya hoga, lekin phir bhi, Hi, I'm Taani." She said waving her hand towards them. She continued to Swayam, "Bhai, aap introduction karaiye na! Bataiye inmese kaun Simmi hai, kaun Nilesh, Vicky, Neha, Aashi, Bharat, Rinni, Amar aur most important, Sharon Bhabhi kaun hai?" The gang yelled, "What!" Sharon stood up and shouted.

Sharon : Sharon Bhabhi? How dare you call me Bhabhi?

Taani : Haan, Bhabhi. Bhai ne jabse aapko mention kiya hai tabse aapko Bhabhi hi bulati hoon. Bhai ko pata hai aur unhe koi problem bhi nahi hai.

Sharon : Swayam tumhe pata tha?

Sharon looked daggers at Swayam, but her expression soon turned into an amused one as she saw Swayam trying to look as innocent and surprised as he possibly could. Sharon said calmly, "Okay, Taani, better call me Sharon. Can you please?" Taani replied, giving Sharon a smile, "No Problem!"

Then Swayam introduced Taani to everyone, pointing to everyone as he said their names. "So this is Simmi, Nilesh, Vicky, Neha, Aashi, Bharat, Rinni, Amar, and Reyaansh, ya Rey." Taani quickly said, "Reyaansh, kitna lamba naam hai. Isi liye aapko sab Rey bulate hai na?"

Simmi asked her, "Taani, tum hum sab ke baare mein kaise jaanti ho?" Taani replied, "Actually, woh kya hai ki Bhai jab bhi phone pe baat karte the tab aap sab ko jaroor mention karte the. Bhai…" she said turning to Swayam, "… apne inhe kuch offer to kiya hi nahi hoga. Main coffee lekar aati hoon."

Swayam went behind her, saying, "Taani, kya kar rahi ho? Abhi toh aayi ho na? Phir yeh sab kyun?" "Bhai, aap kuch mat boliye, bas jaake wahan bahar baith jaiye. Main coofee lati hoon."

The gang's conversations and chatter continued quite late and would have continued longer if Amar had not noticed the time.

"Guys, time dekho! Hume bahot del ho gayi. Hume nikalna chahiye!" "Ya, you are right. Swayam, chal hum nikalte hai." Vicky agreed. "Ya, of course." Swayam said. "Kal college mein milte hain. Aur kal hamare saath Taani bhi hogi!" Nilesh said, "Okay, bye. Chal Simmi, tujhe ghar drop kar deta hoon." "Okay!" Simmi said, happily."

Now, guys, unless you are an exceptionally careful reader, inspecting every letter and word, you might have not noticed that there isn't a single dialogue of Rey in this chapter, after Taani's arrival. So guess the reason! Next update, very soon!
