Hey guys I'm sorry about the long wait as you all know my wrist is fractured. My wrist is not better and I probably will not be on IF for two to three months because it has not healed yet, but I wanted to put up the remaining chapters and finish off this FF. I know in the last update I said there were 5 parts left but due to my wrist and other things this FF will end quicker than that. There are only two updates left after this chapter. I'm sorry that I won't be able to comment on replies and I do hope you do reply and leave your comments. Also one last thing, I'm sorry that the remaining chapters will be short and rushed but due to my wrist this is the best I can do. Enjoy!

Chapter 13: Beauty and the Beat/ Set Fire to the Rain/ Forever/ Love Story

It was finally the day that everyone had been waiting for, the dance offs were here. The entire gang was ready for the day, as nervous and they were they were more excited to finally be able to perform. They were all in the dressing room getting ready when Rey had pulled Taani out of the girl's locker room.

Rey had brought them to the fire exit and Taani instantly started saying, "Rey what are you doing? We have to get ready, our performance is in an hour!"

"Sh," Rey said silencing her with his lips, something that he had gotten used to doing. Taani lost herself in the kiss and was in a daze when Rey pulled away. "I love you Taani." Rey said leaning his forehead against hers.

"I love you too." Taani said smiling.

"I want you to know that today is possible because of you." Rey said making Taani scrunch her nose up in confusion. Rey laughed and said, "The gang wanted to say this to you and throw you a party but I told them that it would be too much. My Taani is selfless, she always put others before herself and you did that, you put the gang before yourself. You agreed to dance even though you didn't have to, and it is because of you we have a sixth dancer, and we got in from the auditions and got this far." Rey said before Taani cut him off putting her hand over his mouth.

"Rey it's because of us that we got this far. All of us put in the effort and the hard work." Taani said smiling. "I love dance, and it is you that brought me close to my passion and made me love it again." Taani smiled.

Rey kissed her palm that was covering his mouth and pulled her hand down, "You brought me closer to mine as well," Rey said talking about his singing.

"We are going to be amazing tonight, and regardless of what happens we're winners because we have each other and our entire gang with us." Taani said as Rey agreed.

Rey leaned in but before he could kiss her his phone went off, softly cursing he saw it was Swayam who was calling. "Your brother just loves being the kabab mein haddi in my romance." He said making Taani giggle as he listened to Swayam saying that they were being called to perform.

The entire gang had gotten to the Dance Off arena in twenty minutes. They were up for dancing and they all gave each other nervous and reassuring looks as they took their place on stage while the curtains were closed. The curtains opened as the host announced, "And here's a St. Louis college with a love story that steal your hearts."

The gang got together as they made their form on stage. Rey stood at the right end of the stage as Taani stood a little closer to the center but across from Rey at the left side. Taani had a white dress on and Rey has white pants and a transparent white shirt. The gang was in the middle, as Swayam, Sid, Neha, Rini, and Nil wore blue symbolizing one college and Sharon, Vicky, Simi, Amar, and Aashi wore red representing another. The rival colleges were standing in a dance posture that showed their fight.

The auditorium grew quiet as the lights flickered off and the one light centered on the gang standing in the middle. "This is a story of two lovers, two lovers that could have united if it hadn't been for us, if it hadn't been for hate." Swayam said as a gust of wind blew and the light focused on Taani giving the gang time to leave and prepare for the next part of their dance.

Their songs started with Taani's singing of Taylor Swift "We were both young when I first saw you I close my eyes and the flashback starts I'm standing there'" Taani speaks looking out towards the right of the stage, "Rey," she says as she spun in a clean turn and held out her hands looking into the distance.

Wind chimes blow as the light focuses on the entire stage with Taani's college standing behind her and Rey's college standing behind him as they coordinate their dance to Sid's singing of Beauty and the Beat. "Show you off, tonight I wanna show you off" The song starts as Taani and Rey looked at each other across the stage. With lean movements they walk to each other to the center stage as they dance to the song, romantic hip hop as they look into each other's eyes and then coordinating their dance with the rest of the gang that is behind them. "Cause all I need is a beauty and a beat who can make my life complete." Rey and Taani come together as their movements match.

"When the music makes you move baby do it like you do." The song ends as the two rival colleges come up to Taani and Rey, Swayam pulls Taani and Sharon pulls Rey tearing them apart as they realize who they are. Music from the song continues for a few seconds as Rey says, "We can never be together."

The scene shifts as Akansha's voice for Adele's Set Fire to the Rain comes on. Taani and Rey are standing in the middle of the stage, as the group is surrounding them.

I let it fall my heart, and as it fell you rose to claim it.

Taani had a tear stained face on as their contemporary section started. It was dark and I was over until you kissed my lips and you saved me.

Rey held Taani's head in his hands as Taani pushed him away. The both continued their flawless routine.

My hands they were strong but my knees were far too weak, to stand in your arms without falling to your knees.

Taani kicked her legs out as she dropped to the ground. Rey gripped her arms and pulled her as her legs were pointed to the left, spinning her in a lift.

I set fire to the rain, watched it pour as I touched your face. Well it burned while I cried cause I heard it screaming out your name your name.

Rey and Taani continued their contemporary piece as they spun dropping to the stage sliding into opposite sides of the stage.

The two rival gangs separated TaaRey again as both Rey and Taani simultaneously fell to the group crying while the gang danced around them. Through their dance, the gang and TaaRey showed the crowd how the two rival colleges were separating the lovers, letting their hate and pride get in between true love.

"I can't live without her." Rey said into as Taani said at the same time, "I can't live without him." Looking at their respective gangs as they both moved out of the circle they were encaged in running towards each other.

The music changed again as the gang disappeared into the background as Rey's cover of Forever starts playing.

Taani and Rey came into place together, having their arms around each other as they swayed giving the gang time to come out and stand behind them. They unlocked their arms from each other and started dancing.

Taani and Rey dance hand in hand as they move to the beat.

Rey spins Taani into him as they continue their lyrical hip hop. The gang joined them in sync only differentiating in their steps if Rey had pulled Taani into a lift.

They continue their lyrical hip hop, as they turn to each other and smile. Both Taani and Rey were popping to the song, and then they singled into their tutting section. Through this part of their dance Taani and Rey were showing the crowd that their love story had strengthened, and that they were going to fight against the hate that their colleges had for each other. All they cared about was each other and they were going to fight for their love.

"We'll do this right Taani, they will be happy for us. And we will be together forever, I will come back to marry you."

At the end of that song, Taani and Rey went back to their original positions and the gang was together, signifying the fact that they were in the present, as Taani's cover of Love Story plays.

I got tired of waiting, wondering if you were ever going to show. My faith in you was fading when I met in the outskirts of town.

Taani ran across stage and as Rey spun around until Taani reached Rey and Rey's arms held her waist as he sat back and Taani leaned in a 45 degrees angle as Rey lifted her. Rey quickly dropped her as they both rolled and Rey flipped Taani over his shoulder, both of them moving to opposite sides of the stage again.

And I said romeo save me I've been feeling so alone. I keep waiting for you but you never come. Is this in my head I don't know what to think. He kneeled to the ground and pulled out a ring.

Taani ran to Rey and jumped as he lifted her up into a beautiful lift. He brought her down slightly as she twisted her legs in front of his waist as he spun her around.

The gang comes out spinning and jumping in lifts, as the music continued.

And said marry me Juliet, you never have to be alone. I love you and that's all I really know. I talked to your dad go pick out a white dress. It's a love story baby just say yes."

The two rival colleges united as they danced around Taani and Rey who were embraced in a hug. Rey pulled Taani into a hug and lifted her up spinning again, bringing her down as the song ended as they both remained embraced in the hug.

Oh, oh, oh, oh. Cause we were both young when I first saw you.

The gang forms a position opposite to how they started, they stand smiling and united as Rey and Taani do their last lift leaving Rey dipping Taani at the end.

"I love you." TaaRey said at the end.

The crowd erupted in applause.

The two judges had gotten up in a standing ovation. "Wow," the first judge spoke, "I didn't think that after the auditions you can do anything better. But this blew my mind." She said but was interrupted by Taani.

"Ma'am before anything else we have to thank our entire music department, especially Kajal and Payal who gave us this music and Akansha for singing for us as well." Taani said appreciating her friends.

The judge smiled and said, "I've never seen one college combine their talents to produce such an amazing act, for me this was the best act of the night." She said making the gang smile.

The second judge didn't say anything, he got up and applauded, "I'm speechless." He said making the gang smile and hug as the crowd applauded them.

The night was coming to an end and all of the colleges had performed. The host was finally announcing the winning college. "After a long night of mind blowing performances only one college will take home this trophy and the title as the best dance team in the nation."

The gang held hands as they anticipated the announcement. "And the winning team is, St. Louis College!" the host yelled as the gang broke out into screams and laughter. They jumped and danced and enjoyed being the winners as they ran up to the stage getting their trophy. Happiness was all around them as all of the friends hugged each other.

They all smiled at each other, appreciating the fact that they had formed not just a gang, but a gang of friends that would be there for each other through every up and down in life. Not just dancers but singers and musicians, everyone was part of making this night special and Taani and Rey looked around as they saw all of their friends and realized that the bond that they had formed would never go away.

Taani and Rey looked at each other smiling, they had learned to become one and in turn allowed their friends to become one as well. Rey took Taani's hand in his and in a silent promise both of them vowed to face whatever the future threw at them together.
