It dawned on me today as I was watching this week's episodes in one batch (as I work and don't get time to watch on a daily basis) that Asad again was harping on about Zoya not being fit for any family to Tanveer and obviously he is stil misguided and prejudice against her ways and personality.
But what our lovable arrogant hero Asad Ahmed Khan fails to realise is that he had a pretty sensuos romantic rainy night with Miss Farooqi and whilst she was still intoxicated and clearly feeling the 'love' vibe from Jahaanpana Six Pack whilst beautifully lip synching to 'Bol Na Halke' not once did she give into his advances for a kiss or anything more intimate.
Instead it was Miss Farooqi who was shyly and coyly stepping back from him and I think that pretty much speaks volumes for her morals, tehzeeb, ada, sharaam, hayaa and everything else that AAK thinks she lacks simply because she dresses western, thinks western and is raised western.
Off course as viewers and fans we love both characters and are aware that they both have their qualities as well as bad traits but like I said it dawned on me how beautifully Zoya portrayed her innocence.
It's a shame that Mr Khan hasn't yet realised this or properly recall the evening.
But nevertheless it's a treat to watch this journey unfold, and being a fan of previous 4 Lions productions and knowing how in the end it all works out not matter what it's a joy to sit back and watch the story unfold.
On a side note, I know some have mentioned this before but I think it's a dead cert that Zoya is the daughter or Ayaan's Mammoo, I forget his name but I'm sure when he was signing the papers he signed then Farooq something. So maybe Zoya's mum took on the surname Farooqi????
And I also think that the house keeper 'billo' is aware of the antics of Tanveer therefore has that somewhat sad expression every time Zoya gets blamed for something, I reckon if it is revealed that Tanveer is the actual Billo Rani then the housekeeper 'billo' will speak up and defend Zoya when the time comes no doubt to Asad.
Anyway's that's my two cents worth
