Here is the interpretation to part 8.
Hearing Arnav's apology, tears pooled in Khushi's eyes. Pulling her hand out of his she tried to jump from her perch on the table. Asking her to hold on, he caught her by the waist and made her slide against his body. Even when her feet touched the floor, his hands remained on her waist and held her close to him. Looking at her face he asked her to go back to RM. But Khushi refused. Stepping away from him, she asked why he redeemed the bangle from the pawn shop, when she hadn't asked him for that favor. Her query had him squirm and to cover it up, pretending to be angry he told her that she could ask all that she wants but he was not obligated to answer any. Saying this he turned and walked away before she could insist on getting an answer which he himself was not aware of.
When Khushi returned home she had kept the bangle and her payal wrapped in paper inside her bag. She knew that she had to hide it or else she didn't have anything to reply if questioned by her Amma and Buaji.
What could she say when asked why was it with her, who had returned it, who were Amezing Developers, why was he insisting Khushi return to RM when her job there was done with.
She was unable to reply as she herself held no answer within her. Could she tell them that the problem lay with her Dhak, Dhak and acidity when he was close by? That she felt butterflies in her stomach when he looked at her? That his smile made her feels that it was a gateway to heaven. That his touch... Unable to continue with her thoughts as she was overwhelmed by just by recalling the sensation that his touch sprouted in her, Khushi buried her face in his coat.
Seeing her with a coat, Payal asked her as to where she got that coat from. This broke into her reverie. Though unnerved at being caught out, she just told Payal that when she got wet he had given it to her to wear. Payal assumed the 'he' in her sister's answer to be Munshiji and said that it was extremely kind of him to do so. Payal who was folding the dried duppatas and placing them in the cupboard, did not see Khushi's face. Khushi was one relieved girl! Payal instructed her to wash it and return at the earliest. Khushi agreed to abide with a murmur and pulled the coat closer to her heart.
Arnav who was working stared at his laptop screen, his mind pondering over what he had seen and felt in her room. She had kept his coat under her pillow, her heart raced when he went near her, then why couldn't she come back to RM, come back to him? Already he had apologized for causing pain. Returned her payal and bangle, but still why was she trying to go away from him. He knew that she would try everything to maintain her self-respect, dignity and be worthy in her eyes. He knew she would never compromise on these principles of hers. Knowing her, he knew she would make every effort to shift out of Laxmi Nagar. But where would she go? Would it be another locality? If so he would have to buy that house too. He thought it was best to find out about it earlier and called her.
Khushi who realized from the display on her phone that it was Arnav who was calling her with a heart that was beating like that of a race horse received the call. Without any preamble Arnav spoke what was uppermost on his mind! He asked when they would be vacating the house. The minute he uttered he realized what a blunder he had committed. In his anxiety to find out how much time he had to woo her he had made it sound that ousting her from his house was his top priority. Bitterly she told him that they would vacate by the end of the month. Arnav swallowing the lump caused due to his folly asked her whether they had found another house. Khushi replied that they don't need another house as they would be returning to Lucknow at the end of the month. At that time Buaji called Khushi reminding her of the time to give medicines to her father. Answering her Buaji that she would soon be there, she spoke to Arnav that she'll have to disconnect. Arnav's call, Khushi, stopped her from cutting the call. He asked her how could she go to Lucknow? How could she leave her job? With a frown furrowed on her forehead, Khushi told him that she was not the only person in Delhi who was capable of using Excel program! He persisted by asking what about her coworkers? When she heard the question she was perplexed as to whom he was referring to and she voiced out that there was only one with her and that was the elderly Munshiji. Arnav who wouldn't let go any chance after the faux pas he committed, he asked how can you leave him alone? Khushi who was tired of his line of questioning and argument told him that Munshiji had been working in that office even before she was born and she was sure he was capable of managing even after she had gone! Buaji who always called Khushi as butterfly as she was quick in her movements and would soon flit from one thing to another spoke aloud that has she like a butterfly flown out through the window. Saying that she needed to go, she cut the call. Arnav was shell shocked! With the dead phone in his hand he was blankly staring at the wall. She was leaving to Lucknow! How could she? He felt bile rise in his throat! He was so panic struck that he felt all avenues had closed.
What was the step he should take next was foremost in his thoughts. His thoughts were running amok. Was carrying her off from her house or making her pawn her jewellery an option in front of him? Decided against it he realized he was running against time. Unable to decide what he needed to do to keep her beside him, he felt his chest hurt. Sitting with a head hung low, pale faced, clenched fist, his brain started to tick vigorously to devise a fool proof plan this time to stop her from going away from him.
While he was planning he heard a knock on his door followed by a call Bhai. He was so engrossed in his thought that he felt it came from far away. He somehow managed to make a sound. Akash who had knocked at his door entered his room and sought some time to talk. With his mind still dwelling on Khushi and she leaving to Lucknow, he agreed to Akash's request. When Akash just said he needed and paused, Arnav without even listening said that sure he could take whatever he wanted. Akash continued to say he wanted to get married. Arnav who was in his own world told him absentmindedly that he could take it without having to ask and suddenly Akash's words penetrated his thoughts and asked what staring at him. A blushing Akash couldn't talk other than utter Bhai. Arnav who was stunned asked him whether he had heard correct as to Akash wanted to marry, Akash blushed and affirmed. Arnav comforted him saying that if that is what he wants then it's alright, but what was the problem? Akash told him that his mother would not agree because the girl is not very well off. Arnav assured him that those were not really problems that couldn't be ironed out. He asked Akash whether he was sure that she was the girl meant for him. When Akash's face took to a hue of the beet, Arnav promised that he would speak to Mami and fix the alliance, without enquiring who the lucky girl was. A relieved Akash again sought assurance from him. Relieved that when his brother says that he would look into things it meant it was a done deal, he hugged Arnav for the favour and thanked him profusely. Arnav who was not used to demonstrative emotions hugged him back awkwardly. Finally Arnav realized he did not know the girl and he asked Akash as to who the lucky girl was. When he was told that he knew her, it brought in a frown. Akash continued to say whether Arnav remembered Khushi who had come to train Lavanya Kashyap? Hearing this, Arnav was lost. He whispered whether Akash wanted to marry Khushi? His legs gave away and he slumped on his bed. It seemed it was a day filled with nightmares for him. He felt like a sapless plant. There seemed to be no end for shocks! Akash laughed and said that the girl wasn't Khushi but her sister Payal. Hearing that Arnav parotted, Payal. To make sure what he heard was right, he asked once again was it Payal that he wanted to marry? When Akash said it was so, Arnav filled with relief, letting out a deep breath told him to consider it as done. His wish will be fulfilled.
Akash who just couldn't believe his ears asked for confirmation. Arnav told him with a smile, not to worry as he would handle Nani, Di, Mami, and Mama that night itself. Arnav was extremely happy with the state of affairs now. Just a few minutes back he was seeking a way to stop Khushi from going to Lucknow and now it had been given to him in a platter and he would ensure that she would always be with him and would never be able to leave him and go away. Akash overcome by gratitude threw himself at his brother. Arnav patting him on his shoulder set his mind on a single track of examining the advantages of this lifeline thrown by Akash with the right sort of bait! He knew that he owed Akash big time!
In this update we see both Arnav and Khushi undergoing turbulent emotions in their own way.
We see Khushi in turmoil. She knows if she terms her feelings as love it will be unrequited as she is always reminded of his lashing tongue that had scarred her into thinking that there is no solution to this problem. In this update, we see her coming to terms with shifting to Lucknow even if it breaks her heart. She is bearing things stoically in front of others but inside she is shattered.
