Hello all. M back from my vacation. Thank u so much for being so supportive. M overwhelmed with the messages I got from all of u n m very thankful to u all for being such understanding readers. As promised, the update this time is looonnggg n I hope u all will like it. This chapter will b in two parts. Part B will b posted this weekend n it will b shorter.

So... Here we go...

Chapter 46A

Two Days before Concert

The situations were getting better. Sonam & Rishi had started talking again. There was some awkwardness among them but they chose to ignore it n continued being normal as before. Sonam was not yet ready to face the changes that had occurred in their relationship since they had patched up.

Sonam had gone for the rehearsals along with Harshad & Sriti. Anjali had started working at the Mumbai branch of AR for now. She was interested in set designing and event management. Arnav was more than happy to give her a go ahead for this. Arjun was still confused about his increasing concern towards Anjali and was trying to figure out his thoughts. Rohan & Lavanya along with Akash & Payal had gone to watch a movie. So the only people at home were Arnav, Khushi & Rishi.

Rishi's Room

Arnav had already told Khushi about the conversation he had with Rishi.

Khushi: Do u actually think it will work?? What if she gets mad??

Rishi: Dii, m tired of being her FRIEND. I want more.

Arnav: But don't u think it's too early for this?? Give her some time.

Rishi: No jiju. I think I have already given her enough time. I had realized my feelings 5 years ago. Since then, m trying to know about her feelings. I tried anger, ignorance, jealousy, undue attention, n practically everything, in order to find out what she feels. But she is too stubborn to give anything away. I won't wait any more. Whatever happened in the past can't b changed. But I don't want to take chances now. Her "just friends" belief is getting on my nerves now. I'll just go n tell her. To hell with what she thinks. I want to b honest with my best friend jiju. N m hiding the biggest fact of my life by hiding my feelings from her.

Khushi: But u know well how she feels about relationships and men after what she has gone through. Then??

Rishi: She can't continue living her whole life with this perception. She will change her thinking for some person at some point of time in life. Then why can't he b me??

Arnav: I know. But Rishi'

Rishi: Jiju!! U asked me to go ahead that day.

Anav: That was because I thought that u r planning to do this someday in future. N that future means some years later.

Rishi: I had planned that. But now I changed my mind.

Khushi: It means that ur decision is final??

Rishi: Yes!!

Khushi: Fine. But if anything goes wrong, then I won't accept in front of anyone that I supported u. N if Chhutki is hurt, neither will I spare u, nor Arjun Bhai n Rohan Bhai.

Rishi (smiling): I know. N now we have another bodyguard for Princess in the form of jiju.

Arnav: Good that u know.

And they all smiled thinking about the whole plan again.

Evening

As everybody came back home, it was decided that they will all go for a picnic the next day. They had not got any chance to relax & have fun together since the day they had come to Mumbai. So finally they decided to have some relaxed time before the mega event.

Next Day (Early Morning)

It was decided that they will spend the day at beach close to Arnav's beach house. Arnav had bought that place some months ago. Khushi had visited the beach house once with Arnav but the rest of them had no clue about it till now. Their bags were packed and loaded in cars as everybody got ready for the day.

Beach House

They all put their bags in their rooms and after getting freshened, they all went towards the beach. The breakfast had been laid out on a huge table kept outside at the beach. They all had their breakfast among a lot of light chit-chat and then started with various activities. They had a Frisbee, volleyball and various other games. They started with the volleyball as the teams were divided. On one side were Arnav, Akash, Lavanya & Rishi while on the other side there were Khushi, Rohan, Arjun & Sonam. Anjali and Payal had opted out of the game and were relaxing at some distance, watching the others play.

Arnav was distracted throughout the game as he had never seen Khushi in such attire before. She was wearing a white sleeveless skin fit top with a blue floral patterned skirt. The look was new for Arnav and all he could think throughout the day was to take her away and kiss her senseless. It should b a crime to look this beautiful' and sexy too.

Khushi was well aware of Arnav's gaze on herself. She had clearly read desire in his eyes when she had met him in the morning. She was avoiding eye contact throughout the time as Arnav had earlier caught her checking him out and she didn't want to give away her thoughts which had left her scandalized when they had entered her mind on seeing him in his casual attire of white t-shirt and grey Capri. Why does he have to look so hot all the time??

Khushi was trying hard to concentrate on the game while Arnav had missed many easy shots. All this was not unnoticed by others as they were passing meaningful smiles to each other. Sonam was very happy to see her sister smile n blush. Anjali n Payal were seeing all this from a distance and were relieved to see their siblings having some moments of true happiness in their lives.

Payal: They look so happy. Nazar na lage kisi ki!!

Anjali: Hmm' M glad k inme sb theek hai. I can never stop blaming myself for all that happened but m happy that things r improving now.

Payal: It was not completely ur fault Dii. We should have told u when we found out. But m glad that it's over now. We shouldn't think about all that. It's in the past n we should bury that past behind to start afresh.

Anjali: I agree.

Payal (changing the topic): So?? Aap or Arjun Bhai' Sb theek hai??

Anjali: (laughing) He's too stubborn. But I think even that trait of his is justified. He had been through a lot n I really understand if he needs time. Moreover, I have all the time in the world. I don't want to rush into things this time.

Payal: Mtlb aap dono abi tk ussi footing pe ho??

Anjali: Mera purpose Arjun ko mujhe accept krne k liye convince krna nai hai Payal. Filhaal mai sirf dosti se hi khush hu. Mujhe pata hai k wo abi kisi relationship k baare mein nai soch rahe n I just want k jb wo relationships n commitments ko le k soche toh unke mind mein sirf mai hou. Mujhe sirf itni jagah bnani hai unke mann mein k agar kbi life mein wo kisi ladki k baare me dubara soche toh wo ladki mere elawa koi or na ho. Ab uske liye wo jitna b time le, m ready to wait.

Payal (watching Anjali intently): Or agar wo aage badhe hi nai toh??

Anjali (after some moments of silence): Toh wo mere dost toh rahenge. N m happy with that too.

Payal: U love him.

It was not a question. It was a statement n this time Anjali opted to b honest.

Anjali: I do. N it doesn't matter if he doesn't return my feelings.

Payal (self thought): M proud of u Dii. N I hope k Arjun Bhai apni feelings jaldi realize kr le.

On the other hand

Arjun was distracted as he still had his conversation with Anjali going on in his mind. He was still confused about his own feelings. He knew that things were changing and he did not want to accept this change. As he was not paying attention, he did not notice Arnav's shot and the ball hit him on head. Arnav had hit the shot forcefully and due to it's impact, Arjun fall down. There was no bleeding but a lump was formed on his forehead n it was turning blue. Everybody rushed towards him to see if he was fine.

Anav: U okay?? M sorry I didn't mean to hit u but it missed.

Arjun: It's okay Dude. I was not paying attention n I didn't see the ball coming.

Meanwhile Anjali n Payal too reached there.

Anjali: R u okay?? Should I call the doctor??

Arjun (avoiding eye contact): M fine.

Anjali: But'

Arjun just looked away and Anjali, realizing the presence of others, decided to check on him later. Arnav had seen the whole exchange and he was confused. He had many times noticed that his Dii cared too much for Arjun but had let it pass. But Khushi totally read the concern n restlessness in Anjali's eyes n deduced that there's something going on between them.

Afternoon

Everybody was having some rest after a tiring morning.

Arnav's Room

Khushi was standing at the window, looking outside towards the waves in the sea. Arnav noticed this and came close. He hugged her from the back, holding her from her waist n keeping his chin on her shoulder.

Arnav: What happened??

Khushi: Nothing. Bs kuch soch rahi thi.

Arnav: Itni lost ho k kya och rahi ho??

Khushi: Aapne aaj Arjun Bhai n Dii ko notice kia??

Arnav: They r friends Khushi. Ek dusre k regarding concerned hona normal hai.

Khushi: It's much more than just friendship. I could read it in Dii's eyes.

Arnav: Tum zyada soch rahi ho.

Khushi: Or agar aisa hua toh??

Arnav: I trust Arjun. Agar aisa hua toh I would b the happiest person. Dii sahi insaan k saath ho toh mujhe kyu problem hogi.

Khushi: Pakka??

Arnav: Of course. (changing the topic) N waise ab humare beech mein Ajun or Dii kahan se aa gaye??

Khushi (confused): Matlab??

Arnav turned Khushi so that now she was facing him.

Arnav: Matlab hum jb b baat krte hain toh kisi na kisi or ki hi baat krte hain. Kbi Sonam, kbi Dii. Hum kbi apne baare mein baat kyu nai kr skte?? (pouting)

Khushi (mischievously): Ohh!! Apne baare mein baat krni hai?? (innocently) Kya baat krni hai??

Anav: (in mock anger) Tumse toh baat hi nai krni chaiye.

Khushi: Abi abi toh aap keh rahe the k apne baare mein baat krni hai n ab bol rahe ho k baat krna bekaar hai. Aap ek cheez decide kyu nai kr lete??

Arnav (raising an eyebrow): Ab tumhara jhagda krne ka mood hai??

Khushi's mouth was a perfect 'o'. How dare he??

Khushi (hands on her hips): Mai jhagda krti hu??

Arnav: Toh kya mai krta hu??

Khushi: Har baar aap hi chillate ho. Don't blame me for that.

Arnav: Toh tum gussa dilati hi kyu ho??

Khushi: Theek hai. Ab baat mt krna mujhse.

She turned her back as she was angry. How dare Arnav blame her for his temper??

Arnav realized that he said too much n Khushi is mad on him now. But he was Arnav Singh Raizada n he knew well how to manaofy his crazy wife. HE held her from the back again and started rubbing her soft cheeks with his stubble.

Khushi: If u forgot, then let me remind u that m NOT talking to u.

Arnav: Well!! But I didn't say anything.

Khushi (annoyed): Then what do u think u r doing??

Arnav: No talking doesn't mean no touching too. Does it??

Khushi (frustrated): God!! U r impossible Arnav.

Arnav: Look who's talking!!

Khushi: WHAT??

But Arnav was tired of this stupid argument that they had started playfully n so he picked her up and took her to bed making her lie down softly.

Arnav (in a mocking tone): Still planning to continue the argument??

Khushi (accusing): U started it.

Arnav (lowering himself on her): Fine. Lets end it. Say sorry.

Khushi (rolling her eyes): In ur dreams.

Arnav: Suit urself!!

With that, he started tickling Khushi mercilessly. She had a hard time controlling her giggles.

Khushi (giggling): Stop Please' Please Arnav' Leave me'

Arnav (still tickling Khushi): Say sorry.

Khushi: M sorry!! (giggles)

Arnav: Say Arnav is the best.

Khushi: No way!!

Arnav was still tickling Khushi.

Khushi (in between giggles): Fine!! Arnav is the best.

Arnav (leaving her): Gud.

Khushi (controlling her giggles): U r so evil.

Arnav (joining the laughter): But u still love me.

Khushi (kissing his cheek): More than u do.

Note:

U all may find this one a bit stretched but what I wanted to convey is that a relationship n love is not always about intimacy. Sometimes it involves stupid arguments n teasing too. The most beautiful moments r treasured during these arguments most of the time. I learnt it seeing the relationship my parents share.
