When Gopi had sung of her love for her Ahem, she sang about the impact of her sindoor, her bindi, her pallu and her bright colours of love. This she did to stand her ground for Ahem against Anita in the jugalbandi. Today Ahem reminded her of what his love represents through her, that of her bindi and the colourful bangles he gifted her. He was aptly rewarded with a hug from his beloved wife.
This is the epitome of Gohem love.
His simple gesture of replacing her broken bangles with his gift in a subtle manner told of the kind of love Ahem has for his Gopi. It is one that is discreet, tasteful and deep love that is unbreakable and unwavering.
He actioned his surprise at the right moment too when he was expecting his tea and he knew she would least expect it. Her missing bindi enhanced the moment further. How different this moment was to the time when he refused to apply one for her on day after their marriage when he was told to do so. Nowadays he wants to ensure that she is his through her displaying her colours of love.
He waited with bated breath for her reaction and it came like he anticipated. However, he wanted more out of this gift. He expected her reply when he asked whether she liked it, but he wanted to hear her say it. Nothing could stop him from going the extra mile and to adorn her with them, and tell her to take care of them, knowing that she will. Even though he knew that she will be so predictable in her responses and reactions he wanted to experience these.
Her expressions and her hug were simply priceless to him as he too felt the same too.
Ahem had coloured her with his love just as Gopi had articulated to him.
