Here we have strong characters and their strength, especially Kumud's strength is in the virtue of accepting that there are other things apart from love that are important. Love, isn't this man-woman love, it's something much higher. So I'd like to see a show that has something different to offer. Virtue and sacrifice are not bad words - even in the modern world. It will be actually quite refreshing to see a woman live her life without sighing and having heart palpitations every time she sees 'him'.

But let's see. We can only watch.

Absolutely agree with you dude. In todays time we see many fictional, non-fictional love stories, who only reflect the inner feelings of man and women. But this story is different. I also feel that the original theme of the story should not be tampered.
It can give so much knowledge to the current generation and make them understand the meaning of love which is beyond two physical bodies and desires.
I also feel not all tragic ends or really tragic. They have positive direction in it. We end up only visualizing the two main leads journey ending as union as happy ending. But this may not be always true.

Hi, I'm the author of the post at Let's talk about Bollywood about Saraswati Chandra: I understand there has been a recent TV release of the same story, or at least a story with the same name, and my page has been receiving many, many visits! Not that I mind, of course, but can someone tell me a little bit more about the recent broadcast? Is it a movie? A series? And if a series, how is it serialised?
Thanks for any info!
