Part 8

Sorry for late update guys!! Bit please do read like and comment!! It's very much appreciated!! And again sorry for wait!!

With each step towards the medical room Rey was getting more and more tensed. He was fidgeting with his fingers and walking very slowly behind Taani, so they do not get there fast and he can some how get out of this situation. Since he was a child, he hated any sort of medication, whether it be cream, tablets or sirup. And still he can't stand any of them!! Especially injections!

Taani was tapping her phone in her hand continuously as she was getting agitated and angry at Rey's behaviour, but she decided to keep her cool and not say anything or else she might get out of hand and say something. She couldn't understand why Rey was purposefully staying back and walking slowly.

Rey and Taani had reached the hall way and the medical room was not far. Rey got really stressed and scared, he just couldn't stand it anymore!! he could smell the medicine from the hall way!! He had to leave!!...

R: (hoping this would work. smiling) acha taani... Ab mein chalta hoon... Mujhe medicine ki zaarorat nahi hai.

Taani was at her peak of annoyance now!! Her face was turning red and her grip on her phone became stronger. But she maintained her anger and turned around to face Rey.
T: (fake smiling, trying to hide her anger) hum bohot paas hai medical room ke, so chalte hai na...
R: (mumbling) i know... i can smell it... T: Kya?
R: (smiling) i mean ki i'm fine... So Koyi zaroorat...
T: (cutting Rey off. and losing it) Arre! Aise kaise zaarorat nahi hai!! (Closing her eyes and calming down. worried voice) Professor bol rahe the ki serious ho sakta hai...
R: No... I'm fine na! (Also getting annoyed at her persistence)
T: toh chila kyun rahe ho!! (Also getting pissed at his behaviour)

Rey just stood there his head drooped. Thinking of what to say.

T: (not getting a reply) Rey... (Taking a while to measure her words)... tum shayaad apne baare mein care nahi karte ho... but yaha pe log hain jo tumhari care karte hai...

Hearing Taani say that, Rey immediately understood she was talking about herself as she was the only person he actually communicated with, who else could she talk about?... And he felt touched, hearing those words from her mouth... He felt that for the first time in years someone's cared about him... someone actually looked at the person behind the arrogant! the mean! the Reyaansh Singhania!... And for the first time he didn't want to push away the care and love... he wanted it!! Actually to be quite true... he needed this care and love... 2 years!! it's been 2 years... Yet no one thought about him, his health and his feelings... no one came for him!! no one consoled him!! not even the person who his mother considered as his father! he not even once showed his face to him... instead he left!! he left to the U.S, as he considered him as a burden!! he didn't want to waste his money on his studies... instead he got remarried!! And now happily living in a mansion with another son and here Rey... Who even remembers him??!

But the point here was that he just didn't want to go to the medical room... so he completely ignored the emotional talk because he knew that girls are best at emotionally blackmailing people into doing things they don't want to.

R: (ignoring the point made by her. In a childish tone) arre paar mujhe nahi ana!! (Assuring her) I'm perfectly fine!!!
T: (getting irritated and raising her voice) Listen Rey i don't want to hear anything else!!! abhi mera mood off hai, so right now meri baat maan lo, nahi to natija (outcome) acha nahi ho ga!!!!
R: (again in childish tone) paar... Taani... (Making a babyish sad face)

A smile was slowly and silently creeping up on Taani's face, seeing how adorable Rey's puppy face looked... For a moment she got lost in his eyes. They reflected the eyes of a child... pleading... Innocent... not wanting to do something...
He was so cute...

R: please...

Taani snapped out of her trance and put on an irritated face and voice.

T: (she grabbed his hand) Chup chap meri saath medical room chalo! (She starts pulling him down the hall way, towards the medical room)
R: (screaming and resisting her pull) nahi... Nahi... Mujhe nahi jana (pulling her back) I hate the medical room!!
T: Rey stop being a kid!! Chalo!! (Pulling him strongly down the hall way, having enough of his childish ways)
R: please mujhe dawayi (medicine) bohot buri lagti hai!! (Pulling her back and trying to free his hand)
T: (pulled him harder and puffing from the tug-of-war) Rey just come on!!... (And pulled him all the way to the medical room)

In medical room-
Taani sat Rey on the bed. And started calling the nurse.
T: Nurse!!?... Nurse!!'Hello!!! Koi hai kaya? (Looking around the room)

Seeing no one around Rey's lips curved perfectly into a smile.
R: (in his mind) agar nurse nahi hai to NO DAWAYI!!! Yes. Yes. Yes!!!!

He Celebrated his victory by doing a victory dance... He was jumping up and down as if he had just won the biggest battle of his life.
Taani was still searching the room. She turned around and Rey immediately sat back on the bed.

T: (confused) tum kaya kar rahe the?
R: (scared) mein.. me... woh.. mein... HA! Mein woh nurse ko dhoond raha tha... (Making a sad face and innocent voice) paar ab toh woh nahi hai... To mera choot (bruise) kaise saahi hogi?? (saying innocently, wanting her to think that he wants medicine)
T: (feeling really bad for him. She lovingly placed her hand on his face and made a puppy face) koi baat nahi Rey...(sweetly smiling) mein kardongi!!
R: (his innocent sad face was immediately wiped off. his eyes popping out) ahh... wo... (Confused how to get out of the situation) NAHI!!!
T: (shockingly took her hand back) kya hua??! Chila kyon rahe ho!?
R: ahhh (nervously laughing... he was biting his nails in his mind) i mean ki tumhare haath gande (dirty) ho jayinge na issliye...
T: oho Rey! Itni si baat! (Ruffling his hair) Koi baat nahi mein abhi laga deti hoon... Ap aram seh baathiye.
R: (in mind- ARAM SEH BAATHIYE!!! Dawayi... Dawayi... Dawayi!!! Arre kyun nahi samajti yeh lardki!!) to taani- (irritated) Ha! Ofcourse mein kaha jaaonga...

Taani turned around and started taking out the cream... While doing that she started talking...

T: (Anger in her eyes and bitterness in her voice) I don't know Swayam ko kya ho gaya hai!! Aise kaise tumhe punch kar sakta hai!!??!

She turned around and walked over to Rey with the cream, still talking...

T: let me see Rey...
R: hmmm... (Turned his face towards her)

Taani started blowing onto the area which was starting to get bruised and turn blue.
Rey's eyes were tightly shut, scared of the cream... Taani stared at his cuteness in awe... She couldn't believe that he was the same guy who was so rude to her 1 day ago and now he looks completely different. he had a different emotion on his face. A simplicity to him that attracted her... A cuteness, that made her want to be with him... A look in his eyes that welcomed her into his life... it was just something totally different to the Rey she knew... And she liked it...

The scene was replaying in her mind... The way he was laughing with her, his gentle hands on her back, the fidgeting of his fingers when he was uncomfortable and the way he walked back as she went closer to him. And in the hallway, his cute pouts... Childish voice... pleading eyes... innocent face... It was all so magical for her... all So Picture Perfect!

She placed the cream on his bruise, which had torn skin around it. Rey gave flinch in respond to the sudden chill and burn on his face... His eyes tightened even more and lips slightly opened as he sucked in air strongly. Making a sort of whistling sound.

Taani started spreading the cream across the wound. Completely lost in him... She felt a smile starting to cross her face...
But then she remembered the way she had emotionally black mailed Swayam into hurting Rey. Then the scene where Swayam had punched Rey started replaying in her head, making her feel guilty with each passing second!

Taani withdrew her hand back from Rey's face feeling very guilty... Her eyes started becoming wet seeing Rey's pain and she started sobbing... Thinking how much pain she had caused him...

Hearing sobbing Rey managed to open one of his eyes and make out Taani's crying face and at that moment he didn't care for anything else... all he could see was Taani... he forgot all his fears and pain at the sight if her weeping Rey opened both his eyes... he could see a tear silently sliding down from her eyes, it moved all the way down to the edge of her chin where it was about to fall to the ground... but Rey forwarded his hand and caught it on his finger. it was glistening on his index finger, as if it were a diamond. And Rey hated the fact that these Diamond like tears were being wasted on him.

Trying to calm Taani down:

R: i'm okay... Woh bas thorda sa lag raha tha but now im fine. (Faking a smile, even though his bruise was burning from the cream)
T: (she placed her right hand on his face, near the bruise) sorry Rey... Saab meri galti hai!! Meine hi Swayam ko tumhare against bhard kaya (blackmailed) tha... (Sobbing) i'm so sorry!! (Feeling guilty she lowered her face in shame)

Rey took Taani's hand off his face and held it in between both his hands

R: (feeling happy seeing her innocence) hey it's okay... Tum toh senti hogayi!! Mijhe bilkul bhi nahi lagi... Promise (smiling)

Taani knew Rey was lying, as just a minute before his eyes were closed shut from the pain. Feeling touched at his concern she slid her hand out from Rey's and flung them around Rey's neck... Hugging a still
seated Rey very tightly...

T: tumhe jhoot tu bilkul bhi bolna nahi aata! (She said smiling out of her tears)

Rey was astonished at her gesture, even a little put back seeing her sudden change of behaviour... But hearing her words his face lit up and he wrapped his hands around her, in a protective grip which settled her down. But soon Taani let go and wiped her tears.

T: look Rey! Yeh baat kisi ko pata nahi chalni chaiye!!! Theek hai! (Putting on a warning face)
R: (confused) konsi baat?
T: ki mein senti hogayi thi!! Okay? Meri yaha ek reputation hai... So plz usse kharab mat karna! Okay!!! (Putting on a playful face, making Rey chuckle)
R: okay baba... Theek hai! (Actioning to zip his lips) yeh baat top secret for life!
T: (smiled hearing the 'words for life') okay i'll finish with bandaging this wound and then we'll go to our next class...
R: hmmm...

Taani finished bandaging his wounds and they both left the medical room.

Lovely update, love Rey antics and his innocent behavior he is so scared of anything medical lol. He try everything he possibly can to get out from going to the nurse but Taani wouldn't have it. Love the fact that she cared so much for him and she sees him for who he is and not what he shows people. Love the moment the shares. U did an impeccable job, amazing writing skills, love the chapter and plz continue soon and hell no this update was far from boring.

Loved it to the core!! Can see love taking over both of them!! Loved it!!
