Rabba ve dear Aquiline...
An emotional update once again... Though it had a melancholic tone to it, the chapter reverberated with hope and determination... After reading the chapter, my feelings of sadness and sympathy were overshadowed with PRIDE... for the honesty in Lord Arnav's remorseful words and for the elegance and dignity in Lady La's understanding words... If one need a strong and brave heart to confess and feel remorse for his faults, then a really noble, benevolent heart is needed to understand, forgive and empathize with the person at fault... Just one word for Lord Arnav and Lady La... "RESPECT".
But Lord Arnav didn't look back and raced straight for the stable where, without saddling his horse, he simply yelled into the darkness, "Shadow!" and the horse stepped out of the stall and waited as his Master swiftly climbed atop his smooth back.
Awww... SHADOW!!!!!!... 😛 After such a long time...
They had almost reached the carriage, Shadow's strong legs trotting through the thick rain and splashing water furiously as he raced on, but the carriage was not stopping so Lord Arnav forced his horse further ahead and slid to the front of the carriage, bringing the carriage to a sudden halt.
Pardon me my dear, but I was unceremoniously reminded of a similar encounter between a charming soldier cum Lord and a bewitching Queen from my all time favourite novel in Tamil...😉... the only difference being, there'll be a palanquin in the place of carriage in that novel... Kindly excuse me for the off-topic discussion...
He leaned forward, the drops from his hair falling on her paper and earning a hissing "Careful!" from her.
"I've wrapped it thick so as not to get it dampened in the rain when you ride back," she explained,

"Are you running away?"
"I am going home," she stated simply.
Ahhh... the nerve of him... to ask such a question? 😡 He is sometimes very blunt and arrogant with his words... But, I loved Lady La's cool yet determined reply...
"Everything that happened is over and we cannot change anything," sighed Lady Lavanya, and then she smiled, "The future, however, is yet to happen."
Why does Lady La sounds more like the Lady in Hood of-late???!!!!
"As friends," nodded Lady Lavanya, tears filling in her eyes but Lord Arnav was already stepping out of the carriage, into the rain.
Her eyes squinted through the rain but there was no sign of the dark horse and its rider.
They had disappeared into the darkness just as suddenly as they had come..
I completely understand... though he forgave the person who caused the pain, the pain of hurt still remains and will take time to be healed... Sometimes in life we'll get attracted to few people for some unknown reasons... on whom we'll be willing to shower the entire world's love and for whom we'll be ready to sacrifice our wealth and health... and if necessary even LIFE...
But, there comes a point in which we'll be harshly reminded of the truth that our love will not be reciprocated with equal passion... not because they don't like us, not because they admire us, not because they respect our feelings... but simply because they CANNOT as they are NOT MEANT for us...
As, similar poles cannot attract each other, as two similar components, cannot form a complete Yin-Yang... these people can be our friends, confidants, people who can always remain close to our heart... but they CANNOT complete us...
So, with the best of intentions at heart, it becomes a necessary to take the harsh decision of LETTING THEM GO... We may never meet them in the future, they may never be a part of our future life... but they'll always remain as a precious fragment of our HAPPY MEMORIES... FOREVER and ALWAYS... Hamesha!!!!
