CHAPTER 3-FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
"What?!" Karan screamed incredulously on the phone, Gosh that guy I'm telling you he and Trish are perfect for one another! Mr. And Mrs Drama Queen(&King).
"What what Karan? I said that your so-called 'brother' was the same guy I met last night at CZAR!... And pls do not ask me to repeat again, this is the 3rd time I'm telling you this!" I exclaimed, I was beginning to loose my otherwise calm and composed temper...
"But... But Madz u called him, "hottie","meany" and what not? You were all about him last night, I mean..."
"So what Karan? I don't even remember 1/2 the things I said... I was drunk nd wasted remember?" I spoke exasperated with the fact that I've to actually explain everything to him! Doesn't he have his own brain? Besides what was so wrong about what I said? Hell, my boss did look like a Greek God! And its not like I'm one of those foolish bimbos throwing themselves at him, he's hot so he is hot! Big deal!

Karan sighed," I don't know Madz, he's not the kind to take any course of action for no rhyme or reason... Besides your encounter with him wasn't ugly... It was more on the benevolent side. Or so I presume! Still, you should no one thing- he doesn't like meddling around with rubbish things during work, and he strictly does not, I repeat does NOT Befuddle his personal and professional life!" Ya right Mr. Advocating brother, that's why his 'GF' came and jeopardized me in broad daylight!
"Ya whatever, anyhow lunch break's gonna finish in like 10, ill..." I was collecting my coffee from the counter and turned around to find Mr .Rishab Kundra standing right behind me... Damn! I hope he hadn't overheard me taking Karan's name! Or talking about him! Or his overbearing GF! I was aghast and so I hurriedly said bye to Karan, and kept the phone down... And continued walking... Pretending like nothing ever happened. I was the best at doing that!
"Uhh...Ms. Mallick?" A voice called back... I froze on the spot! Damn, was I screwed?
"Y..Yes sir?" Shit stammering and me? What's wrong with you Mallick? I wouldn't even do that if I openly get caught cheating during my board examination! What was this man doing to me?
"You seem... Distressed?" He questioned... His eyes, OMG! His eyes they were so, beautiful! I know that sounds weird but they are okay? And they somehow communicate, mysteriously though!
I was busy eyeing his eyes, when he broke the silence,
"umm, Ms. Mallick? Is everything all right?" He inquired again, was he doing that with every new comer? Or is it just me?
"Yes... Yes sir... Just having lunch. Thank you very much" I spoke in a hurry and left from there before he could utter another word... The last thing I wanted him to know was that I was ogling him with desirous eyes! Darn me!
I hastily went and sat at the table where all the new interns were already present and chattering about the latest Hollywood disasters at the LA fashion week!
From the corner of my eye I could see Rishab looking at me intently, he probably thought what a lunatic he had hired as his assistant... I wondered what was the reason for his far-out behavior towards me, at times he would just pretend like he didn't know me and the other moment he talks to me like I'm his old lost acquaintance! God Madhu, its just been less than 24 hrs since you've met him, stop with the over thinking! You don't even know the guy yet!
"Madz?... Madhu!!" I felt someone nudge me, I looked towards my left only to find Jake... Looking at me with an eccentric expression... I guess I was too carried away with my thoughts! Jake was the new intern, he was so bloody cute, but he was gay! Why are all the cute guys either taken or gay?
"Uhh... Yeah jake? Soryy... I was"
"Daydreaming about your project partner?" Serena winked at me... She was a puny little thing with sharp features... She kind of resembled Jasmine from Aladdin! Except she was fair!
"That's your job sweety," I chuckled, wishing not to get caught in the process...
She looked at me with narrowed eyes and then suddenly went red.
"Ooohh someone's flustered!" Armaan teased her, amongst the group of 5 interns that had joint... Armaan and I were the only ones sharing a common nationality! And mind you, Armaan could very well give a hot shot gym instructor deep competition! This guy was good-looking! Way too good-looking!
"Heyy!! You can't deny that RK has got some..." Serena was in loss of words, I could see that! I just smiled and shook my head looking at her Face!
"Spunk!" Jake explained...
"Yeah, that! I mean c'mon Armaan, he's the owner of this fashion firm!... And extremely HOT!"
"I still don't understand what is he doing with that fashion disaster, Deepali!" Armaan exclaimed, thank god! Now this conversation was worth being a part of!
"Uh-huh, that bimbo's lucky!" I suddenly spoke out of the blue...
And suddenly 3 pair of eyes were gawking at me... I stopped eating the heavenly subway sandwich and looked at them with a perplexed expression...
"What?"
"Umm... I guess we should leave..." Serena spoke abruptly looking down and hurriedly stood up to leave, the others followed her action excluding me... I looked at them in a vex and that's when Jake gestured me to look behind... I turned around only to find my best friends brother standing right in front of me with a diverted expression... I swear my eyes popped out as I stuffed the last bit of my lunch inside my mouth... I wiped my face quickly with my hands and looked at him with my eyes glowered to the ground and hand falling on each side... I looked like a bloody 5 year old child who was just caught up in the act of stealing her fav chocolate! I glanced behind me, slightly and those losers had gone! Jerk-heads! I bet this man must've heard our 'Deepali Bag- bitching' session!
My eyes were still fixed on the ground, and that's when suddenly my heart started beating faster than its normal rate, causing me to shut my eyes close...
"In my cabin, Now."
I could feel RK's breath on my shoulder as he spoke huskily in my ear...
I opened my eyes with a jerk and by then he was gone, was he superman or something? Or did I just hallucinate?
I looked around and found Serena giving me a wicked expression mixed with that sly smile... She showed me a thumbs up sign and walked off! Okay, that was for real, so now I've 2 face my infuriated boss! Damn.

I knocked the door for the 4th time now... God! What's wrong with him?
First, his weird reaction on seeing me in the morning! And asking me to leave his cabin without even glancing back or telling me my work duty... Which his manager, Bittuji told me! Great!
Secondly, his encounter with me at the food counter!
And now this! His proximity!
Damn, it was almost 20 minutes since I was anxiously waiting outside that god-damn door! That's it... I flung the door open and stormed into his cabin...
And I contrite that action,
I was astonished to find Deepali sitting on his lap and kissing him! Though it seemed one sided, as I saw a frown appear on his face and his hands trying to get rid of her!
That's it, I wasn't going out... No way! Why should I? Can't they get a room?
I coughed rather loudly than I had wanted it to be. Deepali jolted up and turned back while RK(ass) he just stood up and cleared his throat!
"Oh, Madhuba-la! You shouldn't disturb people when they're... Busy you know!" Deepali said annoyed... And then looked at RK coyly...
"Well I'm sorry,I didn't know that 'making out' in the office was categorized as being busy!" I mocked... I was hell irritated with this young lady who the hell does she think she is, princess cleopatra?
"Why? Are you jea.." She started off again and I would've surely put her to place if RK wouldn't have disrupted our little bone of contention...
"You may leave Deepali" he said coldly...
"RK but" as usual she was never ever ready to give up!
"I said LEAVE" his voice was louder
She stormed out of his office while giving me a death glare which I reciprocated with equal intensity...
I looked backed at RK after she left, with a miffed look and spoke with the same tone,
"Why did you call me?"
"I don't think so you've any right to ask me that Ms. Mallick, I'm your boss therefore..."
"Well then, 'Sir' if your done with your sweet encounter with 'Ms. Bhatia' may I ask you what help can I be of?" I was in no mood to listen to his baseless facts and explanations.
He looked at me with narrow eyes, I decided to stare right back at him, except this time there was fire in my eyes...
He walked up to me, closing the gap b/w us and I stood there adamant on my stand, what does he think of himself? Just because he's my boss doesn't mean he can act all smart with me! Madhubala Mallick doesn't let people act smart, because there can be only 1 smart person at a time and that has to be ME!
He stood at a feet long gap, mind you that is less... And unexpectedly leaned towards me while I lent back until my back hit the table behind, all this while my eyes were fixed upon his and his were... Well I feel he sees my eyes to be a pretty monument which he can gaze all day long!
And then in a quick reflex action he stood still and walked back towards his desk... Err with a file in his hand. Urghhh!! What was he up to?
I was astounded by the sudden interaction and looked at him with expansive eyes...
He seemed amused at that fact which bugged me furthermore, peeved I walked towards the door when his voice called back
"I didn't ask you to leave Ms. Mallick, I assume you detest your work already?"
That's it, enough of this crap!
"Then I'm sorry to let you know sir, that your assumption indeed is wrong... I am very much fond of my work place and my co-workers!" I replied curtly...
"Ahaaan," he said while getting up," didn't seemed so a while ago!" He stated with a standard smirk, what is with that devillish smile anyway?
"Well, your 'Girl Friend' happens to be an old acquaintance, sir! I was just settling in some scores..."
He chuckled,"She's not my GF, I broke it off last night... She's just in denial or shall I say shock!"
"That pimp little bimbo!" I was aggravated beyond limits... I threw my hands in the air and rolled my eyes disbelieving ly! That woman is such a b****!
"Do you know what she said?!"
RK looked startled at my sudden reaction!
"That weirdo accused me of coming here to steal YOU from her! And moreover she warned me...ME that if I don't stay AWAY from you. She'll have ME fired!"
RK looked at me with a cute smile while I... Wait what was I doing? Venting. Out my frustration on my Boss? My Boss?
I immediately composed myself and stood in that punishment pose... "I..m sorry...I was..."
He walked back to his seat and casually sat down...business-like though! I didn't quite understand this gesture!
"Before the supplementary magazine Ms. Mallick we've the NY fashion week around the corner, its a summer-spring collection and..." He trailed off... Wait a minute! He ignored me! He completely ignored me! How courteous!??
"Its an imp fashion week and all top magazines participate and showcase their designs in it... I want you to check this file thoroughly and see if everything is done... And inform the others as well! Ms. Serena will be presenting her designs as well, so make sure she's up for it!" He handed over the file to me and signaled me to leave, I gave a last feisty glare and stomped out!

I reached home a bit late that night, he had said that the fashion week was around the corner! I didn't know that around the corner meant in 5 bloody days! 5 DAYS!! Damn it!
And I had to check on the models and their outfits, arrange the reservations and write a report of the event and FQ's take on the event! (After its over)! Not to forget I had to mentally prepare Serena for the show, which was a big task!
So basically, the 1st day I enter my office I'm handed with a bunch of responsibilities and a super hot boss who crosses all the limits or weirdness and annoyance!
The next 4 days were very much busy-like, I didn't see much of RK as he was busy finalising the themes and I was busy following instructions...
