I will try to make next one better…LOL…Here is part 6. Give it a try.
-----
In my younger age my grandfather gave me an advice that I've been chanting in my mind ever since.
"Whenever you feel like going down the lane emotionally, then you just have to remember the dreadful incident of your life. It will make you stronger".
My morning starts with this line and ends in it. I gave a positive response to the sun rays which were trying to wake me up from long time and opened my eyes slowly as I sat up on my bed, lazily stretched my body feeling the freshness and warmth. I love mornings. Everything looks beautiful in the morning including dust. No matter how much I struggle throughout the day, but I never forget to smile after I wake up from my sleep. My idea of sheer bliss.
"Mama…. Mama" I called out for my mother as I searched for her in the house. She didn't show up anywhere. I fastened my steps to find her quickly. I had a big presentation to complete and I hadn't even got a caption in my hand. At last I found her in her room. The minute I saw her, I inclined to scream. She was pale and contained no facet or gleam of beauty, almost lifeless . I walked slowly with tottering steps. I was paralyzed with fear as I stopped my steps and looked at her face.. She had some rare heart disease. We were attending her regular checkup and she was under proper medication. But I never saw her in this condition. When it comes to her health, we'd always been in an unusually communicative in a reserved way. I snapped my mind out of fear and managed to muster some courage.
"Mama" I called her flabbily pretending to be brave. I'd always been financially independent and emotionally dependent on her. She was the only exception of my grandfather's advice.
"Mmm" she replied almost imperceptibly as she opened her eyes slowly.
"Mama…. Are you unwell? Should I call the ambulance?" I asked her quickly as I adjusted myself on the edge of her bed.
She looked at me and laughed faintly.
"Why do daughter's have to be over reactive?" she questioned me clearly rejecting my concern.
"It's because mothers are careless about their health" I said in a soft and coarse voice. She seems to be much more worldly than me, but actually she wasn't.
"Manvi…. I forgot to take the medicine. If you feed me the medicine, then I will be fine in no time" she said as I quickly fed her medicine and covered her with the quilt. After the time lapse of 36 mins, she opened her eyes and I saw a damp gleam of improvement in her eyes.
"Manvi…. Before you oppose listen to me first. I m fine now. You can leave me alone. Today is a big day for you. I don't want to be a hurdle in your career. If you want to make me feel miserable, then stay here" she said indirectly asking me to go. Moms are melodramatic. Aren't they? There was no point to argue with her. I called my maid Saroja and asked her to come quickly. After she came I handed her my mother's responsibility and left the house. I often do that. Whenever I feel my mother wasn't in a good condition then I ask her to take care of my mother. She takes a big amount to do that. Mutual understanding.
------
"Mr. Bhatiya…. Please give some more time. I will find a way to clear this thing once and for all" I asked or in other words I pleaded him. When I was on my way to the office, I'd got a call from Alisha informing that I received a bank notice—again--. Mr. Bhatiya was a bank manager. My Nanu (grandfather) took a loan when he was alive, now the house was forced into bankruptcy. I didn't have any knowledge about that money. If I want that house, I had to clear this loan. I tried my level best to manage everything, to save my house. Nothing seemed to be working in my favor. My mother didn't know about this and I chose not to tell her.
"Ms. Chowdary…. I am sorry. I can't take your side anymore. Now the matter is out of my hands. You have one month to decide" he concluded. I tried all manner of ways to convince him. But of no use. He helped me a lot. Now the time had come to let him off the hook. I was tired. However you look it, my life was still a mess. This day couldn't get any worse. There was no one to be accused of my situation.

As soon as I entered into my cabin, Ajay came in and asked me "Manvi…. Do you have a caption for that Perfume Project. They keep asking me about it as you know caption is an important factor for an Ad".
A sort of apology arose to my lips and I answered "Not yet".
"It is a key project for our company and for your career also. So careful" he advised me. I nodded my head slowly.
"Ummm…. I heard about the bank notes. I know you don't like to be a receiver. But if anything I can do for you then tell me" he held my hand affectionately. A stirring concern flowed from his words which brought a smile on my face and I again nodded my head. But a suddenly opened door grabbed our attention. My forever fake fiance appeared in front of me and his glare made Ajay to leave my hand. I masked my face with a smile and introduced them to each other. They formally greeted before Ajay left us alone.
"I have to put a sign on you. So that everyone can acknowledge you as my girl and get a grip to their moves" he said gruffly.
"I belong to no one" I retorted with the same intensity.
"We shall see that later" he replied, in a moment he looked at me with an absolute smirk on his face. His smirk was an indelible action which has a permanent effect on the other people. He made a deft and quick movements in my cabin as if he was investigating something.
"What Brings you here?" I asked him vigorously.
"Your love; I mean my love" he replied.
I was tired with the continued happenings from morning. I stood there rubbing my forehead with my right hand and the other was resting on my hip.
"Why me? I mean why do you love me?" I asked him delicately.
"Difficult question; instant reason is…." He paused there as he came close to me, bringing his face closer; he pretended to be inhaling my fragrance.
"Mmm…. A fragrance that makes you lovable" he replied ecstatically.
"What did you say?" I asked him. There was an elation in my voice which made him surprised. He'd taken a back unable to understand the reason behind my excitement.
"Uhh… It's your fragrance that makes you lovable. Relax. I was just joking" he said as if he was trying to convince me. I hurriedly reached my desk as I sat down on the chair and started writing on the notepad. He tried to say something but I gave him a deaf ear. After a few minutes when I still engrossed in my work, Ajay stormed into my cabin.
"Manvi…. MD was asking about the presentation. Are you done with it?" he asked me with utmost rush and as I was about to say something, he snatched my notepad and after a pause looked at me amused.
"WOW… Manvi… Is this a caption? A Fragrance that makes you lovable" he asked me as a ray of happiness shined in his voice. I lowered my eyes to the floor and nodded my head in positive.
"Excellent.. You did it. Finish the presentation as we have a meeting to attend" he completed his speech and left without waiting for my reaction.
I still lowered my head and said a little prayer to god. I knew what was coming and I mentally prepared to face it.
"You used my line as your caption. Such a smart thief you are" he spoke in a haughty, supercilious way.
"Did you invent those words?" I questioned him as if I did nothing wrong.
"I framed it" he remarked.
"I used your line. What's the big deal?" I said languidly.
"It is a big deal. You don't want my love but you want my line. I'll complain to the manager" he said and turned around to move.
"Do you have any proof to prove your point?" I asked him as I mentally patted myself for this question.
"What an absurd thing to say? You have CC cameras here. Does that ring any bell?" he asserted and smiled victoriously.
"You will not go to the manager. Will you?" I asked him incredulously. This project was important for my promotion and I worked enormously hard on this project. So, I didn't want to mess up anything.
"Wait & see" he said as he turned around to move again.
"Stop; I will do anything you want me to do. Let's drop this matter here only" I said hurriedly in order to stop him. I requested him for the first time in my life. This day was a complete mess.
"Since you are pleading me, I decided to leave this matter. But one condition though" he agreed but when did I plead? I wanted to ask him the same, but saved my temper for some other time.
"What that could be?" I asked him blankly.
"We are going for a date on Saturday night" he said. I rather surprised by his tone.
"I m not coming anywhere with you" I replied him defiantly.
"You don't have a say in this darling. If you really want to say then let's go to the manager" he literally blackmailed me. What an earth I did to deserve this. Why didn't I think that caption before.
"You are blackmailing me" I said in a way to remind him his actions.
"Wind is in my favor, Endure It" he stated rather strongly.
"Fine. I will come with you" I agreed.
"Sensible Answer. And now, go and get me a cup of coffee" he ordered me bluntly. He really had some nerves to pass me orders.
"We've finished our given-taken terms. Now leave this place" I said coldly.
"Okay. Accompany me then" he held out his hand waiting for me to take it. I looked at him and smiled sarcastically. Before I could say something he interposed me.
"Otherwise I will stay here. Don't you have a presentation to complete?" he said as he settled down on the chair.

Be happy
