With a few exceptions, Bollywood has mostly been a male dominated industry. Of late Vidya Balan has surprised one and all with her Boxoffice 'Kahaani' comprising of her 'The Dirty Picture' act. With a huge fan base, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have always been the front-runners for the Top 3 after Vidya. Then there is Sonakshi Sinha and Asin who have given importance to commercial success and thus have been mostly part of hero oriented scripts. In between all this, there is an actress who has really managed to maintain balance between performance and glamour quotient in her roles. We are talking about Deepika Padukone who's riding high on success since last year.

1. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani: One of the most talked about off screen pair in B-town has been Ranbir-Deepika, who were last seen together in Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008). Well, we don't know about their real life equation but this hot jodi is coming back again on reel post their so called break up. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is directed by Ayan Mukherji (Wake Up Sid fame) and produced by Karan Johar. Music Director Pritam is composing for the first time for Dharma Productions and the first look poster of the film has only increased expectations. The icing on the cake is that this film is hitting the screens on the first Friday post IPL season on 31st May, the release date which has given two blockbusters (Ready [2011] and Rowdy Rathore [2012]) to the industry.

2. Chennai Express: Deepika gets back to reprise the Jodi of her debut film with King Khan 'SRK' in Chennai Express and the man at the helm of affairs is none other than Rohit Shetty. This masala outing is touted by trade pundits as SRK's biggest commercial success in the recent times. Not only the film, but even its release date is generating tremendous curiosity. 27th July, 8th Aug (Eid), 15th Aug (Independence Day) and by Browse to Save">the list goes on. It would be interesting to see which date is locked but by the looks of it, Chennai Express is a sure shot winner in the making.

3. Ram Leela: Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ram Leela is an adaption of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet with Ranveer Singh and Deepika in lead roles. Recently the first look poster was launched which hinted this movie will have love and violence as its theme. The film will release on 29th Nov, two weeks after the hurricane Krrish 3 on Diwali.

4. Kochadaiyaan: With Kochadaiyaan, Deepika will by Browse to Save">share screen space for the very first time with Tamil superstar Rajnikanth. The film will be directed by Rajnikanth's daughter Soundarya R Ashwin. A. R. Rahman will compose the music for this mega budget film. Release date has not been officially announced yet.

Other than these confirmed projects, rumours say that she has also bagged leading roles in Singham 2 and Kick opposite Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan respectively. Also, there is an unconfirmed project to be directed by Prabhudeva with Ajay Devgn

She has the best line up of movies this year than any other actress..

She was at this same point in her career in mid-2010 but then her biggies flopped after the superhit Housefull. She lost momentum but finally is back with a bang! Playing Veronica really did wonders for her.

how is anushka on top of deepika with flops like LVRB,matru,patiala house 😕 Deepika has more hits than her !

Actually she does have best lineup of films in terms of BO and Acclaim.

Right now A league is Vidya-Kareena-Katrina-Priyanka

She is in Junior A League with Anushka-Parineeti-Sonakshi

She can get in A league or even kick out other girls with her 2013 films.

Infact if she is infact doing that film with Salman she could be no.2 or no.1
