"KUSHI!! WHY DID YOU TURN OFF MY ALARM?! NOW IM BLOODY LATE TO AN IMPORATANT MEETING!!" Arnav yelled as he looked at the clock noting the time. He collected necessary items and rushed to the bathroom. After a quick shower he came out and started searching for his blue shirt in his wardrobe.
"KUSHI!! WHERE IS MY BLUESHIRT?!" Arnav started screaming again. Just then Kushi came rushing to him with his shirt, which was neatly ironed. He glared her and grabbed the shirt and wore it. He again started searching his wardrobe. This time for his tie.
"KUSHI!! WHERE IS MY TIE?! WHY ARE MY STUFF NOT IN ORDER KUSHI?!!" he screamed again.
Kushi pushed him aside and searched for the tie and found it hung on the extreme corner of the wardrobe.
"have a little patience and search for it arnavji! Your stuff is kept exactly where they are supposed to be!" Kushi said irritated watching him yelling his head off for no fault of hers.
Arnav's glare intensified. He snatched the tie from her and started wearing it. He grew irritated as he couldn't knot the tie properly. Kushi, who was watching him caught hold of the tie and tugged him forward. She started redoing it and knotted it perfectly.
Arnav smoothed his tie and turned to wear his waist coat without giving another glance at Kushi.
Kushi just huffed at his unreasonable behavior and went out to the poolside. He got dressed completely and yook his laptop bag along with few important files for the meeting. He looked aroud to see if he forgot anything. Suddenly he remembered something and started started searching for it. Upon on finding it he started yelling again "KUSHI!! WHERE THE HELL IS MY BLUETOOTH?!".
Payash's room
Akash was running around the room getting ready while payal just walked in with his coffee.
"payal I told you to wake me up early! Now look!! Im late! Bhai will kill me!!" Akash said in a panicked tone while gathering all the important papers and putting them into a file"
"but Akash!! You came home at 2 in the morning. I didn't have a heart to wake you up when you were sleeping!" said Payal trying to make her husband understand
"I told you I had an important meeting early today!!" Akash yelled. Payal felt sad, but didn't say anything.
Akash checked his file one last time to see to it nothing was missing. Suddenly his hand came to a halt when he realized that one important paper was missing. He panicked and started going through the file again in a hope of finding it there. He let out a frustrated sigh and looked around in the room.
"Payal, I had taken out a sheet just a few minutes ago to get it signed by Bhai! Now its missing!" he said sweating all over getting, afraid that he lost that important paper.
Payal looked around the room in a hurry. She just couldn't watch her husband in sucha a state. Suddenly she spotted the paper and squeaked " Akash! You are sitting on it!!"
Akash shot up from the bed immediately and took the paper and let out a groan staring at the almost crumpled paper. 'bhai is seriously going to kill me!' he thought, desperately praying to god to save him from his brother's wrath.
Anjali, nani and mami were sitting on the dining table having their morning tea.
They turned to their right when they heard Kushi desperately trying to convince her husband to have his breakfast. They watch Arnav storming down the stairs with Kushi right behind him.
'Kushi don't irritate me! I told you I will have it in the office! Its because of you im late!! Don't hold me back anymore!" he told sternly.and walked towards the main door
"but Arnavji, I switched off your alarm so that you could rest for a little time more! You came home late at nighy totally tired from work!" Kushi said, running behind Arnav.
Anjali, nani and mami shook their heads at this and sighed. Anjali was about to call Arnav to have his breakfast.but stopped noting his foul mood. She knew better than to irritate him further. The ladies were about to go back to their tea. When they heard voices coming from the stairs. They turned their heads to their left and spotted Akash getting down the stairs followed by Payal, who had Akash's coffee in her hand.
" Payal I don't have time for breakfast! I will grab something to eat in the office! Stop fretting" Akash said as he rushed toward the main door.
"Akash atleast have your coffee!" Payal pleaded. Akash just proceeded forward and walked out of the house behind Arnav. They sat in the car and drove off leaving their respective wives disappointed.
It had been like this from past one month. The guys would work till past midnight and reach home late. Then leave early in the morning. AR industries had gained tremendous fame and clients from all over the world were desperate to get into a contract with Ar industries. The brothers buried themselves in work day in and out not sparing a single minute for their wives. Kushi missed spending quality time with her husband. He was very cranky these days. The work load seemed to get to him. the same situation goes to Payal. The ever calm Akash seemed veru edgy lately. But she couldn't blame him as he worked hard.
The raizada ladies looked up to see their bahus walk into the house with dejected faces.
They walked to the kitchen and brought the breakfast to the ladies.
" don't worry Khushi bitiya. Chotte will have something in the office. And payal bitiya same goes to you" said nani gently.
"haan kushiji and payalji don't worry." Said Anjali.
Payal just nodded her head while Kushi started "I don't trust your chotte in taking care of himself di! Don't you remember few months ago when Arnavji fainted in his cabin because he didn't have his food and medicines! Hey devi maiyya! He just irritates me by being stubborn all the time! Your chotte is such a hard nut to crack sometimes!" Kushi pouted.
Anjali and Nani giggled while mami choked while eating.
"hello hi bye bye, since bhen is Arnav Bitwa a nut to crack?" she asked
But her question went unheard as they were busy in their own thoughts.
Mami just 'Hmphed' and resumed eating.
At office'.
"What the hell Akash!! Didn't you find anything to sit on? Did you have to sit on this of all the thing?!
"who Bhai. Im so sorry. I didn't see it" Akash apologized desperately. Arnav irritatedly took out his phone and ordered Aman to prepare another copy.
"oh and Bhai Mr.Khanna is being adamant on meeting you tomorrow. He is not taking a no for an answer."said Akash
Arnav felt his head throbbing. He pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a frustrated sign.
'damn that Khanna' Arnav thought. He was an old man close to his 60's who wanted to crack a deal with AR industries. From what Arnav heard, he was a clingy sort of a person. And he had been trying to get in touch with Arnav. But he kept rejecting it. The truth is that Arnav wanted someone who were capable enough. But so far he didn't find anyone.
"fine Akash. Lets get this over with! Ask him to meet us tomorrow in our conference hall tomorrow". Arnav said finally.
At luch time Arnav and Akash sat together to have lunch. They had been waiting for their wives to call them. but they came to the conclusion that they were with the morning's incident. Come to think of it they did behave a little irrationally while their wives only thought of their well being. Feeling guilty they made up their minds to call them. Akash dialed Payal's number and waited for her to pick up.
"hello" came Payal's voice.
"hello Payal'wo'did you have your lunch?" Akash asked trying to make a conversation
"not yet" came a reply. Akash sensed that she was still upset.
"Payal im sorry who.." Akash tried to say but Payal cut him across saying "Akash I have to go. There is a lot of work left" saying this she cut the call.
Akash stared blankly at his mobile. Okay she is definitely very upset.
'I will make it upto her when I get back home' Akash thought determined.
Arnav had his medicines and called up Kushi. The phone continued ringing and Arnav was losing hispatience. Finally kushi picked his call.
"hello khu.."Arnav didn't get to finish his sentence as Khushi suddenly bombarded him with questions
"did you have your breakfast?" she asked in a stern voice
"ya'khu'" again he was cut off with her question.
"did you have your lunch and medicines?"
"ya just now'listen khu'" Arnav tried desperately to talk to her
"ok fine I have got to go! Lots of work to do" with that the line went dead.
Arnav stared at incredulously at his mobile.
'what the! Did she just hang up on him?! he thought
oh boy! She seemed terribly angry and upset. That is bad news. Now he has to work hard to calm her anger down. So there is only one thing to do!
Mission manofy Kushi.
And begin with reaching home early!!
