On the other hand, his ears weren't deaf to all those conversations…and his eyes weren't failing to notice Riya's lightly swollen up red cheeks…..Did he feel a bit of guilt within him? May be he shouldn't have slapped her? What was her fault anyways? She didn't know who Roshni was…..but another voice in him argued back….she asked for it…..remember what all she told……..His conflicting thoughts weren't ceasing at all…..but he showed nothing of it on his face!
All through, Riya's eyes were darting to his side in search of a changed expression on his face….was he even repenting his deed?? Or was he not at all bothered about it? She was unable to read it from his face….it appeared expressionless!

Rathod tried one last time, Riya, kya tum sure ho?? I mean are you sure you want to let him go so easily….tum jaanthi ho ke hum usse various charges pe arrest karwa sakthe hai…..ek on duty police officer pe haat utaaya hai ussne…charges aur bhi hai…..why do you want give up so easily?"
Riya alternated her looks between him and Rathod and then looking to his side, she replied "nahi sir….usse chodh dehthe hai….ab jo hogaya so ho gaya…is matter ko aur keenchna nahi chahthi….let it rest sir!
She kept looking at his direction while he said that but he never once turned back…..
Rathod shrugged in a not yet convinced manner "Okay…tumaari marzi!"
Shree and Chotu were pestering her constantly for changing her decision but she was adamant and stood firm in her decision to let the matter rest!
Arjun never looked to their side…He was in a don't care attitude which was really irking her but she wasn't aware of his inner wars too…….he was contemplating and regretting what he had done in the spur of the moment…..In an angry moment, he had done something which he shouldn't have done….
For the first time in life, he was regretting for having done something…….
Even in the worst of times, he hadn't done such a mistake…..Rathod and the rest of the team were right…..Slapping a lady was the worst thing a man could ever do…..He felt ashamed of what he did…..
He, himself had several times dealt with men who did that and had considered them as a shame to his entire gender….."apni mardaangi ek aurat ko taphad maarkar saapit nahi kar sakthe…" he had advised several men and now in his weakest moment, what had he done??
He had done the same grave mistake…..He had to apologize to her…..it would be his first ever apology in his life! He had never done that before!….
Fed up of his inner tug of wars and the discussions between the team about the same incident, he got up from there and walked out of the room thinking about what to do….
Riya's eyes followed him till he went out of her vicinity…..
She was hurt more now….he hadn't even bothered to talk to her or even given her an apologetic glance….She already knew that he was hot headed, but now, she realized that he also had a heavy head! So heavy that he couldn't even bend it a little to her and apologize!
"MCP! Arrogant, Most egoistic guy I had ever met!" those were the words of praises that were singing for him in her head!
Soon, Rathod also left the room leaving behind the other 3 to themselves…..

Shree was waiting for Rathod's exit from there…..he had already noticed Riya's glances at their new senior officer and was waiting to tease her a bit…..he cracked a silly joke which wasn't after all that silly or funny
Shree spoke up chuckling, "Riya….baat kuch aur toh nahi na?? mera matlab, yeh kisi ke pyar ke nishaani toh nahi??"
Chotu: pyar ke nishaani…..aur yeh??…[after thinking for a moment and noticing Shree winking at him, he decides to play along]..haan pyar ke nishaani ho bhi saktha hai…..kyun Riya?
Riya: accha?? aur woh kaise?? Bathaane ke kasht karenge, huh???
Chotu replied "woh sab baatein Shree explain karega….aakhir technical expert wahi hai na?"
Shree: haan bathaatha hoom na….imagine, tumne kisi akdu ko propose kiya ya phir kuch ulta seedha kiya usske saat aur woh badakh gaya……aur "taaat" padhi ek zor ka taphad….aisa bhi ho saktha hai na?? tab hogayi na yeh tumaara one sided pyar ki nishaani??? [grins at her while giving a hi5 to Chotu]
Riya rolled her eyes at him "Shreee…tum bhi na?...kuch bhi bolthe rehthe ho….."
Shree didn't give up, "dekhaa….kaisa gaal pink ho gaye…..sharmaagayi na?"
Riya: [smacking him] Shree…gaal pink nahi red hua hai…..aur woh sharmaane se nahi par uss akdu ka taphad ki wajeh se hai!
Chotu: [the "uss akdu" term lights the bulb in both Shree and Chotu's heads] isska matlab, shree ki kahaani mein kuch toh sacch hai…..
Shree: [thinking] hmmm twist in the tale! Ab toh investigation karna padega!
Riya gets up rolling her eyes…."guys, main jaa rahi hoom….I am tired….good night!"
They call her back but she walks out smiling thinking about their story…….
As she enters the corridor of her floor, she sees Arjun standing at the far end where there is a small sit out area…..Her room was to that end almost near the sit out……She immediately thought up a plan….
She started sobbing loudly as she neared her room as if to seek his attention…..He turned around and saw her crying and entering her room quickly with her palm on her cheeks where he had slapped her…..
He didn't respond but he kept staring as she went in and banged the door shut behind her!

Half an hour later, she heard a knock at her door……
She looked through the hole to find Mr Akdu standing right outside her room….
She opened the door….."aap yahaan? Kahi dhoosre gaal pe bhi nishaan chodhne ke iraadha nahi hai na?"
He didn't speak up but just held out a packet to her "apne gaal pe yeh ice pack aur ointment lagaa lo…"
Riya looked at him amused by his ways….."pehle taphad maarthe ho aur phir khud hi maram laathe hai, huh? So its your routine thing, haan??"
He didn't speak anything, so she continued with a shrug "okay! ab aa hi gaye hai toh khud maram lagaake jaahiyega…..come in!"
She was continuously stunning him with her daring attitude and guts….none spoke to him like that……nobody dared to play around with him like this….and this girl was doing all of that….
His strong glare could have pushed her down to the ground floor…..it was so intense and strong but the girl in front stood unmoved! But yes, she moved…she moved a bit to the side clutching the door as if asking him to get in……
