I have always believed that a person does things for a reason. At times those reasons makes sense and we accept them for what they are and we move on. And then there are times where we just don't accept them because they go against everything we morally believe in...

I am neither defending RK or expecting him to be forgiven so easily by Madhu! But then if we were to question everything he did vs everything he is currently doing, isn't there a balance somewhere? Aren't someone his reasons for doing what he did to Madhu coming into the lime light? He took revenge with Madhu, and why he took revenge is yet another mystery? Are his reasoning for taking revenge even acceptable? If they are not then what to make of him? Does he truly suffer from some mental disorder from the time his father committed suicide and felt abandon by his mother's remarriage? Weren't his insecurities out in open with Madhu from day one? How low would he have to go before his character can truly work towards some justifications for his actions? Should we just let let bigons be bigons and accept him for what he is...

Just some thoughts for sharing...

I have been wondering the same ever since he did a complete volte-face and ruthlessly rejected Madhu.
That he needs some kind of therapy became all the more evident when today, in a drunken stupor he tells her that even though it hurts, he's kind of ok with it.

Even she didn't know what to make of that . I agree, that the man has many yet unresolved issues which have scrambled his psyche. I had thought they would touch the subject of teh death of his father, his perceived abandonment by both his parents, sensitively and with depth, but bah! one lecture from Madhu was all it took and the track was dropped much to my disappointment.

I hope the drunken episode of today was just a regular anomaly in their life and a device used by the writers to reveal a bit of RK. There is no way one can even imagine a reconciliation of any sort before the man pauses to even acknowledge how far he has gone in his petty revenge.

Nina, I could not have agreed more with you! But I am just afraid that they will play his physic track and move towards redemption without any justification! They should have dealth deeply into his childhood and bring in his mother for some justification, yet they took the short cut and moved into the revenge track, I was as disappointed as you were!

Now I just dont know what to make of his character! You can't love him, you can't trust him so what can you really do with him...

Exactly!!

I expect he will fight again when conscious , fight himself. but the writers need to show more of his struggle with himself when hes lucid(if he is ever that) so as to not alienate him completely from the audience. Fine , the first part before revenge was all Madhu, but now they should show the vulnerable human part of Rk ,and not his smirking vicious larger than life persona.

People have already started becoming apathetic towards him. If even the rage against him is gone, the character will truly be left with nothing.

They should continue with the tone from the drunk episodes , meaning they should concentrate on unraveling him.

Nina, it's really sad that they would make her character so vulnerable towards him in the drunk state! It's almost like she is unraveling with him for no reason! They should concentrate on his vulnerabilities alone and not play with her guilt emotions!
