Subhash Kapoor will direct Munnabhai Chale Delhi

For all those who were eagerly waiting to see the affable Munnabhai again on the silver screen, here is some news for you. The third installment of the Munnabhai series titled Munnabhai Chale Delhi will be going on floor soon. The only twist in the tale is that Rajkumar Hirani (who had directed the first two parts in the series) will now be replaced by Subhash Kapoor, who has Phas Gaye Re Obama and the upcoming Jolly LLB to his credit.

Confirming this news, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra said that it was Raju Hirani's busy schedule for P.K.that led to his replacement. He added that he has seen Subhash's work and only after discussing with Raju and Abhijat Joshi (Munnabhai's scriptwriter), he felt that Subhash had what it takes to take the 'Munnabhai' franchise ahead. And as far as the lead 'pair' of the film is concerned, Sameer Rao (CEO- Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films) said that it will be Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi who will continue as Munna and Circuit in the film.

If the buzz is to be believed, then, Munnabhai Chale Delhi will go on floor later this year.
