Asad hurts her by a display of emotional retreat. Then, next day, he comes to her and asks for her father's pictures so that he can help her find him. Zoe lets off steam and asks him that why can't he just say that he cares about her.
Zoe's life is a Shakespeare-n tragedy and we know her desperation to find her father. And yet, the only three people who were in her prayers today were Asad, Tamaatar, Dilshad.
Asad tells Ayaan that its a difficult period for him when Ayaan, Dilshad and 'that guest' in my house are not talking to me. For Asad, Zoe has become his family- whether he admits it or not.
Dilshad bashes Haseena and that sari-waali Ursula for judging a woman's purity and her commitment to GOD on the basis of her clothes. The faith with which she says - Meri Zoya ka dil saaf hai aur uski rooh bilkul paak., shows that Dilshad has adopted Zoe as her family and no make up ki atrocious dukaan can come and bark at her.
But then...
Asad doesn't VOICE his feelings and breaks Zoe's heart a thousand times over. How will Zoe ever get to hear that he cares about her and loves her in the long run is a million dollar question. His uncaring care turns her into a weeping willow behind that tigress mode. Always by her side and on her side but never hers.
Dilshad puts her in a between the devil and deep sea situation by forcing Zoe to lie and hide things from Asad , for Rashid's sake. That too, at the moment, when Asad and Zoe's relationship is evolving into a bond of trust and emotional bonding. We can see the repercussion in the precap. Asad has a question and Zoe has tears.
Thorns & Roses, Asad's white abode is Zoe's home. If the tensions of Dilshad-Asad and her being caved in to make choices , Asad's fiercely protective and yet cold relationship with her , Najma's BFF bonding and her love for the house and its people are the roses , then, the shadows of Asad and kin's past , demons and the repercussions alongwith the choices she makes are the thorns.
I have said it before and i will say it again. This is Zoe's true home, the home that she has looked for all her life and if she is taken away from here , she will walk around with a strange weightlessness in her heart.
P.S- I LOVED how the issue of 'Libaas' was highlighted. And i applaud Dilshad for setting the record straight. God does not measure the length of their hijaab, their ghoonghats , HE only measures the purity of your heart. Choice of Libaas is our own faith but we have no right to comment on someone's character in juxtaposition with the clothes. Be it Islam, Hinduism or Christianity , God thinks the same everywhere.. Like Dilshie said, Paakeezgi rooh mein chaahiye, libaas mein nahiin. Even Asad needs to release the salwaar-kameez from his mind and understand that a pair of jeans and a cotton shirt can bottle up an equally clean soul.
P.P.S- Razia is not just a vamp - she is resident evil with a SADISTIC bent of mind and she derives pleasure from violence and villainy. Seene mein dil nahiin , deep freezer hogaa. 😲
Footnote : Ayaan and that aane waali salwaar-kameez are tests of AsYa and sooner or later , you have to deal with it , so look forward to it , always remembering that AsYa are SOULMATES. Ayaan had to become embroiled in this drama and today he also joined the gang. 😎
