KaJen,
Thanks for sharing. The show is safe... Not to worry! 😊

The BCCC had issued an advisory on portrayal of women on Jan 24 2012, that's more than a year ago. http://ibfindia.com/pdf/1348038254.pdf check the link.

They conduct regular sessions to sensitize creative folks on various issues... This is just one of them.

If thats the case then I guess there is no problem..I am happy as long as nothing negative brings QH in the limelight😃
Mods can close the topic then😊

I chose not to post this link this forum even as an update, but I see that not only was this posted to instigate trouble, other people have come here only to get ugly and continue fighting.

I am pleased that action has been taken. Shows will be safe; that's not the intent of BCCC. If people spent time really looking at what there intent is, then they would appreciate and respect the work they are doing.

thanks

I do agree with Aalia and did not appreciate the way you introduced this topic on the thread. I actually reported this tot he moderators as I feel that it was very distasteful. I believe this topic could have been presented her without the unnecessary comments that were clearly designed to rile up people and instigate more cyber bullying and arguments towards us.

I hope in future that you will understand that we will speak up until we are all allowed to express our viewpoints here regarding a matter that we are deeply concerned about. I understand this matter might be meaningless to you so i would appreciate if you would allow us to do what we need to do. The show is safe and our goal is never to remove a show but to hopefully do what is better for our entertainment industry and the public in general. If anything, only good will come out of these meetings.

Everyone plss take a chill pill ... This is a general meeting happening and not just because of one QH show ... This meeting was bound to happen on this date to discuss the overall content shown in both English and Hindi shows ... Its nothing to do with just this show ...

Meeting is not help to decide any fate of a show but to change certain contents if the jury finds it objectionable ... So plss dont jump to conclusions or start attacking any fan grp if they hv sent any such letter to BCCC ... Everyone has the freedom here to do what they feel is right ... So plss dont start blaming anyone...

The topic will b kept open with a hope that no fan grp will b blamed or mocked on this issue ... things can b discussed in a neutral mannerr and remember one thing BCCC is here to decide the contents in shows and not close down shows ...

QH Dev team

Here is the link

And guys, no need of making it a issue, it's a general meeting that has to follow up, it has nothing to do with the letter sent by fellow forum mates, so don't point fingers at them and please let us be in peace and not start the mud-slinging once again!
After the Dehli gang rape, IBF along with censor board has brought some changes and now they are planning to regulate the contents shown in TV as well as movies very seriously. So BCCC is meeting to discuss about the contents to be aired on TV and about the numerous complaints they have recieved till now!
As of January 2013, BCCC has recieved around 3441 complaints against various TV channels and their shows! So don't worry about Qubool Hai, nothing will happen, relax!

To save time here's the article you'd see on clicking the link:

"The Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC) will be hosting a sensitization session to discuss women issues for the creative/content teams of various channels and networks in Mumbai on March 14. The date was finalized in a meeting held on February 22 in the capital.

"The session will be chaired by BCCC chairperson Justice (retd) AP Shah along with Shabana Azmi, who is also a BCCC member. According to sources, the broadcasters will be shown videos of objectionable scenes from both English and Hindi shows at this meeting. After this, the BCCC members and the broadcasters will have a discussion on the areas which need to be addressed."
It's very clear that the meeting is to sensitize creatives about women issues, showing videos of objectionable scenes from many shows, and not just QH. So no specific targeting of any one show, just a way to make Indian TV shows more responsible. A welcome step, surely. 😊
