Kids are born actors: Rithvik Dhanjani
Rithvik Dhanjani talks about kids as actors
What was it about the show that appealed to you?
The first attraction of the show was its format. India's Best Dramebaaz will set a new benchmark - it's a property in itself. Secondly, it connects to kids and I've gone berserk with the kids on the show.
Have the kids surprised you?
Yes, they are so talented that it's unbelievable. I saw this five-six year old girl, at the Mumbai auditions, she blew my mind away. She comes on stage and says a 15-20 page monologue with perfect pauses and punches. I loved her performance and now I firmly believe that kids are born actors.
How is your equation with the kids?
I love them to death. These kids have become so comfortable with me that the minute they see me, they jump on me. They play with me like I am their toy! It's a different experience being with them. They make you vibrant and energetic.
Is it easy anchoring a kids' show?
Kids' shows don't require an anchor. They need somebody who is like them. You have to become a kid yourself and make them feel comfortable.
