Trust and faith are often used as interchangeable words by all of us but there is a subtle difference.

Trust is based on history, on facts

Faith is based on hope, its usually unseen

For example, we all trust the doctor or police to take take care of health or law related issues but we all have faith in God. Trust can be broken easily but faith is hard to shake.

Today's episode reflected these two subtle emotions very effectively

AsYa: Asad has always had a hard time trusting Zoya. It's based on his impression of modern women, her history of lying (wig, cricket match etc). Even Zoya doesn't trust Asad's temper, his reactions - all based on her history with him (slap, angry words) but today she proved that she has tremendous faith in him. Their scene in his bedroom was very well portrayed. Loved Surbhi's acting today. She expressed that despite their differences and dislike for each other, she has tremendous faith in him, just like Najma and Ammi do. He finally acknowledged her silently. That silent exchange was very beautifully acted by both actors. Loving the way AsYa are progressing in their relationship. Soon they will have both trust and faith for each other.

Dilshaad: I know there is a lot of discussion regarding Dilshaad's recent change in attitude towards Rashid. I think this is a classic example of the trust vs faith conflict. Does Dilshaad trust Rashid? Probably not. How can she? He abandoned her for another family 17 years ago but she has faith in him. She knows that he would never try to kill her. That's why she is defending him. I don't think she is desperate to get back with him. Yes, she still loves him but I doubt she would ever want to break Shireen's home. Asad doesn't trust Rashid and Dilshaad has full faith in him- that's the reason for the conflict.

Razia-Siddiqui: I think in Siddiqui's case, he does trust Razia because of her history of manipulating situations to their benefit but today for the first time, I thought, he didn't have 100% faith in her abilities. Deep down, he knows that they are both wrong. A thief can never have faith is what he is doing. Only an honest person has 100% faith.

Ayaan: Ayaan is at crossroads right now. Should he trust Asad like he has always done? We all know he has faith in Asad and will always continue to have so but has Asad broken his trust for the first time in their lives? Let's see how the brothers overcome this hurdle.

Yes, that's the conflict. Well said👏
Surbhi and karan enacted perfectly yet again. They started to communicate through eyes when they could not even understand each others words before!
Dilshaad - as much as I understand her faith in rashid, I am not liking the way she is behaving with asad. She should try to make him understand and make him her accomplice.
Ayaan-Asad relation is what I am looking forward most now. Overall, its an engaging drama that's going on!!!

I think Asya have always been better at communication silently (remember mangalpur, after zoya helped asad and ayaan meet)

Dilshaad has tried to reason with Asad. She even showed him all the papers Rashid had dropped off. We all know Asad- when he gets angry and has made up his mind about someone or something, it's very hard to convince him other. He is quite bull headed. We have seen him with Zoya many times. Dilshaad knows her son well

Wow..Thats very well written😊 I loved the Asad Zoya scenes today..The fact that the writers are resorting to such a realistic approach in establishing their emotional bond instead of the cliched stuff they normally show is really refreshing..Two people who are polar opposites falling for eachother after reaching a certain level of understanding is far more logical than them developing feelings based on nok-joks and eyelocks..I really hope Asad never misunderstands Zoya in the future and stands by her, come what may..
Regarding Dilshad, like i mentioned in other threads, she made no sense to me today..The fact that she is completely oblivious to Asad's pain and fails to see things from his perspective baffles me..She might believe he is not a murderer but what about the fact that he is guilty of arson and adultery..Didn't he marry Shireen and father Ayaan much prior to this fire accident? May be there is more to the story but how come she is so blind to his infidelity? How does she expect her son to trust a father who deserted them 17 years back and is still not willing to give any explanation apart from constantly repeating that he is not guilty?Am afraid that in her zeal to be a good wife. she is completely neglecting the duties of a mother..I don expect her to agree with Asad or his impulsive decisions..But as a mother, she knows how damaged Asad is on the inside and how the guy has practically dedicated his whole life for his ammi..Cant she have a heart to heart conversation with him and try to reason with him? How is slapping or throwing attitude going to help the situation in anyway? I still love Dilshad's character but it pains to see her going against her son for her coward of a husband

Hi, nice post..
Beautiful definition of trust and faith, really never thought this way..
Now that you have the two words in context, I can see how they are settings parallels in their relationship.
As for Dilshaad, I believe if Rashid didnt come the day of accident and she realized that he have been watching for them, then I dont think she would stand by him today. He broke her trust and faith both, but because of that meeting she knows he never left her himself. That changed the dynamics and the lost trust is back as she knows he always loved her just like she does..
Dont want to get into his reason for helplessness here, loving the writers so far so trust them to give me a valid one...
Extreme love or hate both can make you believe impossible, do impossible, as in case of Dilshaad and Asad ..
I would rather not talk about Siddiquis on it, they are just evil. Dont think love word is in their dictionary. Not even for their daughter.
Ayaan, lets see how he proceeds. He always trusted Asad and had faith in him. Looked at him beyond anyone, so dont think he will just loose that without understanding his reason..

loved yr post, though I felt theASYAscene could have been a little prolonged, just enough for him to grab the cup of coffee at least.
these two , if they get seperated even before theyfully acknowledge their feeling for each other are in for a heart break
