i don't get rashid

So initially Rashid was keeping the secret to avoid trouble for himself/his family. But now that I has been established that dilshad's shooting was related and the secret is out, why doesn't he just tell asad and dilshad the truth? I mean isn't it better to be known as an arsonist who left his family due to blackmail than a murderer who left his family for selfish reasons?

Also, how has Rashid not figured out that Razia is evil? He's been treating her and her husband with respect even though they have blackmailed him to stay. How can he be so idiotic and gullible?

Plus, razia said that because of the blackmail they got him to marry Shirin...that doesn't make sense since he had ayaan before najma and najma was one when this whole factory thing happened. Seems like Rashid cheated on Dilshad BEFORE the blackmail. Jerk!!

I don't blame Asad for wanting to shoot Rashid...the guy cheated on his mom, left the family but keeps leading his mom on, and now is found to be connected to dilshad's shooting with no excuse besides "this isn't what it looks like"...lameee.

Sorry for venting...I just hate rashid's character. So weak and stupid.
