Part 19 - The End

A week passed of Madhu working opposite Rohan. She never felt comfortable opposite him, but she did what she had to.

Madhu stared at Karan who was pacing back and forth.

"Finally! Today was Rohan's first episode air date. Can't wait to see what everyone thought!"

She smiled to herself as Karan spoke with excitement.

"Finally," she whispered under her breath.

"PLACES EVERYONE!"

"Wait Karan, can I go make a phone call?"

"No."

"TO MY MOM! I need to ask her something!"

"Oh, very well! Go ahead. You've got two minutes."

"Thank you!"

Madhu ran off set and stood alone on the side as she made a quick phonecall.

"Hi! Yes. Tonight at 10 pm. Yup the same studio. Oh, no problem! Yeah he'll be here."

She hung up the phone and ran back towards set.

"Kay, done!"

"PLACES! AND ACTION!"

"What's wrong Madhu?"

"Nothing…"

Madhu sat on the bed in their room as RK watched her quietly.

"Something's wrong."

"Yeah…YOU!"

"WHA?! CUT CUT CUT! Madhu! What are you doing?!" Karan yelled over at Madhu.

"I don't like the new guy!"

"Hey!" Rohan spoke in an offended voice.

"Well you'll have to get used to him."

"Hey Karan, what's the time?"

"9:59, why?"

"Can we take a break?"

"No. PLACES."

Just as Madhu and Rohan took their places again, paparazzi ran through the studio doors.

"WOAH WOAH WOAH, WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?!" Karan yelled out as they began to click pictures.

"Is it true that you've replaced RK?!"

"Yes! Did you not watch today's episode?"

"Did you hear about what all the fans have been saying?"

"No, why?!"

Madhu stood on the side smiling with an evil smile as the paparazzi surrounded Karan. She dialed a number and held out her phone.

"Did you hear your show lost all its viewers?"

"WHAT?! WAIT! Why am I answering you all?!"

"What are you going to do now sir?"

"Nothing! My shows going f…"

"Have you looked outside the studio yet?"

"What's outside the st…"

"Why'd you replace R…"

"SHUT UP! EVERYONE! SHUT UP!"

The crowd went silent as Madhu continued to hold her phone out in Karan's direction.

Karan stormed away from the paparazzi and stormed out of the studio. Madhu quickly followed and stood a good distance away from Karan. The paparazzi followed behind Madhu.

The instant Karan stepped outside the doors, he was covered in tomatoes.

"WHAT THE F…"

Karan rubbed his eyes and looked at the angry crowd in front of him.

"WE WANT RISHABH! WE WANT RISHABH! OUT WITH KARAN! OUT WITH KARAN!"

Madhu giggled and looked at Karan who stood frozen. For once he seemed weak.

"Fine. I QUIT. Happy? I'd like to see how all of you complete this stupid story. GOOD DAY!"

Karan stormed off and then Madhu put the phone to her ear.

"WE DID IT! DID YOU RECORD THAT? PERFECT! I'M COMING TO SEE YOU!"

Madhu hung up the phone and joined in on the cheering crowd. She walked towards an older man in the crowd.

"Mr. Chopra, are you sure you'd like to replace Karan?"

"Definitely! I've always wanted to take this story over."

"Thank you so much! I have to go somewhere!"

"Don't be late for shooting tomorrow! And remind Rishabh too."

"I won't!" Madhu shook his hand

"Wait, does that mean I'm not RK?" Rohan asked confused.

Madhu shook her head and ran off to her car.

Madhu came to a stop in front of a house and stepped out. She ran towards the door and before she could knock, it opened.

She pushed herself into Rishabh's arms.

"We did it Rish! We did it!"

He kissed her forhead and wrapped his arms around her.

"You did it Madhs…I love you."

She pulled away and looked up at him. He caressed the side of her face and smiled down at her.

"I love you too Rish…"

In the next moment, their lips had locked and she was in his arms. As they remained in their kiss, Rishabh carried her up to his room to celebrate their victory...
