A Little 4Lions Appreciation

So I went through a little phase of being completely irritated with 4lions - having being a previous fan of IPK I just didn't like the way things went down with that show. Now even though their shows do sometimes go down the drain after a year, I've come to notice one thing.

This is my 1st 4lions show so I cannot opine on the comparison. But I agree that both lead actors in this show are given superb roles and look who they have chosen to essay them. Ksg/surbhi doing total justice!!

I usually refrain myself from talking about people unrelated to QH but since u have talked about the production house and the characters,I'll take this opportunity to express what I feel about the present and past characters of all the 3 shows of 4LIONS that you have mentioned here.

I've never been a die-hard fan of 4lions eventhough I loved to watch both Geet and IPK.I always felt something missing in the 4lions shows but I really admired their creative efforts.PH did a very good job with both their shows.

But since I was and am still crazy about DMG, both the shows from 4lions could not reach upto my expectations.I didn't feel that I was watching something exceptionally new in the two shows.But still, I watched and loved the 2 shows(I was not a regular viewer though).
4Lions have definitely created epic characters be it Khushi,Geet,Maan or Arnav.
The characters had their own charm and it was really a treat to watch them.

But ever since Qubool Hai has got on-air,I've got hooked to it since day 1.The very first day of the show made it clear to me that this show is going to be completely different from all the other Indian shows I've ever followed.I'm so glad that 4lios didn't disappoint me.
Today,I can write 100 pages of appreciation for the PH just like I have done for Cinevestaas of DMG.

KSG -This man can romance a wood and make a stone weep for sure.The brilliant acting skills of KSG leave me mesmerised.I find no match to KSG in the whole television industry.It's really sad that Bollywood and Hollywood have not realized his worth yet.

The best part about Asad Ahmed Khan is that just like Armaan this character is also grey.Grey characters are the most practical ones for me as no human being is perfect.I really dislike this fact in the Indian shows where the son and daughter-in-law will be made PERFECT and idols for all others in the show and also for the audience.
Where do perfect people exist in real life?I've only known imperfect people in my life.To err is human.Isn't it?

I'm really happy to see both Asad and Zoya committing mistakes and then apologizing for the same as well.4lions have not only created a strong and powerful character of Asad but also an amazing heartwarming character of Zoya.
While Asad is a man whom any mother would wish to have as a son,Zoya is the girl next door.Zoya is the perfect example of today's modern,well-educated and independent girl.
Both the characters- Asad and Zoya are surely epic characters.
I agree with you in the fact that usually Indian shows focus more on female leads but I'm glad that we have shows like DMG and all 4lion shows where men are given equal importance or even more.
I really loved ur line where u said it's coz of 4lions that we have got such amazing shows and characters.I must say that 4lions are doing a fantastic job..
Hats off to them for their creative and innovative ideas.
Cvs are doing a marvelous job with Qubool Hai and I'm loving the way they are trying to promote the show and new twists and turns as well.
4Lions truly deserve a standing ovation for their excellent work.

4lions will always give EPIC male characters.

Watching todays episode all I could think of was that.

There was,

Maan Singh Khurana - from Geet - Gurmeet climbed to the epitome of success

Then what made me watch indian tv soaps:

Arnav Singh Raizada - From IPK - Barun Sobti went from, quite literally not a very well known actor to clearly one of the most famous actors of tellywood

and finally

Asad Ahmad Khan.

I've always been a fan of KSG; I loved the way he handled Armaan. And I was at first extremely skeptical as to if I would like KSG in this completely different avatar. But (in the words of Zoya) Ya Allah what was wrong with me? What was I thinking?

And it's just made me realise, all of these actors are amazing, fantastic actors but the only reason we can see such amazing acting abilities is because of the out of this world, mind-numbingly amazing character sketches that 4lions seem to have.

Usually it's always the female character that is well etched out and the male is somewhat redundant. But here both the main characters are so well sketched out that you can't not just stop and applaud their creative efforts.

So well done 4lions! 👏 You are the reason I got so into Indian tv soaps and you are the sole reason I continue to watch them.

4 lions start off with great planning, enthusiasm and once they start attaining good TRP, they run out of plots and start making blunders in characterization and story telling. Also, they never wrap the loose ends and that irritates me.

Whatever it is, they are good compared to many other PHs, so I do give them credit for that.

All telly PHs, watch out - Saraswathichandra is going to be something different if I have understood a little about SLB. He is an amazing story teller and is great at giving attention to details. I probably will watch that soap even if I don't like actors. I have no clue how good they are though. I had watched Gautam Rode (spelling) in teri meri love stories and wasn't very impressed, but SLB can make lot of mediocre actors to do a great job, so waiting for it.

Tbh me neither, after Geet ending on bad terms and then IPK they'd just left such a sour taste in my mouth that I really didn't want to watch their shows again. And look here I am making an appreciation post😆

And here I completely agree with you! Qubool Hai is their best yet! It finally seems as though they have learnt from their mistakes and actually put more effort into making a more well rounded story. Like in their previous shows some of the characters where left redundant but in this everyone has a backstory and I'm literally at the edge of my chair at the end of each episode. Now that deserves applause.

I'll be honest I didn't watch this from the beginning, I'm so bogged down by studying that I should not be watching soaps😆but I just couldn't stop myself and now I am good as gone with this one.

DMG!!! Aaahhh! DMG!😆There will always be that part of KSG that will just be Armaan Mallik to me. The crazy, blue eyed, basket wala Armaan Mallik. But moving on, my god I had forgotten how great an actor KSG is. Like I've just somehow come to appreciate him even more in Qubool hai, his expressions are so perfect! He's just perfection personified! The man knows how to do what he does best. I really feel bad that he didn't make it in Bollywood but hopefully there are bigger and better things out their for him.

I totally agree! That is one of the perks of 4lions, when DMG aired I was pretty out of touch with my true phangirl side so I didn't look too into the production house but they were equally amazing and I hate that they didn't make more like DMG. Like I'm watching it from the beginning again (yes guilty! :P) and I want to be in DMG, aah I just love that soap! But yes that's what got me attracted to each of these; the grey shades. It would be better if more indian serials introduced these aspects. Grey chracters are equally as likeable and more relatable than perfect ones. No one is perfect and as much as I would love to appreciate two characters that where like living avatars of angels, there is just that extra little spice from a flawed character.

There is nothing I like more than a flawed character and I guess that's why I loved all of these shows. Yes A doll factory burning and blah and blah may not be real but the characters, their traits, their actions, their every flaw adds to the quality of them. It makes them more believable. I don't want to appreciate characters I want to understand them and that is what I'm getting. That is what I like.

Thank you for offering your view it was a very interesting read. I really hope too that 4Lions continues like this and don't let this show go down the drain. It had too much potential and a solid plot.

And yes I forgot to mention that, please don't take this as me trying to offend anyone, or any show, I was simply expressing my opinion😊.

You made me crave for my beloved desire-Armaan Riddhima and DMG.I'm going to watch the confession scene of KASH and KAJEN again.It was DMG indeed where the male character was focussed upon for the very first time and people loved the male lead more than the female for a change.😆Grey shades trend again was set up by our very own DMG.
but anyways let's not talk about DMG here.😆

Armaan Malik and Asad-I love them both but I love Armaan a little more.He is my desire..koi mujhe ek Armaan la do plz.. 😆
CVs have done a wonderful job with QH.I think Gul has done lots of homework on her previous shows to see what were the positive and negative steps from their side because Qubool Hai is simply flawless.the story telling has been done in a beautiful manner indeed.
4Lions have come a long way today.I'm loving the way PH is giving us back to back promos,press conferences,articles,SBS and other interviews to hold on our interest and develop curiosity for the upcoming tracks.
4Lions surely receives lots and lots of appreciation.

I think 4lions does a very good job. When Geet was on-air, it wasthe most loved couple. Then came IPK which beat geet records and now it's QH and I am sure even QH will reach/beat IPK trps. We all know how much IPK was loved by the fans and the actors themseleves gave credit to the creatives and director. 4lions is best at creating romantic drama and investigation serials, so they brought together both in QH making Asad n zoya investigators.
