Are you refering to the genre?...It would be vampires, were wolves, shapeshifters, angels, witches/warlocks, fae, sidhe, people with unusual abilities.
Karen Marie Moning, Sherillyn Kenyon, Kresley Cole, Anne Rice, Christina Feehan are some of the best writers in that genre. (These are much darker tales than twilight)
I like them because they almost always add an another dimension to the story or complexity to character. A dominant persona that is not humane and is in constant battle with thier humane characterstics.
You can see why RK's character fascinates me so much.

Thanks so so much for this recco. Flipkart is going to be very happy soon.
Looks like you are an avid reader. What other genre do you prefer?

Whether RK was faking his love then or his hate now, one thing is for sure. Madhu affects his senses as much as he affects hers. They still seem to feel each other's presence even before they can see each other. The black screen which came between them just as RK turned to se her is symbolic of the dark clouds which have gathered in their relationship. They were briefly encased in their own little world when the white dupatta covered them up. It was a world so pure as the colour of the dupatta but it was RK who roughly removes it and throws it away much like how he destroyed their world by his actions. There is no doubt he still cares for her, as was seen as his instinctive call to her but his king sized ego (or whatever mysterious reason he is hiding for this unexplainable or for that matter inexcusable behaviour) is coming in the way.
He burst the heart shaped balloon much like the way he broke her heart which was inflated with love for him. Would she be able to burst his inflated ego? In a way he helped her by setting free the love she had for him. Like the air which was trapped in the balloon is now free to float where it wants, she is now free to lead her life in her own terms. She does not have to follow his whims and fancies. She was prepared to sacrifice everything for him because of her love for him. He has pushed her away and allowed her to grow her own wings to fly (whether intentionally or otherwise). Coming to the half baked interview, it revealed to the viewers more than it did to the interviewer. He declines the rose offered by the interviewer. He also tells her that he had raised her lion which died consuming a rose. Was this a reference to himself? RK the lion has been tamed by Madhu's love, the rose. Mr.India may not be a romantic film for the rest of the world but to him it is. Why? It is the reference to this film which first stirred up his feelings for her. Back in the days where he was still grumpy RK, Madhu had asked him to imagine her to be Mr. India while she was feeding him so that he cannot see her and only see the spoon which was feeding him. RK was touched by the act because it showed to him that she understood his need to not feel helpless and that too in front of his almost wife. The next crucial moment in which Mr.India played a part was after he catches Mallik trying to attack him and Mallik aburptly leaves his house, Madhu misunderstands that he had insulted him. He sulks and goes to watch Mr.India film. Madhu comes up to ensure he takes his medicine. During their interaction while watching the movie, he gets to know how much Mallik means to him. He held the truth of the attack because he couldn't see her hurt by her father's act. Another instance when the film brought him close to her.
The third instance when the film was reffered to was after the KC when he tries to feed her breakfast and when she refuses, he asks her to imagine he was the invisible Mr. India while he was feeding her. She then puts her foot in the mouth when she says that he did not have his magical disappearing watch when he insisted that he accompanies her to the washroom. When he retorts that what if he had it on she turns red in shame.
The fourth reference to Mr. India was when they both sang the song from the film during Pads-Shammo wedding and RK openly admitted to being in love with her.
So for RK the film was indeed a romantic movie for it weaved in romance into their lives.
The final scene of yesterday's episode where both are in agony hearing the first song they danced to again underlined the fact that these two are connected. Although many here felt that Madhu closed her ears to try shutting off the song, if you see the scene carefully, she shuts her ears at the precise moment that RK throws the glass and shatters it. It is as if she could hear the shattering of the glass and hence she instintively closed her ears. This scene is the reverse of the one where she screams out his name and he wakes up from his sleep. They may be miles apart but are still very much in each other's lives.

Honestly anything and everything...I am a speed reader so I get through books very fast...
I am particularly fascinated with romance and biblical mysteries/code based thrillers (like Dan Brown) or anything that has to do with ancient and mediveal history.
@Ananya: I have no idea why twilight became such a big hit...I could barely get through the first one...Belle's character drove me crazy.
The writers mentioned above are much more darker and umm...adult oriented I guess. The characters are much more angsty and conflicted.
Karen has a highland series which starts with timetravel and warriors with fae blood...it leads up to fever series which has an immensely dark hero.Ties very closely to celtic folk lore and second invasion.
Anne Rice has a series of book on vampires...these are not romance per se...unapologetic and ruthless vampires (Interview of the vampire and Queen of the damned were based on her series)
Kresley Cole- creates a universe of supernatural beings at war with each other ...you have everything there from vampires to demons.
Sherilyn Kenyon has a series of books called dark hunters which is based on greek mythology...vampires warriors out to protect humanity led by Artemis.
Feehan has a series called dark carpathians- pure romance with alpha males from a different species (vampires).
I can recommend many more series if you like based on your taste ...feel free to PM me.
Sorry Shri...will refrain from chatting

I believe you will agree that as people from various Timezomes may still trickle in on fresh read basis, for them skimming through pages of nothing will be irksome. A little bit of chatting is always permissible in ED thread as excitement flows. But lingering discussion beyond hours of watching the episode means it has become more of a hang-out place. Not bad if you ask me...when you see trust and comfort building up between buddies.

Me and my friends go to chat forum and chat via a CC thread to keep in touch with each other and talk anything unrelated to MB show, but yet to have a meaningful time with buddies.

You and your select buddies can make use of that mode on IF to chat with each other. Lot of people use it. After opening it, you will need to send Invites to each other with the link over pm mode.
