Hey guys I'm really sorry for the late update. This chapter is not my best, and it is kind of rushed but I wanted to get it out. Hope you guys like it. 😳 Just to answer a question that was asked to me, the reason I don't use pet names when TaaRey are speaking to each other is because I'm personally not fond of pet names. I'll try to use it if ya'll want, but I can't promise to use 'baby' or 'princess' or stuff like that a lot because I just don't like pet names. 😳 As ya'll have probably guessed Psych is my favorite show and the bracelet that you'll see was actually my valentine's day present 😳Again really sorry it's rushed, and I really hope you like it. 😊

Chapter 8: Psych
In the morning Swayam had woken up early to make sure to get out of the house without waking Taani up. He looked at the time, it was already 7 and he knew that Taani would be awake at 8. He knew he wasn't supposed to wish her for her birthday, but he was her older brother, he couldn't help it.
Going into Taani's room he smiled seeing Taani's blanket off the bed. It was just like when they were kids, he would always make sure that Taani had her blanket on when he woke up. Walking over he carefully tucked his sister into bed and gave her a kiss on the forehead, "Happy birthday meri pagal behen. I know it's selfish of me to say this, but I'm glad that you're staying with me instead of your Dad. You are my little girl Taani, my little sister and I love you a lot. Happy birthday." He whispered tucking her in before he left.
When Swayam left Taani sleepily opened her eyes. Even though she was still in a deep sleep she heard what her brother said and smiled knowing that he still hadn't changed his habit of coming to make sure her blanket was still wrapped around her, "Love you too Bhai." She yawned as she fell asleep again.
When Taani woke up later she felt happy and excited. It was her birthday. She got up stretching and ran to the bathroom to get ready quickly. It was the first time she was going to spend her birthday with Rey, her boyfriend, not Rey her enemy. She smiled into the mirror as she got out of the shower. It was something that she had been doing since her first date with Rey, smiling.
When she walked out of the room she automatically checked her phone and frowned when she saw no one had called or texted her. She tried calling Rey but his phone was switched off, same with Swayam, and Sharon.
When she called Aashi it went straight to voicemail. She walked out of her room with a frown and went to the kitchen to get something to eat. She saw a cup of coffee already made for her so she warmed it up and drank it.
She tried calling them once more and then got up in anger when no one picked up her call. "How can they forget one day. And Rey, main usse, ugh!" Taani said as she grabbed her bag and left the house. "Those boys better have the song ready today, I am not in the mood." Taani said as she hauled a taxi to school.
"Alright guys is everything ready?" Rey asked for the billionth time as everyone rolled their eyes.
"Yes Rey everything is ready." Swayam said pushing him to the side.
"I want this to be perfect for her." Rey said smiling at the decorations.
"It will be." Swayam said.
"She should be here soon guys, hurry up." Swayam said as they all got back to work.
Taani walked into college in anger and went straight to rehearsal hall only to see the lights shut off.
"Rey," Taani spoke out a little freaked out by the dark. "Sid, Vicky, Nil?" she asked. "Ya'll better have a song done perfectly today, you can come out now and show me." Taani stopped what she was saying when the lights opened and she saw the entire gang and the entire room decorated.
She looked at the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" banner and immediately smiled.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" They all yelled each giving her a hug.
"What you guys planned this?" Taani said with a big smile on her face.
"It was technically your boyfriend's idea." Aashi said grinning at her.
Taani looked at Rey, her smile widening at the moment, and mouthed an 'I love you' to him as her other friends wished her.
"Surprised right? Do you know how hard it was for me to not call you and wish you." Rey said wrapping an arm around her waist. "Swayam made sure that none of us could wish you." Rey said. Taani looked at her brother and smiled, she knew that none of them knew that Swayam had wished her and she knew that her brother thought that she was asleep.
"Alright, alright now let's get this party started!" Sharon said cheering. "As of right now all you are going to get is presents but tonight, we have planned something that, well that screams Taani." Sharon said. "Your brother, Rey, and Aashi made the perfect plan for tonight."
"Which is why you guys were pretending to be worse then you already are at singing yesterday, so I would get fed up and leave." Taani said realizing their plan.
"Yeah," Rey said rubbing his neck.
"But we weren't expecting you to give us homework." Sid said with a sore face before laughing as he saw Taani laugh.
"Time for presents!" Nil yelled wanting Taani to open the gift from the guys first.
"No! Taani before you get any other presents we, us singers," Sid said pointing to the four boys including himself, "Want to show you something. This is a small present from us to you."
Nil smiled and said, "Yeah this one should be first."
The four guys stood in a line and Taani looked at them weirdly. She looked and saw the gang grinning.
They boys started as Nil and Vicky gave the main beat. She watched as the bounced their legs to the song.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, ah
She stood there with a smile as she realized what they were singing. While the three boys were giving the beat Rey started singing. "Oh my god." She said smiling not believing that they were doing this for her.
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity
Sid took over as Rey took a back beat.

Rey took over again as Sid joined the other two boys in the beat.

The four boys synced their voices and matched their pitch and as Nil gave the back beat and Vicky steadied another beat as Sid harmonized his voice to Rey's singing.

Sid, Vicky, and Nil kept matching their pitches as a back beat as Rey sang.

They all finished the last beat in perfect harmony.

Taani smiled and hugged them all. "I can't believe you guys actually were perfectly pitched to the Psych theme song!" Taani said extremely happy.
"Happy birthday," Rey said grinning at how happy she was.
"Our turn!" The girls said as they pulled Taani away from Rey and sat her down. They took out a small box wrapped nicely with a ribbon on it. Taani looked at them perplexed and opened the box and gasped.
"Aw!" Taani said not helping the tears that sprung in her eyes. In the box was a thick scrapbook that had all of the memories she shared with the girls ever since she moved to Mumbai. "Thank you." Taani managed to get out before she was attacked into hugs by each of the girls.
"We all worked on it together so it'd be perfect for you." Aashi smiled at her.
Then the boys decided to give her their present. It was in a gift bag and Taani took out a beautiful silver charm bracelet that had each letter of the word P.S.Y.C.H as a green charm and a pineapple charm on it. "I love it." Taani said with a smile as she immediately put on the bracelet and showed it to them.
The boys grinned and said, "We're glad you liked it."
Swayam was the last to give his present, he walked over with a large rectangular looking thing and handed it to Taani grinning. Taani opened it and jumped up from her seat. "Bhai is this what I think it is?" Taani asked him.
"Yup." Swayam said grinning.
"How?" Taani said not having any words to say.
"Tumhara Bhai hoon main," Swayam said smugly as he saw the various different expressions of happiness and shock go through her face.
"Bhai, this is a Psych poster that is signed by James Roday and Dule Hill. How did you?" Taani said again finally being able to form her words. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Taani said hugging her brother tightly.
"You're most welcome meri pagal behena. Now you can't say that I don't appreciate Psych's meaning in your life." He said laughing as his sister stared at the poster in awe.
"I'm going to have this laminated." Taani said to herself as the rest of the gang cracked up at her craziness.
"So we should get to class cause yeah." Nil coughed out awkwardly as the gang scurried and left Taarey alone together.
Taani laughed at them and turned to Rey and immediately ran into his arms hugging him tightly. "Thank you Rey." She said as she buried her face into his neck.
"I love you." Rey said tightening his arms around her. "I have something for you." Rey said pulling away and lacing his fingers with hers.
"Rey no more gifts, you have me the best gift by just being in my life." Taani said not believing that she could have such an amazing boyfriend.
"This gift is from me." Rey said holding out a tiny box.
Taani gave him a surprised look and almost stopped breathing when she opened it. Inside was a beautiful pair of royal blue diamond dangling earrings.
"The first date we had you wore that beautiful royal blue dress and these earrings reminded me of them and I knew I had to get them for you." Rey explained as he watched Taani admire the earrings.
"Rey I can't accept these, they look so expensive." Taani said handing the box to him.
Rey rolled his eyes and pushed the box back at her, "Taani nothing is too expensive for you. These earrings have real royal blue diamonds, you have to take it." Rey said.
"But Rey," Taani tried to say but Rey cut her off by saying, "I love you Taani."
"I love you." Taani smiled as they held hands and went off to class.
That afternoon the entire gang was at the rehearsal hall while Rey, Taani, Sid, and Aashi finished their routines.
"We need to decide costumes." Rini said as they sat down for a break.
"For ours I think I have an idea." Taani said looking at Rey. "If we are following our theme then Rey's costume has to be the darkest color, black because he is the epitome of evil in this act. But I'm portraying a broken, bleeding heart so I was thinking red for myself."
"And maybe we can add a strip of red to Rey's costume so it'll show the clear cut contrast." Rini said as the gang looked at her and nodded, knowing that Rini was the one who was going to be making the costumes.
"Where are Bhai and Sharon? I haven't seen them since the morning." Taani suddenly asked.
"This is Swaron we're talking about, where do you think they are?" Vicky said snickering as they all laughed.
"Taani, can I talk to you." They all turned to see Ram at the door. Taani looked at Rey who looked ready to kill him and she blinked at him to calm him down as she went out to meet her dad.
"Yeah Dad." Taani said forcing a small smile on her face.
"Happy birthday beta." Ram said with a big smile.
"Thank you." Taani said politely not waiting till she could get back to her friends.
"Taani, main soch raha tha, if you want you can spend your birthday with me and Sheila." Ram said making Taani want to fake gag.
"No thanks, I've got plans." Taani said as she went to turn around.
"Taani don't forget that I will make this work." Ram said and Taani noted that his tone when he said 'this' wasn't exactly pleasant.
"Right Dad." Taani said before she rushed back into the rehearsal hall.
When Taani came back to rehearsal hall Rey was already on his feet ready to ask what happened. Taani smiled at the concerned look on Rey's face and allowed herself to snuggle herself into his embrace.
"I'm okay." Taani said burying her face into Rey's neck.
"Let's get outta here! You're surprise is done." Rey said grinning as he saw her look around and realize that her friends were already probably in the locker rooms.
"They left?" Taani questioned as she saw Rey give her an amused look.
"You were too wrapped up in my arms to realize." Rey said with a smirk noticing how Taani rolled her eyes at him.
"Yeah, yeah hotshot let's go." Taani said following him towards his car.
When Taani got home she was shocked to find what had happened to her house. "Bhai," She said in disbelief as all her friends piled into the house.
"This is our surprise for you Taani, we're going to play laser tag for your birthday!" Swayam said excitedly as he put on his gear.
"What?" Taani said excitedly as she ripped her gear out of her brother's hands.
Swayam chuckled and said, "I see that you like this idea."
"Thank you Bhai." Taani said grinning widely as she hugged her brother and put on her gear like the rest of the gang.
"Guys we still have to decide teams." Sharon said pulling everyone back from their excited chattered.
"That's easy captains are Rey and Taani." Nil said grinning. Like all of their previous games it was always Rey and Taani who were captains, because their natural fuel added in the competition.
Rey looked at Taani who grinned at him and raised an eyebrow. "Game on." They both said grinning.
"Taani since it's your birthday you get to pick your team first." Rey said with a smile knowing that they didn't have to pick teams, their teams had been decided from a long time ago.
"Bhai, Rini, Vicky, Neha, and now Sid welcome to our group." Taani said.
"Cool that leaves Sharon, Simi, Aashi, Nil, and Amar with me." Rey said.
"Let the games begin." TaaRey said as everyone yelled and ran around trying to get the opposite team out.
Taani ran around towards her brother's room having successfully taken out Simi. She had been looking out for the opposite team. She already saw her brother and knew he was alright. Her phone buzzed and she saw Rini's text, I'm out.
Taani heard someone's footsteps and she jumped as she tried to find a place to hide. She ran towards the pillar by her room only to have her arm grabbed as she was pulled into someone. She recognized Rey's touch as he pushed her against the wall and covered her as he made sure that Nil had left.
"What are you doing?" Taani said only to have her words cut off by Rey.
Rey's hand flew over her mouth as she stared at him in disbelief. "Oomfph!"
"Taani sh! If they hear us we'll both be dead in two seconds." Rey whispered as he peeked over the wall of the hallway to make sure the coast was clear. Once he saw no one was there he let his hand drop.
"What are you thing Rey? We're enemies." Taani glared only to be cut off my Rey's lips this time.
After kissing her Rey pulled away with a cheeky grin, "Sorry but you were being too loud, we could have been caught." Rey said with an innocent face and mischievous eyes.
"But we won't get caught by standing out in the open?" Taani said in disbelief, not believing that her boyfriend just kissed her to shut her up.
"You're right." Rey said with a look that screamed he had a plan.
"Rey what are you, ah, doing?" Taani said as Rey grabbed her arm and pulled her into her room. He locked the door behind her and trapped her against the wall. Smiling at her he kept leaning closer and closer.
"It's your birthday, and I have to share you with everyone." Rey said teasingly, "I don't think so." He said as he winked at Taani.
"Rey everyone is going to be looking for us." Taani said as she tried to stop herself from getting lost in Rey's eyes.
"Let them," Rey said leaning in even closer. Pushing a strand of hair behind Taani's ear Rey said with a cocky grin, "Besides I'm sure they're too busy playing the game to realize that we're gone." And with that he placed his lips on Taani's again. Taani smiled and gave into the kiss allowing herself to get lost in Rey. When they pulled away Rey kissed Taani's forehead and freed her from the wall.
"Rey aap na bilkul pagal hai." Taani said as she grabbed his hand and sat on the floor by her bed.
"Sirf tumhare liye." Rey said grinning as Taani rolled her eyes at his filmy dialogue.
"Thank you Rey." Taani said leaning into the warmth of this body.
"Thanks for what?" Rey asked her.
"For today, it was the best birthday I could have ever asked for." She said wrapping her arms around him.
"I love you." Rey said but before they could continue their conversation Rey's phone buzzed. "Nil has been killed off and it looks like Swayam, Sharon, Aashi, and Sid are the only ones besides us left in the game." Rey said reading off the text that was sent to him.
Taani looked at her phone and said, "Nope, just Bhai, Sharon, and Sid now."
"Looks like we're winning." Taani said with a cocky grin. Rey smiled and got up helping Taani up as well.
"You don't know Sharon she will win." Rey said with confidence.
"Rey you don't know Bhai, we come from a very competitive family. Even though he is sweet, once he's in the game he is competitive as hell." Taani said with confidence as well.
"Aashi's out." They both said getting the message at the same time.
"May the best man win." Rey said grinning at the fact that he used man to defend himself.
"Actually, the woman will win." Taani said smirking at him.
They both got ready to leave Taani's room knowing that in a few minutes their friends will be come running to find them. But before they could win Rey snaked an arm around Taani's waist and pulled her into him. Caressing her face with his hand he softly placed a passionate, slow kiss on her lips. Rey couldn't help but put his hand through Taani's soft hair stopping at her neck as he pulled her in closer, deepening their passionate kiss. Taani sighed into the kiss and tightened her arms around Rey's neck as she lost herself in the kiss. When they pulled apart Rey put Taani's head gear over her eyes and kissed her nose, "Game on beautiful." He said as he left the room first.
Taani watched Rey leave and went down the other corridor so she wouldn't be caught. Her phone buzzed and she found out that Swayam and Sharon had both shot each other, so now the game was even match, it was her against Rey. Walking with her laser gun in her hands pointing at empty corridor, she did what she dreamed of doing since she was a child. She stood pressed against the wall and held her gun out, looking out to the corridor like a cop. Once she saw no one was there she held her gun up in ease and said, "Clear," like she'd seen been done on many cop television shows.
Walking towards the end of the hall Taani saw Neha and went over. "Do you see Rey anywhere?" Taani asked her. Neha shook her head and Taani followed her out to the living room where the rest of the gang was. Taani looked around and saw Rey standing with Sharon.
"Attack!" Nil yelled as Rey came out ready to shoot. Before she knew it Taani jumped over the couch and rolled on the ground using the couch as her cover. Feeling the adrenaline rush in her she crawled over to the edge of the couch as the rest of the gang cheered loudly for their respect team captains. Looking over the edge of the couch she saw Rey hiding behind the table and she took that chance to dash out of the room.
The second Taani ran she knew that Rey was hot on her tail following her down the corridor. Even though she knew she couldn't outrun him and soon enough Rey was able to grab onto her arm and pull her into him. Stuck in Rey's embrace Taani couldn't free herself and she watched as Rey's cocky grin widened on his face.
"Looks like I know who the winner is going to be." Rey said with a grin as he felt Taani struggle in his embrace.
Pulling away Rey smiled and said, "Shoot me."
Taani looked at him confused and said, "What?"
"C'mon shoot me before they come looking for us." Rey said again taking off his eye gear as a sign of surrender.
"But," Taani started to say knowing that he wanted to win.
"Taani if you win I'll automatically win seeing that beautiful victory smile." Rey said with a smile as he lightly pushed Taani's bangs away from her eyes.
Taani smiled and kissed Rey's cheek and shot him with her laser gun. His jacket made the sound of a person getting out and they both smiled as they heard their friends scream in excitement. Taarey laughed and held hands as they walked towards the living room.
When they came out they saw their friends laughing and teasing each other. Taani watched as Swayam raised his eyebrows at Sharon and danced rubbing his victory in her face. Taani laughed as she joined her team and jumped up and down.
"Okay, okay now that this is over as we planned losers are paying for Taani's birthday dinner." Rini said grinning as she hugged Taani.
Sharon groaned but smiled, "Alright let's get dressed, we girls have a lot to do before we're ready for dinner."
Taani looked at her gang, her brother, and her boyfriend and smiled. This was the best birthday she had ever had. And the only thing she could wish for was having them all in her life for as long as she lived.
