Pinky & Geet share a great bond & Pinky leaving for her marital home will affect Geet emotionally. Great that Geet realized she can't be physically away from Maan, hope they find a solution where her career dreams her not affected & they remain close too. But then l have heard distance increases love😊

Beautiful part 85...😊
So much so happening simultaneously at different levels, in each ones lives who are directly or indirectly related.Loved Geet - Pinky bonding. Friendship described at its best... Awesome & out of the world relation these two share. Two besties happy for each one for the new journey their lives are embarking on yet fearful & apprehensive of not having the other at arms length to hug and share happiness or to hold & lean onto the shoulder that comforts in times of despair. Their sharing of stuffs & apprehension about their partners was so touching... it did touch a cord...👏 😊The father-son hug was so needed & well presented... Manish -Maan sharing of a friendly convo & on par equal status in thoughts showed the depth of their realtion inspite of all the issues they had earlier... Loved how Manish brought it all out in front of Maan about his testing & pride of having an able succesor to him...👍🏼Dev - Shasha have progressed for the better... & I can't tell you actually how much relieved & happy that makes me feel...😉Pammi sure is in for a nasty & shocking events to come in future ... especially from her Son...Waiting for more...😊
"Dil laga liya, maine tumse pyaar karke, tumse pyaar karke, tumse pyaar karke, la la la la, something something ho, hmm hmm, oh ho ho, hmm hmm... where did my shower gel go?"
The shower was turned off as the occupant tried to locate the missing shower gel. Amidst the mystery, a familiar ringing noise was heard from the bedroom.
"Damn, I wonder who this is now."
Stepping out of the cubicle, a towel was wrapped around the body before the footsteps padded onto the cold tiles, then the plush carpet of the bedroom.
The phone was grabbed from the bedside table and swiped open, before the caller was greeted with a: "Maan Singh Khurana speaking."
...
"Devendra! What's taking you so long, we'll end up being late!"
Dev gritted his teeth as he fixed his tie in the mirror. He had revered Pammi's presence, because she was all he had, and despite her cold demeanour, the woman had brought him up single handedly - a feat to be admired and respected in any woman.
But slowly, the mask from Pammi's face was slipping off, & he was beginning to see the true colours that everyone else already knew of, the colours which he turned a blind eye too because she was his mother and he felt she could do no wrong.
"Your tie is wonky," Pammi stepped forward to adjust it as usual, and it took all of Dev's strength to force a smile in his face and not confront her there & then.
Patience and perseverance, he told himself. When the time is right, then everything will fall into place.
...
"When's your last day at KC?" Pinky asked as she sipped on a cup of tea whilst arranging for the last of her boxes to be taken away by the removal service that her husband had sent.
"Friday," Geet was too absorbed in a home decor magazine to pay proper attention.
"Hmph, charming," Pinky said with mock anger. "I've not even left yet and you're already looking at new decor."
"I'll need pieces to fill up the spaces that your endless clutter will have left behind."
There was a knock on the door, & Pinky opened it to let the removal men step in & carry the boxes out.
"You're leaving for Yash's now, right?"
"That's the plan, once I've taken all the boxes."
Geet leapt off the stool. "I'm coming with."
"What about work?"
"I'm sure Maan wouldn't mind if I turned up at lunchtime."
"So kissing the boss entitles you to flexible hours now, eh?" Pinky winked.
"It's only right that I'm there for your housewarming morning. Unless Yash has other plans in mind..."
Pinky flushed a scarlet red & scurried out of the room, but not before she smiled at Geet's remark of how marriage had turned her from being promiscuous into a chaste woman.
...
"What the hell Yash?"
Yash cringed at Maan's annoyed tone; he had suspected his best friend wouldn't be too pleased about being kept in the dark.
"Look Maan, I can understand your anger. I would feel the same. But the thing is, we wanted it to be something intimate and special, and-"
"I'm just joking, calm down," Maan laughed from the other end of the phone, & Yash relaxed as he smiled. "I mean, I wanted to give you a best man's speech where I'd list all of your conquests in bed but I guess you got out of that one successfully. Congratulations."
"Cheers. If you can spare some time away from eyeing up your secretary, then come over for a while. The wife is due here soon, we'll make you breakfast in compensation for missing the wedding."
"I don't think Dad would be too pleased..."
"Geet can make a note of whatever work reaches your office for you to complete tomorrow. Or you could go back in the afternoon if your services are urgently required."
Maan contemplated his choices, then sighed. "Alright, I'll be there in half an hour."
"See you then."
...
On their way over to Yash's in the cab ride, Geet had tried Maan's phone in order to let him know that he wouldn't make it in the morning, but his phone was busy with another call, so she'd left a message with the KC receptionist to pass onto him.
The cab pulled up outside Yash's, and Pinky almost leapt out of the cab, dashing for the front door.
"Jeez, one night apart and it's like she's not seen him in forever," Geet mumbled to herself as she paid the driver, but deep down she was truly delighted that her friend had found her life partner.
Looking at the newly weds on the porch, who were now locked in a tight hug, flashbacks came back of her first kiss with Maan the night Pinky had been hiding away. She felt a blush creep up but shook the thoughts away from her head as she walked up the path to join the Singhanias in their new home.
...
Maan had left a message with Dadima that he had some errands to attend, and that he would be back at KC in the afternoon. Dashing out of the front door, he breathed a sigh of relief once the driver had pulled out from the Khurana gates.
Manish had briefly asked about the break in last night, & Maan had tentatively replied with a '"It's all under control." He had expected his father to further question him on the situation, but to his surprise Manish had curtly nodded and retreated to his bed.
The feeling that something was being hidden from him had kept nagging at his mind, but he pushed those thoughts aside as he asked for the car to be stopped outside a florists. He chose a bouquet for the newlyweds, then bought a bottle of the finest champagne, before heading off to Yash's place.
...
Pammi was struggling to keep her fury under control as she sat in her office, watching the bustle of KC like another day.
"This place would have been in ruins if my plan would have succeeded," she grimaced, digging her lengthy nails into her palms.
She sat up, adjusting her sari as she watched Manish strode by her glass window, absorbed in a file.
But the knowing glance he shot her way for a second before his face disappeared with his stride had said it all.
Her anger simmered like a boiling pan & then burst as she swiped off the contents of her desk with a swift movement.
Drastic actions would have to be taken now, or else the only person who was going to lose out was herself.
...
Her brunette locks swished from side to side as the spring in her step oozed confidence. Her heels clicked against the floor as she took the route up to the top floor.
Several heads turned her way, some of them whispering in astonishments and passing each other questions back & forth, the answers of whom the lady in question only possessed.
She walked down the corridors until one office came into view. A small smile lingered at her ruby red lips as she pushed the door open, leaning against the frame as she dropped her handbag to the floor.
Dev stood up from his desk, adjusting his glasses. He stepped forward a few feet, then smiled.
"Sasha. You're back."
She walked into his office, letting the door swing shut behind her. "Yes I am."
...
Geet had been seated at the dining table, opposite Yash & Pinky whose linked hands rested atop the marble top. They were awaiting a most delicious breakfast as promised by Yash, as prepared by his kitchen staff.
"There should be a 30 day trial of marriage," Geet suddenly spoke. The Singhanias looked at her with bewildered expressions.
She leant across the table, pushing the vase of flowers aside so they could see her properly. "Think about it. When we subscribe to a service, we get free trials, right? Try before you buy. Marriage is a life long subscription, with the spouse being the service. There should be a 30 day option, with an opt out at anytime scheme. If you feel that it's not for you, then walk away."
"I believe the opt out at any time scheme is called divorce," said Yash.
"Yes, but then the marriage itself binds you, like a prisoner to a chair, so that even if you do want to escape, the ropes hold you back. Sure, you're free to get divorced, but so many problems arise from it, don't you think?"
Yash looked at Pinky who reassured him with her eyes that this was Geet simply being her usual self.
"But, if the 30 day trial existed, then there'd be no problems. If someone asked you why you didn't fully subscribe, you could simply say you didn't like it."
The doorbell rang, and one of the servants dashed to open it.
Geet shrugged her shoulders. "Life would be so much simpler if it was lived the Geet Handa way."
"Really?" said the voice from the door, & Geet's eyes widened in surprise as she turned to look at the entrant.
...
Manish was irked at Maan's sudden absence. He had a mental note to remind his son that he hadn't taken a day off since his positioning as CEO 20 years ago.
He took a right turn towards his son's cabin and opened the door, ready to hand over a file to the secretary, Geet.
But she was nowhere to be seen either.
Perplexed, he asked a few of the employees if they'd seen her. When they replied with murmured no's, he asked the receptionist - who informed him of Geet's phone call that morning.
Manish had a flashback of Maan & Geet accompanying each other last night, and his frown went even deeper into his forehead.
"This is not a Bollywood movie that they should swan off to romance when the need arises," he bellowed to no one in particular as he strode back into his office.
...
The foursome tucked into a breakfast of toast, pancakes with cream and strawberries, parathes, several exotic fruits and French croissants as they idly talked about holiday destinations.
Maan was narrating one of his university trips to Italy, when his phone began to ring. One glance at the caller ID and he dropped his fork as he gulped before answering.
"Yes, Dad?"
"Bring yourself and your secretary to KC within the next 15 minutes, or there will be hell to pay for."
Maan shoved his phone back into his pocket as he grabbed Geet's wrist, which had a croissant in her grasp, and ran out of the house.
"What the- Maan, let go of me! I haven't finished my croissant! You do not disturb me when I'm eating!"
He shoved her into the back of the Mercedes, opening the other door for himself.
"Maan, what's going on?" Yash called from the door, Pinky stood behind him.
"I'll explain later, if you want to see us alive then let us go!"
The passenger door slammed shut & the car sped off.
...
Geet brushed her now finished croissant crumbs off her lap, and then she turned to glare at Maan. He felt her eyes bore into the side of his face.
He rolled his eyes as he answered her unspoken question. "Dad found out we've both taken the morning off, at short notice. There's no one managing my cabin, & to make matters worse he thinks we ran off to dance in some fields with you wearing a sari."
"I'm not fond of saris. I had to wear one at a family wedding and it was a nightmare trying to get out of it when I needed to pee. I'd much rather wear pyjamas & dance in a field."
"What's the story for when he asks?"
"We had pancakes to attend to?" Maan shot her a serious look. "Sorry," she replied, and turned to look out of the window.
The driver turned up the usually dim radio as soon as a particular song started. He seemed to offer no explanation to his sudden inclination as 'O Haseena Zulfon Wali' began to play.
A few moments later, she could have sworn that Maan was humming to the song. Turning her head slightly but not wanting to be caught, she peered from the corner of her eye as his fingers tapped rhythmically to the song onto his thigh.
She smiled as she began to elaborate on his thigh tapping, using both her hands to mimick a tabla & shaking her head around in musical movements.
He grinned as he cleared his throat & began to sing quietly.
"O haseena zulfon wali jaane jahaan, dhoonde hai kaafir ankhein kiska nishan."
"Wah ji wah," Geet encouraged as she began to imagine herself as an ode to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
"Mehfil mehfil eh shama phirti ho kahaan, mehfil mehfil eh shama phirti ho kahaan."
"Woh anjaana, dhoondti hoon!"
The driver, who was secretly enjoying Maan's rendition, cringed at Geet's screeching voice. Maan squeezed his eyes shut, hoping her voice would fade away if he couldn't see her terrible singing.
"Woh deewana, dhoondti hoon!"
The driver shot a pleading glance at Maan, who silently urged him to drive a little faster as they were approaching KC. He didn't have the heart to tell her to stop singing, she seemed so happy & carefree, even though she was no Shreya Ghoshal.
"Chala kar jo chihp gaya hain, woh parwana-"
"O Haseena zulfon wali kya kehna!"
"Maan, I was still-"
"I just really love this song," he spoke in a rush as he continued repeating the same lyrics. Geet continued being Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, & they were so lost in their own world that they had failed to notice the car stopping outside KC, or Manish's furious gaze on them in the back of the car, singing their worries away.
"Sir, Mr Khurana-" the driver tried to inform them but Geet waved him away as she waved an arm in the air with approval of Maan's singing.
It was only when a loud knock was heard from Geet's window that she jumped, breaking out of her reverie and Maan instantly shut up.
The driver rolled the passenger windows down with a shaky hand as Manish's head came through the window.
Geet shrunk back, resisting the urge to cling onto Maan for dear life.
"So this is why you both took the morning off, hmm? Hmm?!"
His nostrils flared & only then did Geet notice the truly scary side of him, the side that Maan spent day & night avoiding & saving himself from. What they said was true; business was a lethal game. And to succeed, one had to master the art of being ruthless.
"I suspected you were up to no good from last night," Manish said, & then his jaw twitched as he watched Maan's expression turn into confusion.
"Last night? What do you mean?"
But Geet had been all aware of Manish's omnipresence in their confrontation with Chitti last night, and so she swallowed the dryness in her throat to let her voice be heard.
"What are you going to do about Pammi madam, sir?"
