It's the time of year when my kids come home to celebrate the festival. It's also the time to thank the Lord for blessing us and keeping us happy throughout the year.
Ritual talks: I love to light up my house with colourful diyas. I personally go out and pick them up. Every year, I try changing the decoration pattern and opt for more attractive lamps.
Wish list: I wish peace, happiness and prosperity to everyone.

Diwali bole toh:
As a child, it meant 20 days of holidays, eating lots of mithai and delicious food. Now, it means reconnecting with friends and bargaining to get a day's holiday!
Ritual talks: I love making rangoli with flowers and tying a toran on my door. I don't like colours so much, so I prefer using flowers for decoration. This is one custom that I can never think of missing.
Wish list: I have a couple of wishes. First is a five-karat diamond solitaire ring. Second, I would love to have a home theatre system and a popcorn-making machine in a separate room. Lastly, I would like to go on a three-day vacation with all my school and college friends whom I've lost touch with.
Ronit Roy

Diwali bole toh: Lights, puja, gifts, friends, family and food!
Ritual talks: We do Lakshmi puja every year.
Wish list: I have already got a 50th anniversary Rolex Master II as my birthday gift this year. I guess other expensive gifts will have to wait now!
Keerti Gaekwad

Celebrationsm and above all, holiday time!
Ritual talks: We shop, do puja and ask Goddess Lakshmi to come to our home.
Wish list: I gifted my husband Sharad a laptop and play station on his birthday recently. Now we are eagerly waiting to move into our new apartment.

A lot of holidays and sweets. Also, meeting friends and bursting crackers.

Diwali bole toh:
Everything is lit up and people are on a shopping spree. There is also a scientific reason behind Diwali. After the rains, there is a menace of mosquitoes and flies. The diyas and the crackers keep the insects at bay!
Ritual talks: Visiting friends, inviting them over and exchanging gifts.
Wish list: I want Goddess Lakshmi to visit my home this year!
Shweta Tiwari

It is the festival of lights. As I love bright lights and candles, it excites me. Also, during Diwali I get to go back home and spend time with my folks. I will be celebrating the festival in my new house this year.
Ritual talks: I love making rangolis with colour and flowers. There is a Ganpati rangoli that I like making. I also love decorating the house with diyas. I am not particularly fond of firecrackers, especially those noisy bombs.
Wish list: I just wish that everyone's life is full of bright light and warmth so that there is no space for darkness or gloom.
Tanaaz Lal

Enjoying yourself, new wishes and taking it to great heights, where not only you, but your happiness and wishes are seen by everyone.

Wish list: I'm very happy that I'm getting my mangalsutra.
Shilpa Saklani
Diwali bole toh:
Putting up little lanterns across the house, wearing new clothes and being in a festive mood.
Ritual talks: As a child, I would draw Goddess Lakshmi's footsteps right from the entrance of our house to the throne of the Goddess. It's a traditional ritual in our family and even now I make these symbolic steps from what we call 'ghol' (a mixture of flour and rice powder).
Wish list: I have never asked for anything. Even as a child, I was happy and content with whatever I had. I am a very religious person and I thank God for whatever blessings he has showered upon me.
