As usual like every one, I loved the episode. I don't think I remember anything other than seeing Mother Kali. I don't know mythologically if this is how it happened or not, but it made total sense as the scenes receding did pave Parvathi taing Kali roop. She was distraught that she was unable to provide the safety her kids need ( in her mind as a mother) and it just so happned that someone tried to kill her daughter. In Kali roop she has no barriers, her only focus is destruction. hence she took that roop.
I loved the confrontation with Lord Shiva. If you observe, Kali addresses Parvathi in 3rd person. How neat is that ? Kali and Parvathi are different attributes of the same shakti. Multiple personalities if you will. What Parvathi could never verbalize , Kali did. Why her? Why is she being asked to sacrifice time and time again. I don't think it is ever answered by Mahadev. She is the mother who never bore any of her children in her womb. She is mother who gave up her kids for the sake of other million and millions of kids. Her kids suffer just because they are born to her. They are threatened time and time again. The ultimate protector comes out. Before her Lord Shiva had to become a child. As a batuk, he also needed protection, the love. The same thing made her take Kali form made her become Maha Gauri again.

Meaning: Lakshmi saraswathi, parvathi 3 mothers to the world. She is the beginning ( moolam) for these 3 mothers.She is the first mother to the universe. The mother that kills all the devils(rakshasas) so that their mothers will be free from the sins of their sons. The wives and mothers of all the gods who believes durga will always have the blessings of mother (durga) with them.
