Sangrur is a district in Punjab. From Mohali you first reach Patiala and then Sangrur. Its a district with south border being Bathinda, east being Patiala, west and north being Ludhiana/ Ferozepur. Its a very very small old world type of town. It is considered the rice bowl of the country. Not very upscale or modern - quite unlike what they showed in the serial.
