As already pointed out, rape is not just about the sex. So, legalizing prostitution is a separate issue from that. As to the question in title, yes IMO prostitution should be legalized.

@ Bold...Absolutely right Free... ...Nuff of parochial thinking I say ..Every nation should bring in such a delilghtful change to their legal system...And let me tell ya why ..

I bet prostitution as an industry is many times bigger than all existing ones ...It generates greater revenues than Bollywood and Hollywood put together ...Especially when the resources are opulent ..Much higher than the world's shell gas resevres ...and offers a different kinda heat for all nithered souls ...😛 ..Isn't the time right to bring such entrepreneurs into the mainstream and offer em a chance to contribute to the nation's economy in a more meaningful way ? ...Thats one amazing way to boost the economy I say...and there is nothing repugnant about that ...They ll earn legally ..They ll pay taxes on their hard earned fortune ...This ll open up newer employment opportunities ...If legalized, many new talented people would be encouraged to pursue a glorious career ...The scope is simply humongous ...And the benifits are way too many to articulate in such a scant place ...

Legalizing it would also mean greater competetion which ll lead further to a greater quallity of services on offer ...Many new innovative ideas would be engendered, taking the industry that currently operates only slyly and behind some sorta illusive moral veil, to its glorious height ...

The UNIs too might wanna run Under Grad, Post Grad programs in prostitution, the trade ..to guide the aspirant candidates and put em on a right professional trajectory ...Ruling out the need to rely on the crafty middlemen / women...and stop em from slugging their clintele .. Earn more and build more flamboyant brothels ..🤪

And then every young heart would sing ... And this time legally and with Pride ...

^^^^^^

" We are gonna wear it out tonight ...So far beneath the Red Lights ...
" So cum along, let's have a fun time partying ..."
🥳

Vintu ..😛

Legalization of prostitution and rape are two completely different issues. In my opinion it should get classified as a profession but lets don't get into that as it is a total different ball game...

I don't think rapes occur due to sex starvation, it might be a cause but the more important factor is the "beast" instinct and getting satisfied by overpowering someone...🤢

Rapes may be partially reduced by making the punishments stricter but uprooting it requires major changes in the societal mind set.
