Don't you think that deep down, the father of the four girls actually cares about them and their mom. When he said he wasnt sure about the marriage of his daughter, I think he would have considered it more, if his evil 2nd wife wasn't his guilty concious, I just think deep down he is not such a bad man after all, what do ya'll think?

Good question😊 - I think he might as well does, since he knows that she didn't do all this diliberatly... And as a person she was a wife that every husband desire - But I think the thought that she couldn't give him a male heir always frustrates him and so he shows more love towards his other wife

Yes, I think he does care for them, but he is very taken in by his 2nd wife and mother. He actually does have the capacity for caring as we can see from his relationship with his son and 2nd wife, I think he just got the worng end of the stick... however, he still has to prove himself by showing a bit more affection towards his daughters and 1st wife, only that will ever redeem himself in my eyes.
