Sonam's not sexy, she lacks that femme fatale oomph which apparently has been in since forever. However, when I look at her, I think she's beautiful. Not hot, sexy, sizzling [insert other adjectives], but she's pleasant to look at. Her look is very ethnic, very Indian, she looks very proper and is full of grace. In ways, she represents the Indian woman (I know that's generalizing...but she reminds me of the ideal Indian woman..or woman). She has sharp features, which sometimes make up takes away from. Simplicity is where she scores.

she does the modern, gossip-girl diva type roles well, but she doesn't have the range of expressions or the strong dialouge delivery for a true "desi" character, but let's see--maybe she's gotten better since Mausam and Players.
