Hi friends!

As it is the end of January, let us remember THE GREAT INDIAN PATRIOTS who were born in January

Swami Vivekananda & Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose

Both Swami Vivekananda & Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose were born in January.

January 12 2013 was Swami Vivekananda's 150th birth anniversary.

January 23 was Subhash Chandra Bose's birth anniversary.

This article is our tribute to both the patriots.

Swami Vivekananda :

Swami Vivekananda was born into a Bengali family. His birth name was Narendranath Datta. He studied B.A.

When he was a child, he was very short tempered. At that time, his mother used to pour cold water on his head to cool his anger down.

A britisher suggested him to meet Ramakrishna Paramahansa.

Ramakrishna Paramahansa was a Brahmin & the priest of Kalika Devi temple.

When Swami Vivekananda went to Ramakrishna Paramahansa, Vivekananda questioned him about God.

Paramahansa asked Vivekananda to touch his toe. When Vivekananda touched Paramahansa's toe, Vivekananda felt that he experienced God. Vivekananda accepted Paramahansa as his Guru.

Ramakrishna & wife Sharada Mata considered Vivekananda as their child.

Ramakrishna Paramahansa gave Narendranath the new name 'VIVEKANANDA' (Vivek means Intelligence & Anand means Happiness)

Vivekananda went to Kanyakumari & meditated. In his memory, Vivekananda memorial was constructed in Kanyakumari.

From there, he went to Chicago in America to attend the Vishwa Dharma Sammelana (World Religious Conference).

There everyone gave speech addressing the audience as 'Ladies & Gentlemen'.

But Vivekananda addressed the audience as 'My dear brothers and sisters'

The audience liked the way he addressed them and they clapped for him happily.

Some foreigner kept Bhagvadgeeta completely below every other religious books of the world & told Vivekananda that Bhagvadgeeta was kept last & hence had lesser value than the other religious books.

Vivekananda immediately pulled out Bhagvadgeeta. Due to this, all the other religious books fell down.

At that time, Vivekananda said to the foreigner, "Bhagvadgeeta is the base & foundation of all other religions. It is the base of the world. Because there is Bhagvadgeeta, other religions exist. If the base Bhagvadgeeta is removed, all other religions will fall down"

Vivekananda was extremely genius. He used to read any book very quickly within no time. His concentration power & memory power wer brilliant.

Vivekananda had given a message to the youth, 'AWAKE AND ARISE. DON'T STOP TILL YOUR GOAL IS REACHED'

Vivekananda's birthday 12th Januray is celebrated as National Youth Day of India.

How many Indians know that 12th January is Indian Youth Day?

Indian youths know when is Friendship day & Valentines day. But how many youths know that 12th January is National Youth Day?

Vivekananda died at the age of 32..!!

Just in a short span of his life, he mastered religion & philosophy & inspired billions of people by his positive attitude & beautiful thoughts. Just imagine, if he lived for some more years, how much more would he have contributed to our country & the world..!!!!

When Britishers tried to convert Hindu people, Vivekananda said, "Our country people already have a religion. What they need is not religion! Their requirement is a dress to cover themselves, food to keep them alive & shelter to protect them. SERVICE TO MAN IS SERVICE TO GOD"

Subhash Chandra Bose :

Subash Chandra was born into Bengali family on January 23. He was extremely intelligent & studied B.A. He got 2nd rank in 10th standard & 4th rank in Indian Civil Services.

Both Vivekanda & Subhash Chandra Bose's fathers were advocates.

Subhash Chandra considered Gandhiji & Chittaranjan Das as his Gurus. He was the first one to address Gandhiji as 'The Father Of Our Nation"

When we didn't get freedom due to Gandhiji's shanti & ahimsa, Subhash Chandra Bose formed a military known as the 'Azad Hind Fauj'

Bose said to the country people, "Tum mujhe khoon (young soldiers) do aur main tumhe aazaadi (freedom) doonga"

Subhash Chandra Bose was one of the main persons who brought freedom to India.

Even though both Subhash Chandra Bose & Vivekananda belonged to a rich family & were intelligent & well educated, they sacrificed their youth & wealth for our Nation & people of our Nation.

They worked hard to change the condition of India from ghulam (servant) Bharat to Aazaad (Independent) Bharat.

These days, how many Indian politicians send their children to the Indian Army or any other Defense Force..????

When will these politicians bring back their corrupt black money from Swiss bank & clear the loans of our country & make us Aazaad (free) from loans?

SALUTE TO ALL OUR FREEDOM FIGHTERS, SOLDIERS AND ALL OTHER PATRIOTS WHO STRUGGLED AND ARE STRUGGLING FOR OUR SAFETY AND RESPECT.

TODAY WE ARE EXISTING BECAUSE THEY FOUGHT AND SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES FOR US..!!!!

Hi, saw ur post in this forum so i'm repeating my request here, in case u are active on this forum :-

That's a great thought for all of us. Can i ask a question please if you don't mind ?

Do you have any hyper links on articles about the disappearance of Netaji ?
i found out about a few books for example - "india's biggest cover up" - it is about Indian leaders of that time deliberately trying to keep Netaji away from the political scene so that J.Lal ji could be crowned as the first PM.
Any ideas where i can read about it further because i find that book a little expensive..its priced at about Rs 600/- and u can get it at about Rs.450/ after discount but since it is a one time read only and most of my friends wouldn't like to borrow it (even if i offer it for free !) so i can't afford it at the moment but if i find smth on the web...hope u find time to check it out.
