Armaan Jain's debut in rom com

Director Imtiaz Ali's brother Arif will reportedly direct Kareena Kapoor'ssousin Armaan Jain in his debut film whose shooting will shortly begin.

"Arif is making his first film for Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan's production house, Illuminati Films. Although details are being kept under wraps, Kareena Kapoor's cousin, Armaan Jain (son of Reema Jain, and Randhir Kapoor's nephew) will make his debut with the film," informed an insider.

Arif, like Imtiaz and Sajid (Imtiaz's another sibling), started off as a writer. He wrote dialogues for Ahista Ahista that hit the floors in 2006.

Illuminati films is tight lipped about the entire venture, but the buzz is that the film in all likelihood will have a new girl paired with Armaan.

According to some sources the film is a rom-com. "It's going to be a sweet film. Arif has a strong hold on his story and dialogues. He has had a few informal discussions about it with his brothers. But it's completely Arif's baby. Imtiaz is proud of the fact that his brothers are getting into the industry," quoted a daily.
