PART 19

Arnav : ENOUGH... Just Stop this Bullshit all of you..

Arnav was enraged got to his fully charged ASR mode when he heard his wife was being accused for the mistake which was not hers.

This shaked the whole family.Arnav talking against everyone for a girl ? That surely hit Anjali the most but since the point of concern was Dhruv's matter that is her son's matter mamiji butted in.

Mami : Arnav bitwa, do you know what had happened here? Don't shout without any reason. We need to know from Khushi why she did this and the concerned people who are involved in this.

Arnav : You should check with your son before blaming Khushi on his love affair with Shraddha and which is not at all fault of hers.

Nani : Chotte, you mean..

Arnav : I know about Shraddha and Dhruv relationship.

Mami : Arnav bitwa, do u mean thats the reason why you cancelled your engagement with Shraddha?

Arnav was locked in this question. He couldnt open his mouth as he had to disclose his marriage secret too in this matter. He was about to open his mouth to let out the truth when Akash understanding the situation came in to rescue his brother.

Akash : Yes. Bhai did stop the engagement as he knew about Dhruv;s affair.

Brothers passed glances at each other so as to handle the situation themselves but Arnav turned towards Khushi who was standing aloof with her head down and crying. He so felt like hugging her tight to console her. Khushi could understand his situation now and the way she got blasted infront of everyone hurt her so much. She couldn't tolerate more. She loved the man infront of her and more than him the family who now points finger at her for helping her devar.

Mami : After knowing that Shraddha was going to be his bhabhi ?Dhruv bitwa, whats all this rubbish ?

Dhruv : Ok.. Let me explain first. All of you first understand that this my life matter and I don't want anyone to argue or fight with Khushiji who was not even aware of this matter till yesterday .She did something good for me which turned out to be a big blame on her itself.Sorry Khushiji.( turning towards the family) Shraddha and me were friends in college and we developed into a relationship from there.

Mami ( interrupted) : So why did she agree to marry Arnav bitwa? You also didn't talk a word at that time?

Dhruv : Because of her family pressure. They were hell bent on marrying her with Bhai. They were not ready to listen to her consent. What can she do when a family pressurizes her so much? Thats when I resorted to bhai's help.

Nani : SO you all knew about this when the engagement had been arranged ? you brothers were fooling us?

Akash : No Nani, it was not to fool you, we didn't know that you had arranged for the engagement till the last minute.You all concealed it from us. Suddenly when di asked bhai to get engaged bhai could only help in this matter by denying.

Akash showed eyes to Arnav who looked at him in shock and Dhruv who nodded to continue. Anjali was all silent listening to her brothers and their arguments. Shyam and mamaji could do nothing other than staring at this "Public Display of Brothership" between them. Shyam had caught the eyes of his brother in law which was looking at Khushi.

Akash : I know what we did was a big mistake. Please forgive us. Khushiji didn't know abt this till Dhruv told her yesterday when she saw both of them together. She just joined them for a coffee and was trying to help them to talk to us that's all.

Dhruv : Please understand I have not done any criminal offence I just loved one girl and it just happened that everything was out in the wrong understanding.

Nani: Whatever bitwa, we are not satisfied. You all did cheat us. Khushi bitiya I know you are not in this but we couldn't help but suspect you. I apologise on everyone's behalf. Let me talk to Sarita ji tomorrow and decide till then I don't want to hear about this discussion in this house.

Arnav was constantly looking at Khushi with the guilt but she couldn't bear more and ran upstairs towards her room. Looking at the retreating figure Arnav couldn't hold much and decided to spit out the truth infront of the family. He cant let his wife getting insulted infront of his family.He wanted to let the whole world know that she was his wife. No matter what she has in her mind she should be given more respect in every terms as his wife.

Arnav: I need to talk to all of you for one minute.

Akash and Dhruv got a heart attack as Arnav was going to tell the truth of his legal marriage to everyone which would create more problems. They both winked at each other and went near Arnav.

Akash : Bhai please let nani talk to them.. Nani knows we value our Dhruv;s happiness more than anything else.

Dhruv : Bhai please don't get your name spoiled because of me. Please.. I m sorry everyone for everything. I don't want my bhai to get the bad name again.

Arnav gave the signature "What the" expression and a perplexed look as he wasn't getting what these were trying to say. They somehow wanted to stop him from telling the truth he knew. That raged him more and the lion was back. Both the brothers dragged him to his room while others left for their respective rooms.

Arnav was pacing in his pool side in fury, that's when his brothers arrived to become the shooting aim of ASR's anger.He was not allowed to announce his Khushi as his wife infront of his family that too by his own brothers. He was at the saturation point.Akash and Dhruv stood like school kids who had done some mischief and waiting for the punishment. They knew the lion is going to pounce on them for what had happened.

Dhruv- bhai -

Aakash (whispers)-dhruv, u stay calm, let me talk. (to Arnav) erm, bhai wo - -

Arnav-SHUT UP u both . Why are u both hell bent to stop me from introducing my WIFE to the family. I was about to tell everyone- -

Aakash-bhai, she is our bhabhi too, but bhai, u only think, was it the right time?Right Dhruv?

Dhruv-aakash bhai, u told me to stay quiet how can I deny you?

Aakash stared at him , but ASR continued.

Arnav-Aakash, Dhruv, its today or tomorrow that we have to reveal about my marriage with khushi, anyway disclose it today. U think after what all happened today, I should have been quiet dammit?

Aakash- but bhai, its not the right time now. wait for sometime. U know we are with u right.. di, she is already in one shock right? After what dhruv did - -

Aaksh-erm, I mean- - after knowing about dhruv and Shraddha, di is already, u know her bhai. Its just not time to open up all the wonders at a time.

Arnav-but Aakash, I dint like the way my wife was treated today. Be it the reason di or anyone, I cant see khushi in tears.

Dhruv- we know bhai, and we are with u. but we cant let anything aggrevate the situation right?.And one more thing do you think they will easily accept bhabhi with the sort of legal marriage that you had hidden from them all these days. It should be presented in a proper time Bhai. Take a look at what happened in my case.. So leave all those and First I guess u should console bhabhi

Aakash-yes bhai, they already have insulted her now if they comes to know about this the hate in her will increase and it will be very difficult for you to pacify them. We don't want bhabhi to get into such a situation. As Dhruv said you take care of bhabhi, that's ur priority. she needs u more at present. Other things we will manage.

Arnav: Akash.. I don't know I haven't heard from her mouth till now but..

Akash: Bhai.. She loves you more than you think. Payal told me how she loves you truly. Don't worry I know you also understand that but mere words are not always necessary to prove true love.

Arnav :Yea Akash I know she loves me. I do as well.

Dhruv: wow then go for it. As a good husband go and console your wife Bhai.

Arnav seemed to be calm at present. He nodded and dhruv continued.

Dhruv-so bhai, what will u do to bring a smile on my bhabhi's face? Wait, let me suggest u

Before he could continue Aakash interruptd.

Aakash- n dhruv, lets go fr now. I guess bhai knows how to take care of HIS things. I am sure he will handle his wife's mood too, and will bring a change in the same.

Arnav surely felt light at heart hearing such motivating words from Aakash. He can bring a smile on his wife's face, he knew it, he had it in him, naturally.But he had to first ask apology to her for her family's behavior he thought

Dhruv- ya ya, now toh bhai has that X factor in him in-built na! I guess we should leave now. Bhai would be wanting to go to Bhabhi na?!

Both left teasing arnav, arnav was happy hearing Khushi designated as his wife, again and again. He loved to hear Bhabhi from his brother's mouth for khushi. It reminded him, that she was his, his in all ways, his wife, and now, forever. He knew she feels for him, he had to just confirm it from her. He wanted to make her as his soon. But before that, he had to go to her now. She needed him and his support at present, not much, just his presence would do it all. He left for her room.

Anjali was standing at the French windows of her room, watching the stars above, analysing her chote's behaviour of today. Shyam pulled a quilt on the sleeping pari on their bed, and went to stand behind Anjali.

Shyam- Anjali, are u okay?

Anjali turned around to face him, and shyam held her hands. Anjali looked down and her silence gave shyam his answers.

Anjali-today was so unexpected shyam. I never expected this from my brothers. First dhruv, and now chote too!

Shyam-Anjali, Don't think much. u sit down first.

He made her sit on the bed besides pari and sat besides his wife holding her hand.

Shyam-Anjali, look, it is dhruv who fell in love, and that is no crime.

Anjali-yes shyam, I know but - -

Shyam-I love u Anjali, and it's the same what dhruv feels for shradda. Accept that and plz, try to understand dhruv, he and shraddha are in love, who will understand love better than us? We have been together since I too don't remember when! Love is life u know! I guess we should convince all to think about Druv and Shraddha seriously.

Anjali-hmmm, I understand him. U are right. I will ask nani to talk with shraddha's family. but chote, he - - I am just upset with him. I was thinking for him, and that's why I took it all out on khushiji, and here chote is blaming me for all. U say shyam, is that fair? I mean I did a big mistake on lashing out a Khushiji. I wanted her to be my bhabhi and here she was also a part of this made my anger exceed out of control. Two people whom I had trusted much Chotte and Khushiji let me down today.

Shyam thought for a while and said.

Shyam-Anjali, have u seen arnav taking such stand for anyone before?

Anjali-no, never. Infact- - -wait what ? You mean ?

Shyam-yes, I mean the way he talks to Khushi, the way he appreciates her breakfast I mean he hasn't praised u till now. The way anger seethed him when he saw all of you attacking Khushi just like protecting his lamb.I think something is there in Arnav's mind.

Anjali-oh ya! I never saw it that way. U think there can b something more to it shyam? And I do remember I saw them inside Chotte's room together. Chotte hardly talks to any girls and he was so fluent in his behavior with Khushi that which was very different and I failed to notice it. You are right Shyam. But Khushiji.. does she also have the same feeling for him ? How do I talk to her. Poor baby I spoke to her so rudely.

Shyam : Apologise to her. Its out disappointment that you cant see her as your bhabhi you lashed out at her I know.Now you have a chance.. .But it was a bit over board. She doesn't have anyone else than Payal and us. So talk to her and ask her opinion too.

Anjali-ya, I will apologise her, I mistook her again. I wanted her to be in this house forever. She is so sweet and if they both agree for the marriage I will be the happiest person on earth Shyam. Let me go and talk to her.

Shyam : Wait Anjali ,its midnight. Ask her in the morning. Make sure your brother also agrees You can never trust him much.

Anjali hit him on his arm : Hey don't talk bad about chotte, he will also agree. My mom who is watching all this will make him agree.

Arnav slowly got into Khushi's room which was not locked. Khushi was packing her bags to leave the next day.The words which Anjali told her that she had no rights in the house pricked her heart. It was echoing all through her ears. Anjali was right in one way, she had not declared love to Arnav and how could Arnav announce her as his wife in public she thought. She thought it was better to leave the place as she had lost love from the family whom she loved the most. They were the ones who gave her the affection and love when it was needed. She felt like a pampered kitten in between them but she forgot the fact that all of this was temporary. One day or the other she had to leave. All these thoughts clouded her mind and her cheeks had the mark of dry tears.

Arnav looking at the pale face of his wife came near her and hugged her from the back. She closed her eyes to feel that touch that warmth which had provided her peace till now. She leaned back and touched his arms which was holding her waist tightly. He kept his head on her head and stood for a while.

Arnav: Sorry. I m really sorry. I didn't know my family would behave like this. I m sorry Khushi. Please don't hate me.

Khushi couldn't hear that word and she turned her face keeping the fingers on his lips..

Khushi : Its ok Arnav, I was at mistake today. I should have thought about my how much rights I had in this house before supporting Dhruv.

Arnav : Sh… Khushi you have all the rights in this house and on me. I was about to declare about our marriage to everyone but..

Khushi : No Arnav .. Its ok..It will lead to further complications. It will hurt Nani and Di and they will be devastated. Giving me respect is nothing compared to their health and feelings.

Arnav hugged her for thinking about his family than her self respect. She reciprocated the hug with all the might she had. He kissed her on his forehead and rested on it with his.

Arnav: Khushi … I love you. I truly love you. Please don't leave me.. I wont be able to survive without you.

Khushi was happy beyond words at this direct confession of Arnav. She was so much delighted and her happiness knew no bounds. He was expecting the same words from her and in turn she was about to kiss him which sent shivers through their spines. She wanted to kiss him to finally confess her love, confess her dream, to submit her love and life on him, give him the green signal to declare to the whole world that she was his wife, but stopped when she heard a knock. Thankfully Arnav had locked the door when he came inside. It was Anjali's voice and it shocked both of them. They broke their hug and looked at each other's faces. Khushi couldn't do anything rather than push Arnav to move away from there.

Anjali who was devoid of even one minute of sleep because of the curiosity she had on her chotte's and Khushi's wedding plans. She wanted to ask them their consent sooner.She came to Khushi's room after making sure Shyam was asleep.

Khushi :Anrav please go .. Di will mistake both of us together at this time at night. Please somehow hide somewhere.

Arnav: I don't care Khushi. Let her see. I will tell her the truth.

Khushi : Arnav please understand. Please…

Khushi's pouting face made him accept and he left the room from the balcony not before leaving a kiss on her cheeks as if saying she was his and making her mouth form an "O"Shape and a blush with a smile forming on her face.

Khushi opened to find a guilt stricken face of Anjali, they both came in and Anjali hugged her suddenly. Khushi couldn't react much because she was so strong in her hold and was crying.

Anjali : I am sorry Khushi. I shouldn't have talked to you that much. My stupid anger clouded my mind. Please forgive me..

Khushi : Di. You are much elder to me. Don't tell me all this big words to me. I was wrong and you had pointed out that's all. You are right I didn't have any authority to decide.

Anjali came back to see her face and cupped her cheeks.

Anjali : No Khushi. I didn't mean to offend you. Actually it was a part of my selfishness that I behaved like that. I wanted Chotte to marry one girl and chose Shraddha after much efforts. And I wanted you to marry Dhruv so that you can be with us till the end but when I got the shock that both my wishes were in drain I was angry at you. I know it was my stupidity to lash at you for no mistake of yours. Chotte was right. I didn't knw why I had questioned you.

Khushi was having another shock to hear about how Anjali was planning to marry her with Dhruv.She gulped down all her fears at once thinking of her Laad Governor's reaction if Anjali had disclosed it earlier. They would have seen the wrath of ASR live infront of their eyes. She thanked her devimayya as nothing of that sort happened.

Khushi : that's ok di. If you want me to stay then I will stay back. No problem. Who would want to leave such a lovely family ?

Anjali : Then why did you pack all your bags Khushi ?

Khushi : That was because.. I know I cant stay permanent.. but I can come and meet you whenever you want na..

Anjali: No.. that's y I have one request or you can call it an obligation to you. I want you to be in this house permanently not as a guest but as a bahu.

Khushi got startled at the statement. She was thinking whether Anjali was forcing to marry her with Dhruv.

Khushi : Di.. how? I mean.. I…

Anjali : DO you like my chotte Khushi ?

Khushi's eyes jumped out of socket hearing the most pleasant heart attack on earth. So God was leading her life in the correct way. Her shock made her stammer as she didn't expect such a sudden twist in her life. She thought they had to convince the family for her marriage but here Anjali was convincing her for their marriage. Destiny rules.. 😉

Khushi : Di.. what do you mean ?

Anjali: yes.. Will you marry my chotte? He is short tempered and a bit harsh but at heart he is pure and nice. If he starts to love you then he will give up his life for you. His love is uncomparable. I am sure he will surely hold you in his hands forever with love. He doesn't speak much more than his words his actions and gestures speak a lot about him. He is hardworking and strive to achieve success and he is successful because of his confidence and attitude. I cant say more about him but he will surely take care of you like a princess.

Khushi ( in mindvoice) : I know di. I m princess for him. He does take care of me like a glass doll. Im lucky di..

Anjali : Life has made his character tough but he is still my sweet chotte at heart. I want to know about your opinion before talking to him. Your consent is more important than his. If you agree then my chotte is the luckiest person on earth to get you..

Khushi ( smiled at the phrase) .. DI.. I… umm..

Khushi felt shy and her blush became evident on her cheeks which was noticed by Anjali. ANjali slowly smiled at the blush at it is the indication of an yes from Khuhi's side.

Khushi felt butterflies in her stomach. She had not felt the same when she was marrying him legally but this formal marriage that too with the family and the permission asked by Di made her feel that sort of same joy which every girl would have during her marriage.Khushi couldn't wait more longer as the matter may slip out of her hand if she hadn't replied.

Khushi ( bending her head down) :Hmm… Di.. Its an Yes. I ……..agree to marry Arnav. I mean I like him.

Anjali jumped in excitement and she was in cloud nine. She hugged Khushi who was also excited and she kissed on her cheeks and forehead.

Anjali : I m so happy Khushi.. You made my day.. I will check with Arnav tomorrow. I m sure he wont deny as I believe it. I should call you bhabhi soon and I am going to get my words back with the same right of my bhabhi who has all the right in this house.

Khushi : DI.. Don't think of it anymore. All said and done. Now better we forget that.

Anjali : This is why I want you with me Khushi . You are such a wonderful human being. I cant just express how happy I am .. Let me talk to Nani tomorrow morning. You take care and have a good sleep. But before that please keep all your bags inside the closet. You are not going anywhere. Its an order from a sister in law.

Khushi felt so happy hearing it and nodded her head. ANjali left the room and Khsuhi jumped in happiness after closing the door. She closed her eyes praying to God and most importantly her father who would have been happy now to see her marriage. She was sure that he was blessing her from somewhere.She danced merrily thinking about her marriage. Now it was the time to tease Arnav from her end. Laad Governer and his legally professional wife soon to be announced as a Formal Couple infront of the public. Mrs.Khushi Arnav Raizada as he calls - The thought itself made her happy to sway around the room and finally jumped on the bed thinking about the dream which she never misses a day.
