khushi: madhu!!!
arnav and khushi immediately bent down and looked at shocked. but rk was still all silent and looked at a lifeless madhu in his arms.
arnav: rk!!
suddenly the reality hit him and he realised that she was not talking to him.
rk: madhu!! (he tried to wake her)
khushi: madhu get up!! arnav do something.
arnav quickly ran towards his car.
rk: can you listen to me madhu?? say something damn it!!!
khushi : (who was crying heavily now) madhu!!! madhu please get up!! (she tried to rub her hand but to no use.
then rk did something which he never wanted to. he checked her pulse. it was feeble but still there.
rk : we don't have much time.
khushi nodded and just then arnav came and he flung open the door of car.
rk lifted her up and quickly got inside. khushi also sat on the front seat . and then they drove off.
arnav was driving at a top speed. khushi frantically called her father and informed then about the accident. they too were on their way to hospital.
while rk was on back seat with a limp madhu in his arms. he was nearly crying. he had never thought that he would cry for anyone but now he was afraid to loose her.
rk : you are alright!! okay?? can you listen me?? you are alright!!
i will never let anything happen to you!!!
soon they reached hospital and rushed madhu inside. her father was already inside along with anjali and samar. her father completely broke down on seeing her daughter like this.
when doctors were taking madhu inside they found her bangle to be stuck in rk's watch . they didn't had time so they quickly removed bangle form her hand and left it stuck with his watch.
soon operation began.
shamsher and samar left to talk to police. they wanted to nabb them soon.
rk was standing just by the OT door. his shirt was stained with blood. suddenly someone patted on his shoulder. it was anjali - the person he needed most at the moment.
but before anjali could say anything rk broke down like a child and hugged her.
anjali: (who was trying to control her tears but to no use) don't cry rishu !! she will be alright!!
rk: this happened just because of me di!!
anjali: no!! look at me!! (cups his face in her hand)
our madhu is going to be perfectly fine and she is going to be your Kate in the play also!! and now stop crying!!
rk : i want her to fight with me!!
anjali: she will surely do.
khushi broke down completely on seeing madhu like this. she knelt on the ground. arnav came forward and bent beside her.
khushi: we were best friends, and how come i didn't knew that someone was going to hurt her???
arnav: sshhh...
khushi: she is my best and only friend!! she is my sister arnav. i don't want to loose her!!
arnav: we are not going to loose her!! did you get that?? she is going to be perfectly fine!!
he then put his arms around her. khushi quietly laid her head on his shoulder.
soon samar and shamsher returned . but they found no clue about the attacker.
shamsher: (to rk and arnav) thank you beta!! thank you so much!! i think you two should go home and get fresh.
rk: no i will like stay here till the operation gets over.
arnav: me too.
shamsher: as you wish but thank you!!
about one and a half hour later doctor came out.
khushi: doctor!!! how's madhu??
dr : the bullet has been removed but she is still very critical due to excessive bleeding. the patient is unconscious now and we need to keep her under observation for next eight hours , only then we could be sure about her state.
i think you should go home and have rest. it's already 3 am and you need to here next morning.
after much persuasion rk, arnav and khushi agreed to go home along with anjali. anjali asked shamsher to allow khushi with them as it was not safe for her too be alone. so he agreed.
when they reached raizada mansion. khushi went to anjali's room with her . she got fresh and wore anjali's suit. then anjali gave her a glass of milk and asked her to sleep. though khushi didn't wanted to but tiredness took over her and shefell asleep.
anjali then went to rk's room. and as she thought, he was not asleep. he was standing besides window and staring at moon. she knew what he was thinking of. years back he lost his parents and always looked up in stars to talk to them whenever he was upset.
she wanted to talk to him but decided that it was not the right time as many things were going in his mind right now.
just then arnav came and took the glass of milk from her. he quietly put a sleeping pill in it and handed it bak to anjali. she knew that he needed this right now to silence his mind.
next morning:
rk woke up with a heavy head . he knew that di had given him something but he had no time to waste and soon got ready and rushed to hospital.
doctor was already there.
dr: madhu is stable now but still very weak . you need to take utmost care of her. so she need to stay in hospital for atleast ten days. and her medication can be a little expensive...
samar: you need not to worry about that. you just provide her best facility.
dr: sure. she will wake up in hour. then you can go to meet her but please only one or two at a time.
then he left.
khushi was beaming with joy and hugged anjali tightly. but rk , he still didn't knew how to react. she was safe and he too was happy but he was not ready to face her.
shamsher uncle!!
they all turned to see a crying trishna standing in the corridor. she was bruised and pale. it looked as if she was running from someone.
